About This Content

The Special Edition Extras for Gunpoint include:
  • The Soundtrack: Includes all of the game's noir-inspired spy music in high quality MP3 format.
  • Developer Commentary: When enabled, you'll find little sprites of Gunpoint's developers on every mission. Talk to us to hear a little about our thinking behind the design (Tom), the art (John), and the music (Ryan).
Caution: shooting a developer while he's talking ends his current commentary track. This kills the developer.

2 items are included in this pack:

-Original soundtrack of the game
-Developer commentary game mode via options menu

Soundtrack:
-As it sounds. The soundtrack. Formatted in MP3 files @256kbps

Developer Commentary:
-Fun little audio snippets from the devlopers regarding game elements as they
are encountered.
-This mode is played by enabling it in the options menu. The game will now
play as normal, but throughout the levels you find characters representing
the developers who can be talked to, activating their recorded commentary audio clips.

This DLC pack is solely for fans.
If you didn't enjoy the game this won't add value for you.

Did you enjoy the soundtrack? Here it is.
Like some dvd movies though, its fun to hear the thoughts of the creators, but is it neccessary?

It is somewhat relaxing to listen to the developers while you play around in the levels now that you've
completed them, but its definetly not a big deal. There are a little bit of "thought process" bits as you
would expect, but it doesn't add a lot to the experience.

Overall for this pack, the value item is the soundtrack.
The commentary would just be an add-on.
Could be interesting, could be not.
Don't make it your only reason unless you are one who must always
watch/listen to extra features.

Very pricy, it's the same price as the damned game! Overall, it's pretty good, the tracks are jazzy and easy to get lost in with their crosslink versions being dystopia movie synth music, the commentary is nice, if you like that sort of thing but just remember, buy it on a sale.

The Special Edition Extras for Gunpoint contain developer commentary for the game that you can listen to by playing a commentary mode and interacting with the developers as they appear in the game's levels. But the main attraction is the game's soundtrack, which is excellent:

Specs for Gunpoint Soundtrack:

* Format: MP3
* Soundtrack length: 18m 39s
* Total size: 72.3 MB (including album art)
* 44100 Hz sample rate
* 128 kpbs bitrate
* Stereo

Steam downloads game soundtracks to a separate folder in your game's Steamapps directory. You can right-click on a game in your Steam Library, select Properties>Local Files and click Browse Local Files to access that game's directory. You can also listen to the commentary this way (it's in OGG format).

I'd recommend this for fans and music lovers, but wait for a sale. It is rather expensive for what it is.
