You can kill a stickman ten thousand ways using just two buttons in One Finger Death Punch 2. Sequel to Silver Dollar’s original manic pseudo-brawler, you can try it for yourself now before it lands on February 15th. Baddies approach from either side – when they’re within range, a left click strikes the target on the left, and a right click strikes the target on the right. And then there’s projectiles, dodging, bosses, weapons, enemies that switch sides, bonus rounds and a hundred more complications without ever needing more than two buttons. Grab the demo on Steam here.

After yonks of muttering about a sequel, developers Silver Dollar Games have now properly announced One Finger Death Punch 2. It’s still over a year out, due in spring 2019, but for now you can watch some serious stickman fisticuffs in this trailer: (more…)

Have You Played? is an endless stream of game retrospectives. One a day, every day of the year, perhaps for all time.>

It’s ludicrous to me how good One Finger Death Punch [Steam page] is. It’s a stick-man fighting game that harkens back to my wasted youth spent on tasteless websites like stickdeath.com, but it’s also one of the sleekest rhythm games I’ve ever played. Now, when I say rhythm game I’m not talking about punching to the beat, but the rhythm of combat that becomes so frantic it’s practically musical as stick-y parts fly across the screen.
