Optimization & Improvements

Hey everyone!

We have been working hard under the hood to make the game faster, smoother, and ready for the future.
We rewritten some parts of the game for better adaptation to the upcoming gameplay changes.

PERFORMANCE UPDATE

Upgraded to Unity 6
We’ have moved the game to Unity 6 for better performance, stability, and access to the latest features.

GPU Occlusion Culling
Enabling this feature will improve FPS for players with older gpus.

GPU Skinning
Character animations are now handled by the GPU reducing CPU load and making things run smoother even with lots of characters on screen.

DirectX 12 Support
Undead City now using DirectX 12 for improved multithreaded rendering. This helps the game to take advantage of modern CPUs and GPUs by splitting up graphics tasks.

These changes should give you a noticeable performance boost and prepare the game for future content and updates.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

Limb Dismemberment
Blow off limbs. Zombies now react more dynamically to where you hit them.

Wound Marks on Hit
Weapons now leave visible damage on zombies where you hit them.

Facial Animations
Zombies now has new facial animations.
Bloody Painter Dating Sim - 迪鹿DeluCat
Voice replay is now available! Additionally, two new language translations have been added.

3. Added French translation (Translation by Niyuuh & Choup).

Changes
  • Fixed bug with BlobFist slowly traveling away over time (hopefully solved)
  • Modified Blobfist to deal damage to multiple units if a punch would hit multiple enemies
  • Reduced BlobFist Base damage from 6 to 4 to account for the changed behaviour.
  • Modified UI to fit with widescreen resolutions.
  • Removed Tank enemy (will still be in final game)
  • Infinite scaling will start after wave 15 (only for the demo)
  • Modified Shield upgrade damage block value from 1 to 0.5
  • Tier 2 shild now have 1.5 base block instead of 2
  • Shield improvements damage block decreased from 1 to 0.5
  • tier 3 shield improvement now provided 1.5 damage block.

Greetings, Warlords!
We will conduct maintenance updates during the following time:
APAC: April 28, 13:00 - 18:00 (UTC+8).
EU/AMS: April 28, 6:00 - 11:00 (UTC+1).
The maintenance is expected to last for 5 hours. After the maintenance, we will distribute Bronze Coins *12000, Honor *500, and Unit Medal *25 as compensation. Warlords, please arrange your playtime accordingly.

I. System Adjustments & Optimizations
1. Ranked Battles
Weekly Settlement Reward Rules Optimization
 
Original Rule: Rewards were based on weekly victories. New Rule: Rewards will now be calculated based on the [Highest Season Rank] and [Weekly Victories].
 
New Ranked Battles Exchange Shop
A new Ranked Battles currency [Rank Bounty] has been added. It can be obtained by completing Ranked Battles.
The [Rank Shop] (located at the top right corner of the [J] - Ranked Battles interface) is now open. You can use [Rank Bounty] to exchange for valuable rewards, including Rank Boost Card, Rank Protection Card, Epic Hero Schematic Crate, Legendary Artillery Selection Box, Epic Artillery Selection Box, Epic Wisdom, Pure Wisdom, Treatise, and others.

 
2. System UI
[F5 Seasonal Unit] Interface
  When new seasonal units are available, a yellow tip-dot will appear if you are not on the current season challenges page.
[Inventory] and [Quests] Interface
  The inventory interface has been adjusted from a popup to a semi-fullscreen display; The quests interface has been adjusted from a popup to fullscreen.
 
3. New Novice Experience Adjustments - [Silla] Season New Server Test Launch
Novice Stage Optimization
  In response to feedback regarding an unsatisfactory novice experience and unclear tutorial content, we will launch a new version of the novice tutorial on the [Seorabeol] (APAC) and [Bulguksa] (EU/AMS) servers for testing after this maintenance.
  New warlords will experience a redesigned UI, more detailed weapon and unit control tutorials, and gain access to new scenes such as the Personal Tent.
  While in the Capital or World, players can return to their personal tent at any time using the [Return to Tent] button at the bottom right of the ESC menu.
  Upon reaching level 25, the character will seamlessly transition into the original growth path.
  This adjustment aims to provide a clearer and smoother early experience for all new warlords. You can provide feedback via [ESC] - [Help] - [Contact Support]. We welcome your valuable suggestions at any time!
 
