About This Game

You are dead. What happens next? Drinking and fighting, of course! As a reward for your brave deeds in Midgard (or, in the case of the Drunkard, his extreme alcohol tolerance), the gods have let you ascend to Brewhalla, where you get to do your favorite things for eternity: boozing and brawling. Have a brew, grab a weapon, and crush, kill, destroy, DRINK!

Set in a vivid, stylised, Norse afterlife, Bierzerkers is a multiplayer melee arena combat for all comers. While quick to pick up and get in some killing, the game has a great deal of depth, both individually and as a team.

Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their sheep!

Bierzerkers a free to play multiplayer melee arena combat game. It worked, but it was very Buggy and unplayable at the time i tried it. NEEDs more improvement, need debugging. Great concept, they are on the right track. Free players can only play the warrior, who has sword and shield. Looked like the other 4 classes were to be bought. It has a feedback report link in the menus. I left some feedback. Try it, and leave Feed back. but it is not working correctly. I hope they can fix this game. Need to list this game as Early Access or Say it is Beta test.

Extremely floaty combat and movement, doesn't feel like you're actually hitting anything.
I feel like theres no sound effects? Or maybe they're just not triggering for some strange reason.
Voice lines trigger too much and audio balance doesn't seem to work properly??

The game feels so weirdly unsatisfying in every way.
Weapons need more punch, abilities don't feel good, ults feel like garbage which makes it confusing that they do so much damage, and since its basically an auto-attack anyways allow me to hold down the mouse button instead of mash it out.

Oh also get your ♥♥♥♥ together and allow me to play all the classes.
This isn't a moba, it doesn't have a huge roster, and even in those games you can acquire new characters just by playing matches.

You should have put more time and effort into the gameplay and less time into the graphics, honestly.
Your game can look proper cartoony and have smooth animations, but if its not fun, its not worth playing.

EDIT: supposedly the devs are going to add an in-game currency where you can purchase Vikings just from playing. Take this recommendation at face value, it will still probably be a pretty good game. For now it's a little poop

Being a free to play game, recommendations don't mean much, as you can try it anyway. It's a neat little TF2+Arena game with some good humour. Easy to learn and play.

As it is right now, there is some major drawbacks. I don't know if the release was discussed at all or whatever, but this marketing scheme is cheesy and dumb.

There is 5 classes you can play, but you have to pay for four of them, which are $6 a piece individually so $24...OR you you can pay $20 for all 4. It's on sale right now for $14.99.

What? You have to pay for stock content on day 1? Was this game made by EA?

TF2 is one of the best free-to-play games ever made. That's a fact, look it up. Now imagine that you got one class for free and the rest you had to pay $5 each. How much bull would that be. Well you can play this and find out.

This is maybe a $10 game. How about you make people pay for this, and get all the classes up front, instead of being greedy.

Even if there was a way to unlock classes by leveling up, and this was just to get them early thats fine, but constantly seeing the "unlock" button that takes me to the store is right up there with cheesy facebook and mobile games.

It looks good, it looks fun, but there's no way this is worth BUYING characters that we should have from the start.

For fans of: Nosgoth, TF2, Loadout, and anything else within those genres. (Not referring to gameplay mechanics, etc. Simply if you're a fan of those games, you'll most likely enjoy this.)

Even in its early state I feel like there is a lot of promise with Bierzerkers. The competitive and coopertive gameplay is there, nothing feels TOO OP from what I've experienced thus far, and overall it's just really enjoyable. I'm REALLY looking forward to seeing what's done with customization and other classes. The latest build is very stable which is very promising, and I feel like there's enough content to warrant a $10 price. If you're not a fan of Early Access games at least keep this on your radar because it's definitely worth your time.

Bierzerkers is a sort of TF2 meets Monday Night Combat meets Chivalry kind of thing.
The visual style is pretty nice and I like the viking theme, it's not something you see very often.

However, the gameplay can be a bit frustrating.
  • First off, it feels a little clunky at times and actually made me think that it might be in late beta or something, but it isn't super bad.
  • Second, the fact that you are given only two playable characters for free and are otherwise required to spend six dollars on any other characters is utterly insane. To the best of my knowledge, there is no in-game currency for buying these characters.
  • Third, matches are all extremely one-sided. I didn't play a single one that wasn't scored something like forty or more points to zero. This leaves them feeling unfulfilling from either side.

