Sobre este jogo

How evil can you get?
Discover how corruptible you are in Overlord, the twisted fantasy action adventure where you can be evil (or really evil). In the game's seriously warped fantasy world, players will become the Overlord and get first-hand experience of how absolute power corrupts absolutely. You could be a regular run-of-the-mill Overlord. However, with incredible power at your disposal and a team of evil-minded impish critters, the Minions, on hand to do your bidding, how will you resist the temptation to be wonderfully despotic?!
Go deeper into the Overlord's twisted world as the single-player expansion content opens a series of hellish new levels, each a supernatural abyss for the game's five kingdoms: Mellow Hills, Evernight, Heaven's Peak, the Golden Halls and the Ruborian Desert. Access to each abyss is via a portal, which opens once a kingdom has been successfully conquered and the previous ruler banished to a personal hell within. However it's not just the fallen heroes that have been dragged into the abyss: the Overlord's newly loyal peasants have also been taken down into hell too.
With the undead denizens of each abyss on the attack and threatening the Overlord's reign above ground, there's only one thing for it: assemble your minion army, descend into each abyss and embark on a fresh wave of tyranny in order to return the serfs to their homelands, defeat the fallen heroes once and for all, and claim the throne of each kingdom's underworld.
Come and have a go if your Overlord's hard enough. All new pillaging fun with seven additional online multiplayer maps, including the competitive ‘Capture the Maiden’ map and ‘Protect Your Power’, where players must defend the Overlord's tower against waves of enemy attack.
  • THINK EVIL, BREED EVIL, CONTROL ALL! Get in the action and become the Overlord, the all powerful dark lord with a horde of minions to command and a land to conquer.
  • CONTROL A HORDE OF MINIONS Slavish and loyal they'll smash, destroy, kill and steal anything for you. Your word is law.
  • BECOME THE OVERLORD Do you want fear, respect, gold and power? Become the most powerful being in the world by any means necessary.
  • CONQUER A TWISTED FANTASY WORLD Show the Seven Heroes, demonic Halflings, and Rabid Unicorns who's boss.

Evil always finds a way. Though the way may be affected by somewhat clunky controls, it manages to provide great amount of jokes that land and kinda unique gameplay. And Gnarl is always the best, even when he betrays you (Spoiler? How evil of me!).

Recommended: Does one sheep have the same number of brain cells as ten minions have, provided that one minion has exactly one?

This game is one that you will play once or twice and then a few years down the road think, "Huh, I remember that. I should play that again." Overall amazing gameplay, fun story line with a few choices if you want to make everyone beg for mercy or thank you for your gratitude... Definite Buy

This game is absolutely fantastic, The game is fun, the puzzles are challenging and full of delight, the minions are so charming and Gnarl is just so fun to listen to. The Overlord himself can either be a benevolent ruler, or a dark and corrupted master of evil. The gameplay is smooth and easy to handle, the controls are super easy to learn and get down. I can't give this game enough praise, the bad thing i have to say, is that the graphics But for me that doesn't take away from the experience! I like the oldish graphics, it gives the game more charm. The whacky and zany voices are so fun to listen to. I found myself talking like Gnarl and some of the peasants, i did enjoy the experience. The sound track is simple and catchy and alos, EPIC the tunes can go from cheery and chipper, to dark and gloomy. This game was a serious blast.THEN i bought Raising Hell and my mind was filled with wonder as i took on the task to delve into the depths of what is basically Hell. It was glorious. And you too can experience the glory! Buy Overlord and be sure to Buy Raising Hell! DO IT NOW!!!!!

I'll always love this game. One of my favorite of all time. I use to play it way back on the Xbox 360 before I got it on steam. Solid puzzles and hoard mechanic combat. Very Funny story, and solid characters. Gotta love a game where you can play as the bad guy too.

A sort of "Where are they now" 1.5 sequel that lets you see just how your old friends are doing as you once again trash your way through stage after stage.

The Overlord game is one terrific piece of work. Raising hell adds 5 new areas with puzzles and a boss fight, each dungeon rewards you with a unique equipment to craft.

