Why Early Access?

“The game is currently not fully completed. All of the main functionality is implemented, but we plan to expand on it and add more as time progresses. We want to give our player base a chance to test out the game and give feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“This game will be in early access for around a year before we decide to release the full version at the end of the roadmap.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have a lot more survival content, as well as more entities. It will contain a full storyline and a beatable main game with infinite survival gameplay as well. Loads of levels, multiplayer, and an overall extremely in depth backrooms experience from all angles.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently is not fully beatable, as it is a survival game there is an infinite amount of playability. It includes crafting, infinite world generation, an in depth player health system, and (WIP) a building system.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will be the same price after early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community by allowing them to submit ideas in our discord server. Votes on new features, as well as giving early images of new features!”

About This Game

Welcome To The Backrooms


The halls stretch onward into infinity, segmented by elevators, paths, and walls. You found yourself here after tumbling through your door. Whatever you were doing before, it is no consequence now. Explore your new surroundings, seek out the lost pages and words of those that came here before, or perhaps even after you. Craft a future for yourself in this place. Hope beyond hope that the noises you hear on the outside of your hastily constructed camp come from within your own mind. Survive the Backrooms, an infinite liminal space in which you are alone. Above all else, never lose your way, your mind, or your sense of self to the madness of your own senses.

  • THIS GAME IS CURRENTLY IN EARLY ACCESS AND WE WILL BE HAVING LOADS MORE UPDATES IN THE FUTURE.
  • In depth player health system including: Sanity, Thirst, Stamina, Heartrate, Enhanced Blood System, and Body Temperature.
  • Infinite, procedurally generated levels with fully random entity encounters. Sandbox open world.
