"Now in English, one of the pinnacles of doujin fighting games. The 2D graphics and animations still rival the big names out there."

It´s a fighting game consisting in battle with 1 VS 1 but with the help of other support character.

The fighters are anime appeals (all of them girls)
Everyone single one has their own moves and types of attack.

In the first time. For sure you need to change the keyboard controls on the option menu because they are really uncomfortable to play with.

There are 10 fighters (plus one of a "DLC") with 4 support characters

And a free dlc of fanservice xd

The good:

Gamepad allowed +

The challenge is there +

It´s make it´s objective of being fun +

Original japanase voices +

The bad:

No online -

Very fews game modes (the story mode and a versus against other human player) -

It´s not windowed completely -

As with other 2D fighting games, there are many combos and different strategies for winning. Pulling off combos is actually quite difficult in Vanguard Princess. One thing the game lacks is online multiplayer, which kinda sucks. Aside from that, the game has cute characters, colorful background environments, and also a decent soundtrack.

This is a very smooth 2D fighting game with a very short and straightforward intro, despite the fact that all characters are anime stereotypes and sort of degenerates women in general a little bit, well, recipe for success in the gaming industry. The manual is a mess, it refers some sort of primitive dualshock which uses ABXY, if you want to get the most out of this game I strongly recommend having a controller, so you can play the game the way it was designed to be played, but you can configure the keyboard controls as well.

Bottom line, is it worth the full price? I don't think so, but you should definitely grab it when it's on sale or in a bundle.

The Good:
-Solid mechanics that make this a better fighting game than most.
-Nice pixel animation.
-Diverse character playstyles that make everyone in the cast feel unique.

The Bad:
-Worst control options ever means you'll plug in a controller rather than trying to figure out how to get your arcade stick to work right.
-Very few modes.
-No screen resolution options means you're playing this in whatever aspect ratio the game decides for you. And it will be low.

The Huh?:
-Busties
-Underooroos
-Character designs are par with the highest quality fan service animes available. You decide if this is good or bad.
-Card support allows you to show the world how shameless you are about putting these things on your public profile.

Rating: Bursting with personality / 10.
