About This Game

For centuries they have terrorized humankind but now they need your help! Don’t worry, though. They don’t glitter!

Do YOU think you have what it takes to bring them home?

“If Tim Burton made a PC strategy game, this would be it. Vampires is a great addictive title from CBE Software, the guys who brought you Ghost in the Sheet and J.U.L.I.A.”

True PC Gaming

Vampires: Guide Them to Safety! is an offbeat action puzzle game, filled with vampires, traps, crazy Transylvanian music and fun.

In short, it’s a comedy puzzler where non-glittering bobbleheaded ignorants meet reversed tower defense. Vampires! are a genre mix where strategy, puzzle and action meet fun and frustration. The goal of the game is to guide those bobbleheads through labyrinth and into their crypts while avoiding obstacles, traps and vampire hunters on the way.

It’s almost dawn and vampires are returning into their coffins for a well-deserved sleep after a long night. Time is ticking until the dawn and they’ve discovered that a bunch of vampire slayers got there first and set up traps! Now it’s up to you to use your supernatural powers of tile rotation, garlic-based repellent and spider net slow-down, to help them overcome all obstacles and reach their regular daily rest.

How does the game play?

Your main objective is to save vampires by leading them safely through the labyrinth and into their crypts. To do so, you can rotate the labyrinth parts to create new paths or use garlic-based repellent and spider-net slowdown to prevent vampires from walking into peril. Many traps are indeed lurking for the poor vampires. Starting with simple ones like pure light, things get more complicated down the road. Mobile wooden stakes, silver gun bullets, hired assassins or crazy garlic sappers wait impatiently to vaporize your vampires once for all.
Do you think you’ve mastered the game already? Wait! There’s more. Each non-tutorial level can be completed with additional objectives to earn silver or even gold status. And rest assured that the gold status will not be easy.

What’s in the game?

• 65 challenging levels
• Over 12 hours of gameplay on basic mode with a replayability factor due to different levels of completion
• Different types of vampires, each with their own behavior
• Various offbeat traps including mobile wooden stakes, rotating mirrors
• Vampire hunters and garlic sappers hot on your track
• 3 degrees of level completion targeted at casual and hardcore players alike
• 4 different environment types
• Special skills of garlic repellent and spider-net slowdown
• Interactive tutorials
• Achievements for extraordinary good and bad deeds alike

Vampires: Guide them to Safety!

This is a fantastic puzzle game where you have to get your vampire (s) to their crypts before the sun rise.
This is quite a challenging game; you need to rotate specific blocks so your vampire (s) can get to their destinations in one piece. But beware, you have Vampires can only turn right or left and others will be happy to go straight ahead. It can become quite tricky when you have to save 5 vampires on the same level.

Hardcore gamer or not, you will have fun with this one and for $4.99 it is a great pastime.

The positives:

- Great game atmosphere (music, sound effects)
- Easy to learn
- 9 levels with 8 sub-levels
- 32 achievements to unlock
- Only $4.99
- Downloadable content

The Negative:

- Can be frustrating in some levels

Overall, you must help those vampires to safety or you will have blood on your hands! A great game to have in your library.

Vampires: Guide Them to Safety! is a game that I could recommend for two kinds of gamers: casual gamers as well as hardcore achievement hunters. To start with the latter, you will be challenged: Both mentally and in skill, it's genuinely demanding and only the finest will ever 100% this game.

Now casuals will have a blast, it's kind of cute despite its ghoulish theme and the game is easy to understand. It's perfect for a 'quick run', most levels don't take more than a minute to complete so you can just jump in and play for any period of time.

The game itself is hard to describe. I don't think I've ever played anything like it. There are some tower defense elements, a pinch of 'puppetmaster', a healthy dose of Lemmings and some influences from Orcs Must Die!. That may sound weird, it probably is weird, but it still makes for a very decent game.

Not knowing how/if the difficulty will ramp up, but there's plenty of gameplay for your money here. If I may give an estimate it'll keep you busy for at least 10 hours. And for 5$, that's a steal.

- Pretty fun
- Great art direction
- Good value
- Quite original
- Can be as difficult as you want it to be
- Trading cards

- Some mechanics seem unfair
- Getting those gold medals can be frustrating as hell

Do you like vampires? Well there's two answers to this question:

- You do? Great!! Then you can help save them from sunlight, silver bullets and hired assassins by guiding them to their lairs.

- You don't? Great!! Then you can guide them into sunlight, silver bullets and hired assassins to your hearts content.

Whether you love or hate them, Vampires: guide them to safety is a fun and challenging puzzle game that's great to kill a few minutes or even spend an hour or two on. With increasingly difficult chapters which add new dangers and new tricks to use, it's certainly no walk in the park. More like a walk in a cemetary, at night, in the fog..... with odd sounds and a wolf howling.

I have a bit of a problem with this game. You need to be able to tell left from right in a hurry. ;)

That aside, it's a nice little puzzler, quirky, cute and smart, provided you like to test your reflexes while thinking on your feet. Personally I like my puzzles to wait in the background while I'm lazily reaching for my coffee mug, but despite the fact that I won't be playing this game much, I'm still enamoured with the concept, the puzzles, the music and the love that clearly went into this (really cheap for the amount of content) little game. So if lemmings meet reverse tower defense sounds good to you, and if you like to twitch a bit while you think, then this one might be for you.

While this is a puzzle game, logic will only get you so far in it. Finding a solution to a puzzle is but a small part of gameplay: you then have to implement it. It's real-time, and most of the challenge comes from having your attention divided and having to time your clicks just right, which is never something I want to see in a puzzle game. Results can be unpredictable, which means there's a fair bit of trial and error involved. It gets even worse when the game starts introducing randomization in the pathfinding, ensuring that you can't work out a solution ahead of time.

A strategy game that is both intuitive and challenging. Vampires: Guide Them to Safety! has you playing as one of the badguys; as the name implies, you must help vampires return to their cript before the sun rises. The game throws interesting obsticles in your way, keeping you on your toes, but the best thing about this game is that it presents you with all these problems in a very entertaining and addiciting format. I would hightly recommend checking this title out!

This game is all about getting your vampires to safety before the sun rises.
It's quirky, its fun and full of charm. But, don't expect it to be an easy task, along the way you will come across puzzles, traps and all manner of nasty obsticels to try and stop you in your tracks. If you enjoy a challenge and a laugh then here's a game for you!

Vampires Guide them to Safety is a fund and quirky little game that is perfect for playing in those brief interludes of time between major events which doesn't otherwise allow for extended game play. This video is an informal introduction to the game.

It has a very balanced gameplay which allows one to proceed with puzzle solving but also rewards challenging oneself to accomplish the mission faster and better.

At the start we get to an underground nightclub (located, oddly, in a slaughterhouse) somwhere in Los Angeles. After addressing the doorman in Romanian, my attendant leads me in the club. And just as I order a drink, the sprinkler suddenly system activates, raining blood down on everyone inside. It is then that me (and the audience) realizes that everyone in the club is a vampire.
I suddenly throw open my black-leather trenchcoat. The vampires look on my weapons opened to their view now, figure with awe, mumbling the words: "it's the Daywalker!"

I pull out a shotgun and open fire on the vampires, who instantly burn to ashes when killed. When the gun is knocked out of my hands by bartender, I use a set of silver stakes to kill that dodger and more vampires, including the disk jockey. Soon all the vamps are either dead or have fled except for one; a heavyset vamp...

Then I turned 'Blade' movie off and started to help old disabled vampires to cross the roads and put 'em to sleep in their cosy coffins in time.

Many of them never got to rest although.. And there's even an achivement for this.
