The Steam Link app allows gamers to experience their Steam library of games on Apple iPhone, iPad, and Apple TV devices while connected via 5Ghz network or wired Ethernet to a host computer running Steam. The Steam Link app features support for the Steam Controller, MFI controllers, and more.

The Steam Link app is now available on the Raspberry Pi 3B and 3B+ running Raspbian Stretch. A wired network is strongly recommended.

The supply of physical Steam Link hardware devices is completely sold out.

Samsung and Valve have worked together to create a Steam Link app specially designed and optimized for the Samsung Galaxy family of devices. It is now available from Galaxy Apps in the US and Korea, with more countries coming soon.

The Steam Link for Galaxy app requires the following:

• A computer running Steam, Windows 7 or newer, Mac OS X 10.10 (Yosemite) or newer, SteamOS, or Linux Ubuntu 12.04 or newer
  
• A wireless router running at 5 GHz
  
• A Steam Controller running the latest Bluetooth firmware, a Microsoft Xbox One S Controller connected via Bluetooth, or other supported controller.

Most recently, we’ve partnered with VirtualHere to introduce add-on support for hundreds of additional USB devices with the use of their app by the same name. VirtualHere lets you operate your remote computer using any number of USB devices directly connected to your Steam Link.

VirtualHere offers other interesting features too, like remote access to software authorization devices, and USB-to-serial conversion. Get ready to dust off that old racing wheel and give it another go!
