Why Early Access?

“The simple answer is because the game isnt ready yet. Currently I am only one person, which may change in the future so its slow and feedback can really help me to develop the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in early access for as long as it needs to be.
This may be 2+ years, but this is expected to change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Ruin is expected to have a new and vast world, full of many diverse zones and encounters, from crazy cultist clans to deadly wildlife. Along with a new world, you can expect new gameplay mechanics not currently found in the game:

• Settlement raiding
  
• Trading
  
• Diplomacy
  
• Weather effects
  
• Vehicles (“Carriages, boats, horses”)

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the game exists as a testing bed for current and future mechanics, to try to flesh them out to a more final state, you can expect this to change a bit. There is currently gameplay, where you can create your own settlement, harvest resources and try to destroy the ancient crystal plaguing Misery Island. Once the mechanics are in a final state, everything else will begin to receive major updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will slowly increase over time to coincide with new content being released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I would like for people to enjoy my game, and for them to give their own stories they had while in game and feedback and suggestions.
