We've heard a number of people asking for another one of our games to come to Steam, and we're happy to announce that Crazy Plant Shop is now available!

In Crazy Plant Shop, players learn about genes and inheritance by breeding zany plants! Special requests from mysterious customers require players to understand dominant and recessive traits and how genetic traits get passed through generations. Use profits to acquire new breeds, purchase shop upgrades, and acquire new customers!

It's Spring -- time to grow some virtual plants. Get Reach for the Sun now for the low price of $4.99!

  • Strategy mode is now available on the plant selection screen
    This mode uses a set number of turns with no time limit. Plants will automatically collect resources between turns. Keep your plant balanced and try to maximize your resources on every turn to fruit each flower before winter comes!

  • Players can now grow the prickly pear cactus
    Cacti like the prickly pear have no leaves. Photosynthesis takes place in enlarged stems, requiring a slightly different approach to growing.

  • Bees!
    We’ve added bees to replace the current pollen system. Creating nectar will now spawn a bee. Players must click and drag the bee onto a female flower to pollinate.

  • Changed shaking off of Cold Snap to be mouse down rather than mouse-down and shake
  • Added an indicator bar to removing Cold Snap
  • Pollen now falls automatically, no shaking required.
  • Root click-area and root size has been increased, making it much easier to click on a root. Yay!

Strategic Changes:
  • Only one per each type of plant component (one root, one leaf, or one will glow at a time, slowing down the clickiness of the game.
  • Resource usage across actions are rebalanced across each plant, making it more strategic (and challenging) to collect all fruits on a plant.
  • Your best time for completion of each plant is now shown and tracked. Can you grow even faster?
  • The “Barebones” achievement is updated to now demand a player fruit a flower without growing any additonal leaves. This is changed based on the new strategic rebalance, and we think is a pleasant challenge.

Version 1.2 - Winter Update (unreleased):
  • A new plant!
