Today marks one year since Kiopioke was released and I have some news to share!

Since release I have been supporting the game with bug fixes and working on a lot of different game prototypes including Playconomy, Dream Shot, and one other unannounced game.

Dream shot is a multiplayer golf game that is inspired by Kirby's Dream Course. You can even build your own courses!

Kiopioke kept creeping into my thoughts, though. Recently I had a gameplay idea that I thought could work in Kiopioke, so I began exploring it. For the past few weeks I have been experimenting with the idea and creating the mechanics. Now the core mechanics are complete and I am happy to report that it feels great!

I think it has a place in Kiopioke sooooo,

I am pleased to announce that new free content is coming to Kiopioke!

The new content will focus on a new mechanic and will feature new levels, a new playable character, and a new adventure. You can expect it to be about the size of 2 zones.

I am currently in the "level design" phase of development. Once the levels are done there are graphics, music, sound effects, packaging, testing; the list is long but I want this development to be a quick as possible. It definitely won't take as long as the original release. I will update as I can and I can't wait for playtesting!

Finally, I want to thank everyone who has supported the game (and the music!). I am thankful for your feedback. I hope you are enjoying your summer.

Known Issues

We're actively working on more optimization fixes. We have managed to upload some fixes that make saves that we received (thank you for sending them to us) moving at 1fps to 15fps, but the fixes won't be perceived by players that play the game with large production lines. Thank you for baring with us, we'll keep you informed when we have more information to share!

Thank you for your enthusiastic support for PAGUI! Based on player feedback, we’ve released this update, featuring balance adjustments and bug fixes to optimize the combat experience and enhance game stability. Below are the detailed update notes:
Balance Adjustments
Crimson Bless Technique Adjustment: Swapped the operation methods of Crimson Bless’s Fire Surge and Flame Charge.
Rotpot Effect Adjustment: Changed Rotpot’s effect from Slow I to Slow II, while reducing the effective radius, reaction time, and increasing the cooldown.
Swap Effigy Adjustment: Increased Swap Effigy’s cooldown and reduced the Malevolent Qi gained upon triggering.
Shrine Restoration Visibility Adjustment: After repairing a Shrine with a Fate Tablet or talent, the repaired Shrine becomes visible in The Exorcists’ view.
Evil Taoist Priest Talent Adjustment: Reduced the time required for the Evil Taoist Priest’s talent Shrine Restoration from 45 seconds to 37 seconds.

PINEAPPLE: A Bittersweet Revenge - verdugo
Today, we’re launching our very first console game.

A simple sentence — but for us, it’s anything but simple.

It all started with a ridiculous story we found in a forgotten corner of the internet: a student getting back at the school bully… with pineapples. Literal pineapples.

It felt absurd, honest, and strangely perfect.
So we turned it into a video game.
Short, funny, and with something to say.

Today, that game is real.
And you can now play it in Spanish, English, French, German, and Catalan.

We’re not sure if this is an achievement, a miracle, or just a well-orchestrated coincidence.
But here it is.

And it makes us very, very happy.

Hey everyone!
It’s been over a month since our last public demo, and during that time, we’ve been hard at work digesting all the feedback you gave us. In particular, issues like the Bizarre Zone being too dark or the survival difficulty feeling a bit overwhelming were already mentioned in the last blog, and now we’ve made visible progress addressing them.
Meanwhile, development of new maps and content hasn’t slowed down either. So today we’re sharing a bit of everything we’ve been working on!

Bizarre Zone – Visual Overhaul
Previously, we noted how the distorted, psychedelic visuals of the Bizarre Zone were negatively impacting the player experience. To address this, we’ve reworked the area’s lighting and color grading to create a clearer, more comfortable visual atmosphere.

We increased the overall brightness in both the Bizarre Zone and nighttime scenes, and revamped the lighting: instead of having light sources illuminating a circular area, now all reachable areas are properly illuminated. Also, the player character now carries a torch by default, illuminating nearby areas. The visual distortion effect has been removed as well.
Check the new Bizarre Zone and let us know if it feels improved!


Survival Rebalance – More Guns
We've heard your feedback about the high survival pressure in the demo, especially with limited and underwhelming weapon options. Getting surrounded by hordes at night was frustrating for many. We've been thinking about how to balance the overall gameplay while still keeping the post-apocalyptic tension.

In line with the motto: “All fear comes from a lack of firepower”, we’ve decided to crank up the arsenal😂:
We buffed some melee weapons, improving their attack power and armor break, and added a few better melee options for early game. Most importantly, we’ve gone full arms dealer: over a dozen new firearms have been added, including the AWM, Barrett, and more. Pick your favorite!



New Area in Development - Snowfield
Stronger weapons mean new challenges! While the demo mostly showcased the Forest region, our full vision includes eight distinct biomes, each with unique terrain and enemy designs.
We’ve been pouring our creativity into the Snowfield, a classic survival game environment, with plenty of fresh content:
Common enemies like zombies in the Snowfield get new outfits (definitely unnecessary but did it anyway). New region-specific monsters are added, including Frost Insects, Corrupted Werewolves, and Giant White Bears. 


Since we noticed players in the demo loved raiding military bases, we’ve added various sizes of them to the Snowfield as well. Of course, expect resistances, there will be drones, turrets, and mechs guarding the loot.

  1. Disabled Movement & Ability Splashscreen at spawn to prevent rare softlocks at the first portal.

  2. Disabled Enigma Phase 2: Sword Sweep Attack, which could cause softlocks.

  3. Splashscreen toggle option is once again visible in the settings menu.

  4. Fixed: Subtitles now correctly display in both the intro and outro cutscenes.
