Why Early Access?

“Because this was a project made for our senior thesis project with our University, there are some components that we didn't fully develop for the scope of our project that we would like to add for a finished and comprehensive gaming experience. We plan on taking in feedback from early access users and beta testers to improve our game. Through this feedback we will be able to make the game more user friendly and optimized. Our commitment is to deliver a fully content complete and polished game, which includes a new multiplayer system that allows for wide area network connection, as well as continually add features to enhance the user experience of the game, including ways for the user to enjoy the game as a solo player.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect our game will be in early access till around July 5th, 2024 while we continue to develop and fully flesh out the remaining areas of our game through May and into early July.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to add improved multiplayer capability, better game stability, minor game balancing, more player responsiveness to help improve player feel, and maybe even add some new characters, abilities, and game modes. After these features have been implemented we would like to try and create a single player mode to play against an AI bot.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Our game currently has a fully playable game loop as well as a complete LAN multiplayer system, so players can boot up and play a game or games with a nearby friend from start to finish with minimal bugs or interruptions. This includes the full draft phases, placement phases, and gameplay loops. We also have a comprehensive tutorial system to help new users learn the base gameplay.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features, since certain game features will require extra cost, such as wide area network multiplayer.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The community will have an opportunity to voice what additional features they would like to be added to the game. Since we want our game to be as feature-rich as possible and as enjoyable for the player as possible, we really want to prioritize the wants and needs of our community and player base in the final stages of development between our early access release and our final game release.
