Greetings Sleepers, 

Join us on September 4th at 9AM PT/12PM ET/6PM CEST for a new livestream with the Dune: Awakening development team. 

To make it easier to stay up to date with our plans for the game, and to have regular community check-ins, we are introducing two types of live streams: 

Developer Update Livestreams (content focused) 

The upcoming stream on September X will be a Developer Update Livestream. This is where we present upcoming updates coming to the game, giving you a look at the content and gameplay ahead of time. 

We aim to hold these streams as early as we can, generally. This time, due to Gamescom, it will be held a bit closer to the update’s release. 

Sietch Talks (community focused) 

In these streams, we take the opportunity to discuss where the game is at, what we're working on improving and fixing, and what you can expect going forward. The Sietch Talk livestreams won't feature major content announcements, instead focusing primarily on community conversations.

Welcome!

Another devlog, more news! A new companion in Tarvos – a drone that fights by your side!



Our drone has just received its final texture version. It’s not a shiny gadget fresh from the factory – its surface shows signs of wear, as if it remembers abandoned laboratories and the weight of Tarvos’s industrial world. Thanks to this, it will not only blend into the dark atmosphere but also become a believable part of the environment. It’s equipment that players will encounter in the full version of the game.



The Drone as the Player’s Companion



But the drone’s usefulness doesn’t end with blending into the dark setting – from the very beginning, we planned for it to become an active companion. Hovering by the player, it will:

  • Lock onto enemies: instantly identifies threats and warns the player.
  • Provide fire support: opens fire, distracting opponents and giving you a moment to counterattack.



Imagine exploring ruined corridors as the drone quietly flashes its sensors, fires precise shots, and lets the player focus on survival and tactics – the drone becomes an ally and… a living part of the world.

What’s Next?

The next step is to adjust the AI to dynamic combat situations and test how the drone reacts to the chaos of battle – whether it truly helps or still needs fine-tuning so it doesn’t distract the player.

1. Fixed the issue where the attack button does not appear after the battle turn ends when a monster is killed by a Debuff.

2. Fixed the issue where the target is automatically switched when a non-current target monster is killed by area damage.

3. Fixed the issue where runes do not appear in the rune bag when obtaining orange-quality runes through synthesis.

4. Fixed the issue where the dice can still be clicked with a certain probability when an event is triggered.

5. Fixed the issue where weapon icons may be missing with a certain probability in the weapon system interface.

6. Fixed the issue where the additional damage of some runes is not taking effect.

Howdy y’all! Fall is here, the leaves are dropping, and so is a new patch! We’ve made a lot of tweaks and improvements based on your feedback over the summer. We appreciate the bug reports and comments, so keep ‘em coming.

  • Fixed memory leak that could cause crashes in longer play sessions, especially on Xbox Series platforms

  • Reworked how we render objects in the distance, allowing visibility for objects much further away

  • Changed the order of constructs in the build menu to be more intuitive

  • Increased the base speed of all tractor type transform modes by 40%

  • Transform Mode Movement Speed Mod Chip changed into Tractor Mode Movement Speed. It has a stronger effect but can only be applied to Tractor Type Transform Modes

    • Any existing Movement Speed chips equipped on Trailblazer modules will be automatically unequipped

  • Slightly decreased the effectiveness of Thruster Boost and Thruster Strength Mod Chips

  • All Tool Range and All Tool Speed Mod Chips can now be inserted into either Arms or Windshields (to increase build diversity)

Dear Players,

We sincerely apologize. Due to structural changes in this update, a small number of players may be unable to launch the game after patching.

If you encounter this issue, please follow these steps:

1. Fully close the game.

2. Navigate to

C:\\Users\\<YourUsername>\\Saved Games\\LostSoulAside\\Saved\\

and delete the "Config" folder.

3. Restart the game and allow the shaders to re-compile; normal play will resume.

We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience. The development team is working on further improvements to prevent similar problems in the future. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Into the Restless Ruins - Wales Interactive

Roguelites, deckbuilding & dungeon-crawling — if that’s your idea of home, then whaur’ve ye been hidin’? The ruins are calling and they aren’t going to explore themselves!

Today, we’ve pushed out a small update that tidies up a few bugs and optimisations behind the scenes — nothing dramatic, but enough to keep your dungeon runs smooth.

For anyone new to Into the Restless Ruins, here’s a quick refresher on what’s waiting for you in the depths:

  • Build the dungeon as you play: each card you draw shapes the labyrinth ahead, from traps and chambers to encounters.

  • Scottish folklore comes alive: face down eerie creatures inspired by tales of the Highlands, with bosses that test both strategy and luck.

  • A compendium to conquer: unlock and record 100+ cards, weapons, and cantrips to mix up your strategies on each new run.

  • Charm your fate: passive boosts and character interactions can change the course of your story — for better or worse.

If you missed the last content update, we added even more cards and quality-of-life tweaks that give you fresh strategies to experiment with. It’s all there in the current build, waiting to be discovered.

And just a heads-up: Into the Restless Ruins is currently 20% off until 6th September, so now’s a good time to start your descent.
