Hi it's Mininight From Alexina Server Here.

This is My personal Review on Mabinogi.

First things first, I Am An Old, Player, Not the kind that afk, leave game open. I can usually be on most days of the week, But enough about me, this is about the game.

This game Used to really give you the sense of Adventure, and exploring the continents, without so many moon gates and the moon gate book, It used to let everyone explore, you used to be able to be with friendly groups of people to hangout with and do things in the game with, that aren't trolls, scammers. and worse Them Alts... etc. But now it's kinda full of them. You also used to get the feeling of achieving something good. That is gone now to.

I don't like how every begginer player gets recomended to do ninja talent. That is unbelievably grindy, and ive done it. Will make you want to quit, For awhile. or forever.

But i do like the reset feature benefit, But i think it needs to be explained more, To new players, So you can learn how to exactly train each skill and talent. Also Explain how to get ap from it, its a very useful feature, alot of people ignore, and don't know of it.

This Game has so much Potential. But i don't like how its all going down the drain.

The Market is really crazy, also can be very hard. If it's crafting or selling mats, all im going to say is that its super grindy and when you sell the stuff and or gear, People are willingly to buy it in bulk and under valued... So your kinda better off crafting for yourself or for your friends..

Life skills are very Grindy and need to be updated badly. Same with obtaining some materials easier like fine finest leathers. Increasing the fishing list and have a fishing contest mini game. some other stuff to.

The guild system has been alright, But that need to be updated to, especially the guild features Like The guild hall, should atleast be able to decorate it. Also the Guild robe. The Guild pvp has potential. At the moment not that good.

pvp about pvp, It needs to be balanced properly, Also the pvp currently is kinda bad because its full of stunlocking, to me that's super cheap and boring...

Commercing, I used to like commercing but i tend to get a dismounting/ mounting problem. Commercing can be fun and worth it, if the commerce shop gets updated, Bounty hunting can be fun. Rafting i used to enjoy rafting, But that honestly needs to be updated and it's really displacement buggy. Same with the rafting shop id like to see some better stuff in there.

The current way of the Spirit Weapon System is Built it, ehh, Really not worth it, can take years to get the gems and powders and so much money to level one up Also maintain it's dura. Also Needs to Be updated. Like adding the rest of the weapons to the list.

Repair rate I honestly think it should stay and be at 100% without having your item, losing max dura, because it'd cost so much to get the dura back up. That and upgrading enchanting and reforging an item is so costly, Nobody really deserves it being not useable. Because of dura.

Shadow missions can be fun, But the end chests need new and better stuff. Would like to see new bosses, etc in them. Also new shadow missions. As for shadow crystals, People way overprice those now.

The raids are fun. But all the other raids, other than girgashy and the black/white dragon, I think those need better drops. Girgashy raids though, when it comes to that, Most of the people i notice that do those, are really strict Unhelpful unfriendly elitists. They can be very troll like and rude, But the community and people in the game, should hang in there and try to help eachother out for there experiences to be better.

Elves and giants.

Now about both sides. The players can have alot of racism between the two.
Elves and Giants i admit they barely. Even Get anything good. Humans Practically get everything. Elves need Better archer skills. Also A melee talent and better magic for themselfs. Giants. I think should be able to duel wield all one handed melee weapons, not just swords and blunts. Idk why but you cant duel wield blunts as human same with axes, But with swords you can. Im not sure if you can with giants though. But im kinda doubting it. Humans also get alot of towns to themselfs, where as elves and giants just get one. Uladh could use some real good field bosses to though. Tory ravine, hasn't been unlocked yet.

I kind of like how they changed the dungeons. The rewards and stuff to.

The event's are mostly Afk events so you can make alot of gold selling the stuff from those. Some of the event's can be fun to.

The Premium Service and VIP Service are outdated. Only good for housing.

The thing is though, The game currently Makes me feel like You have to pay to do something good, and worth doing. It's currently Building up more and more. But not into something worth doing. Like sure its free to play, but it does feel like it's turning into a really bad free to pay, to regret it afterwards aswell.

So that's it. That's my review It's really upto you and your preferances for your likings to the game.

If anyone needs help with the game just note me ingame. Sorry for my bad grammar though.

My first impressions of Mabinogi.

Okay, so when I was like eight years old, I had a best friend who was dying to see me play this game. I really wanted to play it too, but because I could never get past setting up my account, I never played it. At thirteen, I finally got into the game for the first time. It was confusing as all hell. I couldn't figure out the battle system. I had no idea what I was doing or where to go. Didn't even get past the tutorial.
I just revisited the game for the first time yesterday. Thankfully, I had some friends over Skype attempting to help me out. Needless to say, they weren't much help at all.
The battle system still trips me up. I feel like everything is all the over the place. I have no idea what the rebirth mechanic is even for. Battling and leveling up is absolute hell for me. The fact that you have to grind and grind and grind to get ANYTHING done is painstakingly obnoxious. I honestly cannot believe that I have to wait for someone to revive me if I wanna continue playing after my character dies. And, best of all... I have to pay actual money if I want my character to look the way I want her to? Come on.

