Fantastic kart/arcade racer! I bought it on a whim during the Steam Summer Sale and almost immediately became hooked. The way the courses evolve and incorporate the 3 different vehicle types blew my mind the first time I played each, and the controls and gameplay are top-notch in my opinion. Beyond that, having put in 300+ hours, I still have so much to learn to maximize my speed on each track - all the tricks and techniques one can employ to maximize boosts is incredible! On top of all that, there is still an active community for this game that, while not the largest, has been so amazingly helpful and friendly! Only downside is that one does tend to experience a number of network error disconnections while playing online, but usually one can just rejoin the lobby for the next race by simply restarting the game and entering the lobby again.

Tl;dr: If you enjoy kart/arcade racers at all, I highly recommend this game!

This game wasn't supposed to be good.

It's supposed to be a crappy Mario Kart rip-off with the Sonic IP lazily slapped on it. It's supposed to be a second-rate Kart Racer that you bought for two bucks because you were drinking too much and thought that buying ironic Kart Racers was hilarious.

What's actually here though is polished, well-presented experience. The game is fun! It controls well! The levels are great and I'll be damned if I didn't have a great time playing it with my friends!

Gameplay:
Sonic All-stars Racing Transformed or for short SART takes clearly alot of inspiration from Mario Kart. But if you compare those 2 games together you can see the difference between them. While mario Kart is more of a party game (luck-based) , SART is a skill based game ( very rewarding if you perfect your driving skills ). So, all in all this is everything that you have to know about it. If you are looking for a skill based fun racer, then this is the ONLY game that gives you this experience. BUT on the contrary side it has tons of bugs and glitches. Which can mess around with you. But if you can deal with those bugs then you will have an amazing experience. But if you are looking for a more luck based / party game, better go with Mario Kart if you own any Nintendo console.
