we released today a new version (V1.0.54) of PureDesktop with many improvements, bugfixes, reworks and much more. Here are a list of the most important changes.

We changed our logo to look more modern. It is not perfect, but it is much cleaner and fits better to our company.

We changed some of the controls, reduced the use of colors and made the buttons more pretty. What do you guys think. Do you like the "new" design or was the old design good enough?


We removed a lot of those ugly bugs which leads to crashes, none loading elements or other problems. But those little evil creatures are hard to find, so there can still be some of those bad boys.

Some performance options... Removed

We clever foxes have revised several code areas to increase performance. Some only within the designer, some in general. Do you notice any difference? :)

Russian, Chinese, Spain, French, ... We added so many localization... Some should be very good (yeah, be payed some guys for translation), some are okay (DeepL-Translator, not perfect but good enough) and some will be bad (Google-Translate. Sorry ːsteamfacepalmː).

So, a few final words. We haven't released any updates for a long time, because we were very busy ourselves. A lot of code changes have taken place in this time. We hope it still works as intended. If not: Write to us (PLEASE, don't write "tHaT sOfTwArE iS CrAp" ːsteamfacepalmː in the review... We will do our best).
And if your software still crashes while using the particle system. Yeah, the particle system can still crash in some situations. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it. Sadly, this is a Qt error ːsteamsadː.

we added 3 new Extensions to the ShareCenter.

Sprite
You can now play animations using Sprite-Sheets. Here you can find an example of an spritesheet: Dino



Parallax
Animates a static image so it looks like it moves endless. That Image has to be seamless, but you can find many of them online. E.g. Raventale



SearchBar
Just enter some text and your favorite search engine will open in your browser.

• Fixed a bug with the text extension
  
• Fixed a bug with the translation system
  
• Smaller improvements

We have fixed a critical issue that has caused crashes in the initial setup.

We have another feature built in.
Now you can select the different modes via a toolbar without having to open the main context menu.

The particle system is currently in an unstable state. Wallpapers using these type of extension will crash when switching to another project or deleting the particle system.

Sadly, we cannot fix that our self, because it's a bug in the Qt-Framework. We have to look for an working workaround or have to wait until Qt fixes that bug.

Please remember: It's a Early Access Software and not a stable version! ;)

This is a small hotfix.

After the Project-Overview-Upgrade, we forgot to add new downloaded projects from the ShareCenter to the available project list. This version will fix that bug.

Also we improved the translation and increased the amount of logging information to improve the support.

The first update is finished. Yeah!

In this update we have mostly improved the project overview. This is now faster and more beautiful. Hope for you the use is now a little easier and clearer :)

Furthermore, we limit the windows to the available screen area (also called "available screen").

And last but not least, we updated Font Awesome to the latest version.
