Why Early Access?

  • I like the game a lot, but I'm not sure about others. This is a reality check.
  • Player feedback will help fix imbalances, which is especially important because the maps are randomly generated.
  • I have a couple of improvement ideas - like new units, mission types, and map modifiers - that I want to implement, but I'm not sure if I should commit to the game until I see the feedback.

“In the full version, I'm thinking of adding more features to make the missions feel a little more different from each other. Like for example:
  • More map modifiers, such as toxic environments, harder-to-mine minerals, or low-gravity planets.
  • Different mission objectives such as DNA harvesting.
  • More enemy unit types, such as ones that give buffs to other enemies.

About This Game

Zyx empire is rising again! Now, it's your job to invade planets, harvest resources, and strategically obliterate any species standing in your way.

Outsmart your enemies by predicting their next move!

Each mission drops you into enemy territory. Your job? Land, scout, extract resources, and analyze enemy behavior - all while staying alive for 20 turns or ensuring the opposition doesn’t.

Build infrastructure during missions!

Game features:

  • 15 missions (12 procedurally generated, 3 boss fights). Plus, there are occasional extra missions on normal and hard difficulties.

  • 3 difficulty levels - hard mode unlocks after completing normal.

  • 10+ enemy unit types, each with 4 variants that scale in strength. Stronger enemies appear on hard difficulty.

  • A mix of tower defense and turn-based strategy. Build turrets, extract minerals, and fight off waves of enemies.

  • Ironman Mode only. Every decision counts. No take-backs.

  • Unique combat mechanics. Predict enemy movement - you don’t shoot at them, you shoot where they will be.

I'm a solo dev, mostly a programmer, not an artist. So I used AI to generate some of the images used in the game, then refined them to look a bit better. Hopefully, it won't affect the gameplay experience too much.
