While the game does feel a tad...disappointing, it's still worth getting as you learn how to use units in a different way. Most people here complain because they're far too used to the line-and-fire method generally used by thenormal factions in Empire: Total War. The problem with that is, you can't attack these heavily armed soldiers head on. This should be painfully obvious. You have to flank and sneak around. Imitate what the Native Americans did during this time period. The campaign has plenty of content and, although it seems to be lacking something that I can't quite put my finger on, it's well worth the fun and investment in getting.

Its a great DLC, especially on the hardest level.

It requires real tactical gameplay, which is why there are so many poor reviews. Unfortunately, too many people enjoy playing on easy and steamrolling through the game.

Well I saw some negative reviews on this game so I will give my review. I like this game. As a student of history and fan of Allen W. Eckert's books I liked this game. You are weaker than the European powers which is accurate. You need to use new tactics. I could tell you but I found it fun to figure them out on my own. I have won with every tribe but Huron and will play them next. I even lost with Peublo because I ran out of time. I enjoy the chance of loosing.

This is a nice little expansion to a good game ..
It adds a few new troops to control for each tribe, as others have said this requires new thinking and advanced strategy both on the map screen and on the battlefield.
I personally enjoyed it and if you own empire and like the idea of a seperate campaign with the native factions i would get it .

It's really not that great. The main campaign already included in the base game is better, and this dlc felt like it was rushed out by Creative Assembly just to make more money. I can't really complain, though; I got this for $0.28 during the total war weekend.

The Warpath Campaign. Some love it, others hate it. I personally highly recommend picking it up. It is a decent game and will provide you with tons of fun, provided you don't take it too seriously. It has a lot of faults, incuding random freeze-ups, lag, and an overall bad AI. But the Warpath campaign is not like the grand campaign. In the grand campaign, yuo could dominate the battlefield with a few untis of line-infantry and a couple of cavalry units. But in this campaign, there is none of that. Basically, all you've got are clubs and bows against muskets, cannons, and bayonets.
This handicap is what makes it so fun. You actually need to think out your strategy and use every advantage you have, because if you just charge forward with your infantry, you'll get gunned down and slaughtered to a man. You are forced to use guerilla tactics and make the most of your units.
As such, this DLC is highly worth it in my opinion, despite its numerous faults and defects. As long as you are relaxed and do not take it too seriously, this is the game for you.

I thought this campaign would have a different persepctive on the colonalisation of the Americas, yet I was besieged by a DLC that was undoubtably churrned out quickly in order to take the money of unsuspecting players.

If you want to play as one of the First Nations peoples or Native Americans I reccomend you put your $10 to better use and just play the land battle mode as one of them for free.

3 groups of tribesmen against 1regiment line of defence unit from spain = i lose since the tribesmen will run when they lose 30 men that unless you lucky enought to get the commander and hold the line for a min before your men run off

it first when you halv way thought all your reseach you would be able to get men that stand a chance
how ever, if you want to see 600+ men run off from 240 then by all means buy this.

Balance is non-existant in the Warpath expansion/DLC, do not waste your money on this lackluster excuse for an expansion.