4. Game Language Settings
  You can change the game language after entering the game. Here's how:
  [ESC] - [Settings] - [Language] to adjust the game language.
  This will only change the in-game language. If you set the language in-game, the startup page language setting will not take effect.
 
II. Other Bug Fixes and Optimizations
Fixed an issue where the [Hwarang - Fallen Petals] doctrines' effect duration for ammo recovery did not match the skill duration.
Fixed an incorrect rune buff display regarding the Maul rune [Typhon's Demise].
Fixed an issue where the allies' status bar did not show the buff icon when allies received a defense boost from the Longsword & Shield rune [Hippocrates' Oath].
Fixed a mismatch between the description and actual effect of the [Pious] status gained after using [Mercy of Heaven] by Longsword & Shield hero.
Fixed a mismatch between the description and effect of the vulnerable debuff applied by [Glaive]'s [Flying Reaper] on enemies.
Fixed a missing translation in the description of the defense reduction debuff applied by Poleaxe's [Grim Harvest].
Fixed missing content in the buff description for Short Bow's [Stunning Shot] when reducing enemies' movement speed.
Fixed a mismatch between the description and actual effect of the slowdown debuff applied by Longsword & Shield's [Shield Bash].
Fixed a display issue with the helm model after applying stencil on [Hero's Helm].
Fixed an inconsistency between visual preview range and actual effect range of the charge skill of cavalry units.
Fixed an issue where marching in a neutral area after exiting Warrior Showdown would not consume food.

Here are some adjustments we've made for the latest demo build:

Improvements:
  • Improved overall combat system.
  • Improved attack animation's root motion, less punching the air when attacking from far away.
  • Improved attack enemy in different direction, hit point will now magnetize, so no more punching the air.
  • Improved parkour system, better landing reactions.
  • Improved footstep foley sounds, no more overlapping sounds.
  • Improved walking animation, no more sliding.
  • Improved tutorial popout, fewer words.
  • Improved Jagal execution chainsaw sound FX.
  • Balanced enemy difficulty.

Changes & Fixes:
  • Fixed finisher and counter animations being interrupted and causing both characters to stop moving.
  • Fixed memory leaks, should be more optimized now.
  • Fixed unbalanced texture resolutions, now more optimized.
  • Changed gun mechanic buttons, reverted to common buttons for aiming and shooting.
  • Changed other basic & combat control buttons.

New Additions:
  • Added X-Ray FX on the last finisher.
  • Added foley & VFX on parkour animations.

Building a single large city in Memoriapolis

Hello Builders,

We've read your feedback: some feel that you end up building several small cities instead of one large one. That's probably true when you're new to the game, but rest assured: it's perfectly possible to create a single city from start to finish!

You just need to change your habits a little:
  • Plan your development.
  • Use mixed-use buildings and the Master Builder's Office.
  • Remember: not destroying doesn't mean not improving!
Mixed-use buildings
When you construct a building, it influences the neighborhoods around it. Some buildings can evolve from one age to the next, and also affect neighboring neighborhoods.

Example:
I build a temple during Antiquity.
Religious neighborhoods form around it.


In the Middle Ages, I unblock the church and transform my temple into a basilica.
As a result, all the surrounding neighborhoods automatically adapt to the new medieval style.


The Master Builder's Office
Unlocked in the Middle Ages, this building is essential for managing your town!
Click on its icon (on the left of the screen), then select a district: you'll be able to modify its planning rules and density.


For a few coins, you can modernize your city's appearance without razing it to the ground!



In addition, these modifications (type of construction and density) will have an impact on the number of inhabitants your town can receive. But beware: if this neighborhood is attractive, this is where your new residents will want to live!

  • The bank tunnel connecting to the vault has a spot that traps players
  • The hotel second-floor staircase can trap players if walking close to the wall
  • Across the road from the Golden Resort Hotel, there’s a small newspaper stand that traps players when approaching, with no exit
  • Window shards are overly bright
  • Complex collision on merged flowerbeds can trap feet
  • Missing collision on the circular sign in the bank lobby
