[DoF is a work in progress so wether it has changed much I dont know.]
DoF is a massively multiplayer online real-time-strategy set in a medieval high fantasy setting with additional: singleplayer campaign, castle wars and a scenario editor. Its a Greenlit title so as you can imagine its looks great on paper but in the game is another thing all together.
There is alot to like but much more to dislike about DoF its not a finished game but a work still in progress. I personally liked this games setting; the visuals, sound effects (humorous), music, and just that feeling as if I was playing something new. But its last-ability for anyone other than a hardcore fan is about 2 days. The on-line mode is a nice option but the pace is slower than a peasant with no pickaxe. The gameplay feels limited and unresponsive. The steep learning curve encountered when navigating the UI takes up a lot of your time and is visually a bit of a mess and there is no tutorial on how to use it. That said the basic tutorials that are there are excellent.
Overall DoF's glimmer of another world falls short due to poor usability and lack of gameplay. Dawn of Fantasy is... missing its horizon.
