I worked a lot on the in-game UI. According to my testers, one of the biggest issues is early-game onboarding — the “how to use” phase.



So I added a tooltip that appears when an interactable object, like the shop or a tower, comes into range.

They say every student of Singoru Academy is not just a student, but also a guardian of its honor and traditions. Only the most worthy earn the right to wear the School Uniform — an elite outfit, symbolizing knowledge, diligence, and the trials overcome.

You can obtain the School Uniform set on the Market as a random reward from chests opened with Certificates of Distinction.

And don’t forget: if you collect and equip the full School Uniform set your hero will unlock a special ability! Once every 10 seconds, the hero throws a tome towards the cursor. On impact, it deals 600% damage and stuns enemies for 2 seconds.

In this second developer log, I'll go over some of the UI quality of life features for managing movement in Saratoga, as well as how the Cavalry and Indian withdrawal rules are implemented. Finally, we'll look at some of the quirks of zones of control in forest hexes.

Too long have Imps played second fiddle to Skeletons.  Too long have they remained fodder for invading hordes of Barbarians, ignored when raiding others, and merely an afterthought of placement in realms.  Now it is their time for balance!  Welcome to the Age of Imp-Unity!  We’ve made a number of balance updates to try to make Imps more valuable relative to their placement cost, along with numerous other tweaks to try to make a wider variety of strategies viable.  Divine Hammer damage radius has been significantly reduced, we have reduced ranged damage from projectiles and bombs, boosted some weaker structures, etc.  Age rewards will be based on kills from your named Imps, and we look forward to seeing how you use those Imps to create mayhem!

  • New Structure: Clear Skies (Anti-projectile defense)

  • Fix incomplete replay bug introduced in Age08

  • Fix zapping weapons as they’re being sheathed

  • Shorter cooldown on Caverns of the Unknown and Ring of Champions

I want to share some updates on the game’s development. I’ve been focusing on improving the game’s foundation so I can deliver smoother updates and more exciting features in the future. Here’s what’s new:

Codebase Improvements – The game’s code has been restructured to allow for a more flexible development process, making it easier to introduce new features.

Save System Overhaul – I’ve completely reworked the save system to make it more reliable and future-proof.

Preparing for Upcoming Features

  • The game now supports adding new product types in future updates.

  • Initial groundwork has been laid for a shop system, where players will eventually be able to purchase different types of stock.
