Kubeon - Osmoze

Many thanks to everyone. After the release of the Kubeon's demo, players pointed out some bad input behaviours. Everythings has been fixed and the Steamdeck compatibility has been checked (thanks to some people on Reddit).

  • D-PAD inputs has been added to the game

  • A and B buttons has been reversed to meet the largest number of controllers (every PS and XBOX controllers basically)

- A potion shop was added to the expeditions island entrance, next to C. Sparrow
- Added a boon for dungeon credits

CHANGES:
- Seeing other players on expeditions has been turned off by default (now including pets/wings and if you are in a party)
- Changed the error messages on active abilities from equipment to make it clear what's missing
- Greater Barrage, Fire Flash & Blizzard can now have 3 instances active at any given time, up from 2
- The popup in the isles is now more clear to indicate you've unlocked the next difficulty!
- Pressing escape on the island entry menu will now also teleport you backwards, so you don't get stuck anymore
- The Plaguebearer boss' first phase now goes twice as fast (Normal Mode)
- Perfect Shield will now shatter all crystals on the Plaguebearer fight
- Edmund will now provide some text-instructions for certain mechanics during the Plaguebearer fight
- You can now assist Edmund with smashing the crystal in phase 1 (Normal Mode)
- Small audio improvements implemented for overlapping noises
- You can now hit the dungeon chest to open it as well

FIXED:
- The broken nighttime has been removed from the expeditions
- Fixed a crash with gladiators spawning after the expedition is over
- Fixed a checkpoint issue with the new isles area when coming back from your home island
- Auto-pickup now properly affects ALL recipes instead of just the lower ones

Join us on September 4th at 9AM PT/12PM ET/6PM CEST for a new livestream with the Dune: Awakening development team. 

To make it easier to stay up to date with our plans for the game, and to have regular community check-ins, we are introducing two types of live streams: 

Developer Update Livestreams (content focused) 

The upcoming stream on September X will be a Developer Update Livestream. This is where we present upcoming updates coming to the game, giving you a look at the content and gameplay ahead of time. 

We aim to hold these streams as early as we can, generally. This time, due to Gamescom, it will be held a bit closer to the update’s release. 

Sietch Talks (community focused) 

In these streams, we take the opportunity to discuss where the game is at, what we're working on improving and fixing, and what you can expect going forward. The Sietch Talk livestreams won't feature major content announcements, instead focusing primarily on community conversations.

Tarvos Desolation - Ksajlu
Welcome!

Another devlog, more news! A new companion in Tarvos – a drone that fights by your side!



Our drone has just received its final texture version. It’s not a shiny gadget fresh from the factory – its surface shows signs of wear, as if it remembers abandoned laboratories and the weight of Tarvos’s industrial world. Thanks to this, it will not only blend into the dark atmosphere but also become a believable part of the environment. It’s equipment that players will encounter in the full version of the game.



The Drone as the Player’s Companion



But the drone’s usefulness doesn’t end with blending into the dark setting – from the very beginning, we planned for it to become an active companion. Hovering by the player, it will:

  • Lock onto enemies: instantly identifies threats and warns the player.
  • Provide fire support: opens fire, distracting opponents and giving you a moment to counterattack.



Imagine exploring ruined corridors as the drone quietly flashes its sensors, fires precise shots, and lets the player focus on survival and tactics – the drone becomes an ally and… a living part of the world.

What’s Next?

The next step is to adjust the AI to dynamic combat situations and test how the drone reacts to the chaos of battle – whether it truly helps or still needs fine-tuning so it doesn’t distract the player.

1. Fixed the issue where the attack button does not appear after the battle turn ends when a monster is killed by a Debuff.

2. Fixed the issue where the target is automatically switched when a non-current target monster is killed by area damage.

4. Fixed the issue where the dice can still be clicked with a certain probability when an event is triggered.

5. Fixed the issue where weapon icons may be missing with a certain probability in the weapon system interface.
