The only thing that sucks about this game is the camera, other than that it's AMAZING. The camera isn't game breaking but can be challenging to platform sometimes ...

It's an adorable game, though sadly I beat it in about a half hour on my FIRST playthrough ... The worlds are fun and creative, I like slaughtering the caterpillars ... The game is just good platforming fun. If you love platformers I'd definitelly suggest buying it, it's only a few bucks.

Annoying as heck... music, if you can call it music, makes me feel like I'm at a looney house. The graphics remind me of kiddie programs my little ones like to watch. They like the graphics, but the game is too hard for them. It's too easy to drop off from the sides of the platforms and then you have to "run" back quite a long way. By "run" I mean the creature is darn slow. At the first level, I spent about 15mins extra to run back from the end of the level, since I missed one tear along the way. They are pretty hard to find at times, since I couldn't find a way to change the camera angle playing with keyboard. Therefor it's hard to know when to slap the foes, since it's hard to see when you're near them. If someone did this in a week or so, congrats, nice work, but it's not something I'm going to play after that frustrating first level.

I got this as a free steam key ages ago. I didn't care about the game to be honest considering it was given out as a free key all the time, I thought it was a really rejected game so I just idled the cards. Now that I've decided to play it, considering the graphics do look very nice and cute with it's vibrant colours XD

The game's objective is very simple, you collect raindrops to finish the levels. In addition you collect berries amongst the way. There are enemies, you kill them but however no points or whatsoever is gained. Get hit and you respawn either at the start or at some point you've reach. That's basically it if you ask me. So overall, the game is VERY easy. Though, I'd say it requires some patience particularly when you're jumping from one spot to another lol.

Achievements are really easy but as said, this game requires some patience so it may take time to get some of the achievements such as 3000 berries.... Unless you're very quick at collecting them. The graphics I really nice. It's simple, vibrant and looks very fun to attract the eye. The soundtrack is pleasant and soothing to listen while playing.

Do I recommended this game? Yes, it may be worth the full price depending how long you spend finishing it considering the $1 = 1 hour of gameplay rule. If you're someone who got this for really cheap or a steam key like me. This game is something you would play when bored/have time to kill.

So keep calm and COLLECT THEM BERRIES O____O

Woodle Tree Adventures is a charming 3D platformer ruined by the inability to manually rotate the camera or consistently change the angle of the camera, making platforming at times excruciatingly tedious because you just can't tell exactly where you're going to land.

Woodle doesn't just fall down on the platforming (haha), the sound effects are also incredibly lacking, and the music doesn't seem very fitting. While it might be a cliche, arcadey sound effects and chiptune style music would have been much more appropriate and would have gone a long way to improving the experience. At least it looked nice, though simple, in a Nintendoesque sort of way; it just doesn't have anywhere near the same polish you would find on a Nintendo title.

Even at the low price Woodle has gone on sale for (sometimes even free) I couldn't recommend it. Woodle has something special about it, and I felt compelled to play it all the way through, but whatever redeeming qualities I was hoping to find totally escaped me. Maybe Woodle 2 will have improved upon the areas in which Woodle 1 is so sorely lacking.

3 out of 10. Did not get wood(le).

I suppose you might be able to get away with plopping a young child in front of Woodle Tree Adventures, as a brief distraction. However, if you're a fan of early 3D platformers and looking for something to "scratch that itch," it's not worth your time.

It's not that the game isn't without a certain charm. The art style is very primitive, but the character and enemy design is cute, although not consistent. The music isn't professionally composed or mixed at all, but it works for a relaxing backdrop as some bizarre form of outsider art.

What plagues Woodle Tree Adventures is that it just doesn't feel like a finished game.

The most glaring issue is the camera. While you can zoom in and out (forever, it would seem), and the game occaisionally changes the camera angle without warning, the camera is essentially fixed. The game's levels, however, are designed for three-dimensional travel. I frequently fell off the map or ran into an enemy and had to start over because I lacked the depth perception needed to properly navigate. One level became completely unplayable because the camera glitched out; I had to restart the game to continue.

While there is some environmental variation between game's 9 or so levels, level design is incredibly sloppy. There's no rhyme or reason where elements are placed. If you zoom out far enough, you'll see evidence of leftover assets just floating in space.

There are occaisional graphical glitches, like engine physics going haywire or textures flickering. The game's menus and interface are just plain unprofessional looking.

The game takes a little over an hour to complete. Other than collecting the three required water droplets needed to complete a level, you can also collect berries to buy "upgrades." The first uprade gives you a projectile attack, but subsequent upgrades just change the attack color. The highest upgrade gives the character a bandana, which doesn't seem to actually do anything.

I played through with an Xbox 360 gamepad and it worked fine; I imagine that a keyboard would make the bad camera even less tolerable.

Don't spend your time or money on this game. The sequel might be better, but I can't be bothered to check it out myself.

It's an evil, cruel world out there, and "Woodle Tree Adventures" opened my eyes to the reality of it all. You are born into a life of crime. From the day you are born, you are running around collecting debts owed to the family, being fruit, of course. If they can't pay up, then their tears will suffice. Sometimes you have to use force, because sometimes they fight back. Your only weapon is a leaf, but I swear I have yet to see a leaf capable of so much pain and destruction in all my years as this one, and I've seen a lot of leaves, my house has windows. All it takes is one fell swoop and any retaliator or rebel is vanquished. Sometimes innocent lives are lost as well, caught in the crossfire, however some live to complain and tell the tale and must be taken care of later. Their deaths are most tragic and graphic; they fall backwards as a sign of submission, then right after they give a little "squee" they burst into white flakes, completely vanishing from existance. Families will forever be torn apart, populations drastically affected by the murders, but you remain unphased. This is what you were meant to do, and you do it with a smile. I value the time I've spent playing "Woodle Tree Adventures", as it has shown me a side of this world that I would have never seen outside of my bubble. It not only immerses us in the hard life of crime, but has an underlying message of love for one's family and how far people or small tree creatures will go to do what is best for the family.