Still, this game has everything. Humour, a well done script, morality choices made fun, mayhem, minions (not the yellow ones from tv), puzzles and so on. Each area of the game makes fun of the stereotypes of fantasy literature, movies or games in a sweet way all the time being narrated by the minion lord Gnarl. Also, the sqeaky voices of the minions are as warming as the purring of a kitten and you get to decorate your evil tower.

Realmente vale a pena.

A wonderful addition to the base game. Adds a little more story and more challenging. The puzzles do not change much, just get harder to solve. Totally worth it.

Overlord: Raising Hell

Overlord Raising Hell is an amazing game with lovable little minions. In the game you are the second overlord (after the first has left) and you must help your army of minions destroy the pitiful disgusting forces of good BLEH!

In overlord you start off with learning how to control a small group of minions. There are 4 different kind of minions you will find though the game. to summon a minions you need orbs of their specific colour which can be gained by killing enemies.

As you continue you will gain the ability to purchase items to improve your amazing dark tower and to improve yourself.

Throughout the game your goal is to become evils favourite son by commiting tasks such as killing villages, killing off elves etc. (good times i know) You will also have choices within the story which will help you reach your evil goal.

The minions here deserve their own perfect panel. Within the game as previously mentioned there are 4 different types of minions, each with ups and downs.

Brown - Can wear picked up items and is your basic unit

+easy to get orbs
+capable of wearing armour and picking up weapons

Green - Stealthy backstabbers who deal high damage

+ can turn invisible when guarding a location
+ back stabbing :D

Red - Ranged fireball chucking units

+ only ranged unit
+ chucks fire

- low health

Blue - Blue is the only type of minions that can revive other minions (if he gets to them in time) and is the only minion capable of traveling through water

+ can swin
+ can revive

- weak in combat

Raising Hell

As you can guess raising hell is in fact not the base game but rather a dlc that allows you to launch it (hence why i have 0 hours on overlord). In raising hell after you defeat an areas "hero" a gate will spawn which will send you to what seems like hell. You will see your former enemies being tortured and punished while you must go and get stones to control these amazing hell resorts. And after you shall face the true keeper of this hell-like realm whom i shall not name (because i have forgotten him) and you shall receive the true ending of overlord.

+ fun gameplay
+ fun little minions
+ minions pick up garbage for you
+ succubus
+ each area has a different feel and the storyline is fun
+ amazing ending

- may become a bit repetitive ( i got nothing else bad to say)

Final Throughts

For me Overlord Raising Hell has been an amazing game which I was able to truly embrace. I enjoyed every moment of gameplay along with the storyline. This game is one of my top picks and is truly a game you must try.

Final Rating 10/10

This is a review for the expansion: Raising Hell. For a review of the original Overlord, please reference my steam review at

Raising Hell's storyline takes place after the events in the original Overlord. Abyss Gates are spotted in each of the lands that you have previously explored and present a twisted, more hellish version of each area. The seven sins of hell come to mind when playing through these areas. Your goal is to go to each Abyss and take control of it. You will also find moulds in these zones to create new and interesting equipment.

The unique armor and weapons added in Raising Hell present new abilities that otherwise would not be available to you; however, the new equipment is woefully underpowered. If you already have a full set of upgraded Arcanium gear, you're better off ignoring these new items.

Although the expansion adds much appreciated content to an already outstanding game, it does little to nothing to fix the flaws of the original. Trying to control your minions to solve some of the new puzzles can be frustrating. In particular, there is one puzzle that you must sweep your minions left and right to mow a lawn. Don't complete it fast enough and you have to start over. Nothing tells you that you failed due to time so you could end up like me looking it up online to figure out what I am supposed to do. This happened about two or three times for me. Guidance isn't exactly clear on some of the puzzles.

If you enjoyed the original, this game will be well worth your money. If you are unsure of buying both Raising Hell and the original Overlord in one go, do not fret. Your saved game on Steam of the original will transfer over into the Steam expansion so you can enjoy the content at your leisure.
