+ Original idea
+ Plenty of puzzles
+ Both tense and relaxing

- If you're too focused on the puzzle you sometimes don't notice the zombies (approaching)
- Jigsaw puzzles sometimes a bit too small, or don't have enough useful graphics on them

The Jigsaw Puzzle part is similar to PixelPuzzles: Japan.
Because of the topic Zombies they incorporated some action elements like survive zombie waves in the below screen and build baricades. That is not nice. Another gimmick is the zombi survival game in the main menu which is quite nasty. Especially too kill 5k zombies in 100 min for an achievement.
I enjoyed more PixelPuzzles: Japan.

Nice puzzles but have to admit the moving pieces drove me kind of nuts. Oh, and if you are going for all achievments be warned killing 5000 menu zombies took a mind-numbing 100 mins. recommended for hard-core puzzle lovers and achievement addicts.

Pixel Puzzles: UndeadZ (why the Z? ugh) is basically a jigsaw puzzle videogame. I'm not too familiar with the genre so I don't know where this title stands in the great pantheon, but it's a solid way to kill a few hours.

This game is basically divided into three modes. There's the jigsaw puzzles, there's survival jigsaw, and menu zombies. Survival Jigsaw adds an element of danger. While you're trying to put together the puzzle, you also have to fight off the occasional zombie. There's a clock and when time is up a minor horde will attack. You earn cash via completing pieces of the puzzle, which can be spent on defenses, or to view the full picture. You also control some guy who can shoot or throw grenades at the zombies. It's a cute idea I suppose, but I'd rather focus on the puzzle itself.

Menu Zombies is an overhead shooter, that takes place on the main menu. It's basically a gimmick-mode, since you can best it simply by standing still and throwing infinite grenades at everything. There are achievements for killing 5,000 menu-zombies and staying alive for an hour. I spent 15 minutes in this mode, which is still far far far too much time.

Like I said, I don't own any other videogame puzzle...games(?) so I can't judge the overall quality of this title compared to others. I do however love me some jigsaw puzzles, and the convenience of not cluttering up a coffee or dining room table is a nice bonus.

For a "throwaway" indie bundle title, this ain't bad.

Put virtual jigsaw puzzles together while blasting zombies. The artwork is nice and it gets pretty tough as the pieces get smaller. Also has a casual mode for a less intense experience.

A zombie puzzle completion game with a twist - putting the puzzle together under attack!

If you played PP: Japan then this one, you will be surprised, like I was. I appreciate the minigames within the puzzler, but admittedly prefer the zenlike PP:Japan game more. That said, they provide a non-survival option so you can just do the puzzles, but to get all the achievements, prepare to 'nade 'zoms in puzzles (a little bit) and in the minigame - ALOT (think - carpal tunnel if you are my age (40+))

A jigsaw puzzle game for when you're wanting more of a challenge.

This game is similar to Pixel Puzzles: Japan except with zombies.
As you work on the puzzle, you're given Z points (a type of currency) for placing pieces.
Use these points to buy bullets, grenades and increase your fortification.

Can you finish the puzzle before a horde of zeds eat your spleen?
It's still a casual game but offers more challenge than 'Pixel Puzzles: Japan'

Also there's a top-down mini-game in the menu system that adds a little bonus game play.

Really challenging puzzle game. And literally a puzzle game. With your little puppet hiding behind the defenses to complete the puzzle in time and a fun mainscreen game. Also, it features a way to turn those zombies off if they get on your nerves =D

Whats the last thing you want to do while sorting out a jigsaw puzzle?

Well I think this game has answered that question quite well.

Things I dont want while solving a jigsaw:

1: A time limit.
2: killing zombies.
3: sorting out how to spend the random money i get.

If you like relaxing while you complete your jigsaw this IS NOT the game for you.

Dont continue reading if you dont care about cards:

This game sucks if you like colllecting badges:

some cards are still over $2!
there are 12 cards... realy? for such an unpopular game you make us get 12??

To be clear, its costs more to make a badge then it did to buy.

Pixel Puzzles: UndeadZ is a jigsaw puzzle game with the distraction of fending off zombies. Instead of explaining what the heck a jigsaw puzzle is, I'm going to say what you need to know if you intend to play it right.

Play it with a big screen, and with a little more brightness than you find necessary. If your screen is smaller than 19", you're going to have a hard time with the size of the puzzle pieces in the later puzzles. Also, a lot of puzzles are dark, which becomes a pain in the butt when you are matching various colors of darkness.

You can turn off the distracting zombies when solving puzzles. The button to do so is to the right of the "Go" button.

The menu mini game gives you infinite grenades, and can be thrown with the RMB. This is how you get those pain in the butt survival achievements.

To use power ups, such as the extra wall or the trip mine, you need to click and drag with the LMB to place them. If you don't place them, you still pay for them, even though they don't get used.

Expect each puzzle to take a long time (30min to +120min), and there is no 'save and quit' function to pause in the middle of a puzzle. You can pause the game with the ESC key, but make sure to plan your games in advance.

I do recommend it to those diehard puzzle game fans (like myself), but this game definitely isn't for everyone. If the game could be paused and saved for later, I would say it would be a casual game. Play it when you have a lot of time on your hands.

Do you like simple, relaxing jigsaw puzzles? This game does offer that; but the real fun is in the stressful, tower defense mode...yes...Tower Defense in a jigsaw puzzle! Quickly place pieces onto the board while thwarting oncoming zombies. Use ingame currency to purchase ammo and powerups, lest the undead gobble up your game session.

Very good game. Worth the money, nice arts. You can quit those zombies if you want to concentrate on the jigsaw. Menu zombie shooter, jigsaw shooter. Very cool. Buying the Japan edition.

The artwork is cheesy/cilche, the game mechanics are boring and repetitive, and I feel it would have been better just to have puzzles without the zombie "fighting" aspects, but I probably wouldn't have paid money for that. :(

Pixel Puzzles: UndeadZ is a pretty unspectacular game that tries to mash together two concepts without having either work especially well. The mouse controls feel a bit clunky for the puzzle portion, and the shooter portion is pretty boring and has very unresponsive controls. It was an interesting idea, but all in all it doesn't pay off.

The game is fun but also frustating on the same time.
Music is very very repeative and it never change. Which is very frustating and give me a headache.
Puzzle pieces moves and goes over a different puzzle piece, which makes it very difficult to pick it up.
If you try to pick a puzzle piece there is a high chance that you pick a different one instead.
Only reason that this is time consuming is because you can not pickup the correct puzzle piece.
Also you can just pickup a Puzzle piece and place it on the field and it might be "Correct", Even if it is impossible to know where the puzzle piece has to be and even when ur entire field is empty.
You can kill zombies during puzzle mode which is easy but time consuming. You can also kill zombies in main menu which is borderlines useles. IF YOU PLAY WITHOUT ZOMBIES DURING PUZZLE MODE.
You can keep pressing on the "Results" to see where every puzzle piece has to be. You can use this unlimited time.
WHICH REALLY BREAKS THE GAME.

I do not recommend this game at all.