Maybe I'm just too quick to judge. Maybe I just need more time to sink my teeth into the world. But ultimately, I would not recommend this game to anyone I know. I know plenty of people who love MMO's and anime style games, but since this game has always left a bad taste in my mouth, I can't see myself willingly attempting to show someone this game.
These are my first impressions of actual gameplay. I'm not that impressed, and honestly, I'm a bit annoyed. I will continue trying to figure it out, but this is where I stand with the game right now. Perhaps I can get some tips from more experienced players?

Game's beautiful. It has that simplistic art style and gameplay feel that ages very well. The community is old. A lot of stuff is in there and because it's Free to Play, there are microtransactions in the form of various prepaid currencies. Most of it is vanity-related stuff, though. So nothing to get too angry about.

I have a bit of a bias towards the game because I've known about it for so long and played it for a good number of years. I'm also a smelly weeaboo who enjoys this type of thing mostly because of the art style and lovable characters. So take that as you will.

Tried to coop with my friend in a dungeon, and I realized I needed to make a dungeon party instead of a normal party which was even harder to figure out how to set up. The combat system was boring and slow, and the tutorial was awful to go threw I give this a game a 3/10.

The game is pretty good but the set up is a mess. Every time I try to log in it says the app is already running, and I can't play until I restart steam or my computer. This is insane since my friend and I just wanted to play a game together and they're having worse problems than me.

I've been playing this MMO on-again-off-again for a very long time. I know my Steam hours don't show it, but back in the days of using Xfire I had over 2,000+ hours devoted to the game. I first started playing in 2008, around the release of G2. This is back when the game was still basically pay-to-play if you wanted to do any of the main storyline quests. These were the "good ol' days" that any veteran players will probably be referring to. Back in those years, we didn't have mounts, you had to pay to rebirth at all(no freebies), the game was just in general harder to move your way up. You needed real strategies to pull off defeating dungeons. There wasn't much of a classification between who was a poor noob and who was powerful because pretty much everyone was in a similar boat and there was a definite sense of community. (I made friends in those years that I still talk to on the regular and game with to this day.)

Now that that whole memorial shpiel is over, I still love this game but ♥♥♥♥ what the Hell happened to it. Serious. This was a great game and you pooped all over it. The combat went from actually having to use strategies to "if I spend enough irl monies I can defeat anything hahahahahhah."

The storylines are still pretty decent though?

I still play this game and I've spent a lot of time and money on it. I will still probably be playing Mabinogi until it runs itself into the ground. Honestly, I don't recommend this but it is a game worth at least testing the waters in and seeing if you care for it at all.

I've played this for to long and I suck at writing reviews on games.

The good:
-It's F2P but P2W if you have over 1k to drop but I've never seen someone do that.
-It'll run on potatos and toaster oven computers, You could probably make some ham with how well it runs.
-It came along way back when I use to play it as a kid it has weeky (Daily for newbies) rebirths not how it use to be when you had to wait till you were 18 IG.
-Story is good I heard (I never cared for it and only read some)
-Combat is pretty simple (Can be good to others bad for some but I like it)
-A LOT of events it's pretty rare for there not to be some kind of event going on in mabinogi.
-Guilds/Community make the game overall a better experience. (It kept me playing for 3.5k hours rip.)

The bad:
-Some people in the game can be mean like most other MMO's out there
-Market can be... Weird with pricing.
-None (To most) of the older clothing in the game has been redone and reworked still having that good o' knife level edges and low resolution textures.
-The free hairs just suck.
-Mods aren't allowed that make the game run better, however, I do understand why it's not allowed.

The ugly:
- It's old and the game is **** tier optimized. Not as bad as some games though.
-Nothing to really do when you've done everything there is do go do in this game other then to grind for the next nice looking outfit.
-Raids need to be improved for dragon raid. (Lower level and higher end.)

Wonderful! It may not have the best layout or graphics, but it makes up for it in the amount of content and story it has.

A comfortable RPG for those that want to wander around and play a role without essentially needing to grind. If you've ever wanted to be a musical magic hobo then THIS is probabyl the best game for you. Also it's free, so just ♥♥♥♥ing try it. You would need to be playing on a literal toster to not be able to.

This game was excellent 7 years ago or so. It was enjoyable, simple, it was actually a game. And as it grew and as time went on it really went down hill and they made it too easy. This used to be a game I was guaranteed to enjoy and could always come back to and have fun. Now though I'm really disappointed. It used to be a unique fantasy game, but now it's just...I don't even know. There are random non fantasy elements in here that really make me question where this game is headed other than the MMO graveyard. Why the hell are there motor scooters, electric guitars, and guns in a fantasy MMO? Someone please answer that? And when the hell did it become a P2W? I remember back when the only thing you could buy were dyes for armor and clothing. Now you can buy almost anything. WTF?! I trusted you, Mabi! You've really let me down.