Some other notable things I found distasteful:
  • Valkyrie, one of the free characters, is too strong. She has two shields that prevent enemy projectiles or players from passing through and has an easy setup for grabbing the sheep (the flag) at the start of each round. In case devs read this, I'll describe it here: Valkyrie can springboard from the starting area and while in mid-air tap right click once for a flip and then again for another and then press shift to fly up to the sheep spawn. Then, if timed well, the sheep will spawn and Valkyrie can press shift again to plummet down to the other side of the arena with sheep in hand.
  • Say you get lucky and manage to find yourself on the winning team, nice. You may just win this match. But beware of autobalance! After your team has racked up sixty-something points to the enemy's zero, you'll suddenly find yourself on the losing team with no notification whatsoever. What's worse is that this can happen to anyone, I started scoring points for my team and in the last minute of the match I was flipped to the other team. So great!
  • I already mentioned this but it's so bad it's worth mentioning again... SIX DOLLARS for a character! I know this game is free-to-play but come on now, that's totally unreasonable.

But anyway, when you aren't playing against four Valkyries and both teams are relatively even and you aren't autobalanced to the team with zero points, it's fun. At it's core, this game is nice and enjoyable, but not in its current state. There are some neat ideas and it has nice theming but I just can't see myself investing any time into it.

Bierzerkers, a fun little multiplayer third person melee/shooter game where you murder other vikings and laugh while doing so. Brilliant art, funny (internet meme based) dialogue, interesting abilities and a possible bright future in store if enough people pick it up and keep playing. It's currently in its early days of Early Access so there's no customization yet, but this will all be added in due time. Had a talk with one of the developers ingame and it's great that they play with the community, chat and talk passionately about their game.

Next content patch is supposed to add party support, which I really hope it does, so I can play with my friends a lot easier ( you can join each other's games now via Steam, but no strict party matchmaking just yet).

-Gorgeous, silly art style.
-Fast paced and bloody action
-Possible bright future

-Not enough players yet, JOIN US!
-Unfamiliar with the developers update speed.

This game is simply lots of fun to play. The class diversity is excellent. I was a little disappointed in the team sizes (5v5) but on the maps we have, that is really the ideal number of players.

This game also makes you very thirsty, so make sure you have enough drink on hand.

I had high hopes for this game. It's a game that had a lot of potential. Said potential was lost due to how the developers started to act after the free to play release.
We as a community asked for free to play, because the game's playerbase was so low, that would hardly get a single match in a whole day. The devs actually answered to our feedback and gave us the free to play.
Now, where did they ruined their game?
1st- The developers took away their team deathmatch mode from their servers (the main attraction to the game) and only have 1 game mode and only 1 map. This issue happened before the free to play release, and even after the community gave the developers feedback on how having only bierball available is boring, they didn't care.
2nd- The developers released a "fake" free to play game, where you're forced to pay to be able to unlock more characters from the game (you don't have any type of in game currency). You're forced to stay with only 2 characters. In a heavy teambased game like this, being able to have a way to unlock the other characters is necessary to counter other team compositions. Given that freemium users have this big disadvantage over paying users, this game is considered pay2win (paying users will have the character advantage that will help your team and counter the enemy team).
This was also the reason why you see so many negative ratings, because even after all the feedback, the developers don't care. Which leads to the third, and I will explain why.
3rd- The developers are lazy , aren't able to handle constructive criticism and delete your criticism threads. Me, along with other players that actually cared about the game, posted feedback over the months, that is after the free to play release, constantly ignored. Which is also deleted after the developer seeing that is criticizing the game (even if its constructively).
I will give you an example, where I posted a thread saying the reason why the developers ruined the game and where they could fix it. The developer minutes after posted saying that I had a grammar mistake on my thread and proceeded to delete my thread after 1 hour (which is in other words mocking the players that pay them the food that they get on their table, a big middle finger to the people that actually cared about this game and that felt the need to help the game improve).
I was once one of the people who defended the game after the free to play release, because I thought that the developers just made a mistake on their free to play model and that they cared about the game. I was wrong, very wrong.

Seeing how the developers ruined their game and them not caring about fixing it. Seeing how they obviously can't handle criticism and make their forums like we're in Germany during the times of Hitler (nothing against Germans ofc).
