Warcoven Playtest - Uyhuri
Improved AI
AI now makes simple decisions instead of being completely random by rating its available actions.
  • Compares the target unit's resistance to its attacking unit attack to decide if the attack is worth doing.
  • Discourages placing units into enemy attack range and encourages placing units for opposing units to be in their attack range.
  • Each skill has its own rating logic to best fit its behavior.

UI Improvements
  • Arcade Lobby UI has been improved.
  • In combat, when selecting a unit action, an Icon of the selected action remains on top of the unit's head to indicate the selected action more clearly while selecting the target. The icon can also be pressed to cancel the action.
  • When selecting a target for a unit action, hovering over a target will show its name to clarify what target is being selected.
  • The combat's objective is now shown above the combat log, indicating to each player what they must do to advance in the match.

Controls
The controls input system was changed in favor of input mapping.
  • Unit dragging is not longer available. Deploying units can be done by pressing the unit's Icon in the menu and selecting the tile to deploy the unit on, similarly to unit actions for units on the board.
  • Camera Panning and Rotation no longer relies on "dragging" the board itself, allowing players you drag the mouse from any positions on the screen.
  • Controls Settings was added to the settings, where players can remap their camera controls and view all available controls.

Teams
Players and AIs now have teams allowing team combat.
  • Players can change their own teams in the lobby by selecting the number tag beside their name.
  • The lobby owner can change AI's team in the same manner.

Match Loading
The combat now waits for all players to successfully load before allowing players to take action.

Update Highlights – Gameplay & Bug Fixes

Here’s what’s new in this update:

✅ Improvements
Customers now show a happy emoji after being served their drink.

When a glass is removed from the table, the customer’s "needs cleaning" status is cleared properly.

Happy emoji now fades out and disappears 5 seconds after appearing.

Glass colliders have been increased in size for better interaction.

Drink prices have been rebalanced.

Clean glasses are now set to Ignore Raycast to prevent unwanted interactions.

When a table enters the "waiting for cleaning" state, it checks for a glass before displaying the emoji.

🐞 Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug where the "needs cleaning" emoji would remain stuck if the customer's patience ran out.

Customers who leave without drinking no longer appear drunk.

Fixed a bug where customers at the counter would leave happy immediately after arriving.

Resolved a logic issue where emoji feedback wasn’t reflecting cleaning state accurately.

🔄 QoL (Quality of Life)
Tables now indicate which one is prioritized for action to help player flow.

New Feature - Codex

The Codex is a new feature accessible through the main menu that allows you to view most of the possible choices available in the game - only choices that you have previously picked in the past will be fully revealed, so that you can both track what you have tried out before and review the descriptions and stats of the various spells, aspects, talents, etc.

Patch notes
  • Added the Codex to the main menu, which allows you to view various categories of choices made and their descriptions

  • Spell are automatically bound to a free slot if possible when learning them

  • Many fixes to the set of new spells added last patch

  • Miscellaneous visual and audio improvements

  • New visuals for trees, as the previous visual was not clear what it was

  • Added interface option to set a fixed field of view

  • Objectives now are more obvious and show their type when they first appear

  • Improved behavior of spell levelups when gaining multiple levels at once

  • Blood Magic spell aspect no longer has "Cannot be applied to remedy spells" and instead has "This spell cannot restore life in any way"

  • Slayer's Advance buff now only applies to non-translocation spells

  • You can now view the full details of spells granted by shrines by expanding the effect description in the character sheet

I’ve just released the demo of Yollen - a brutally minimalist idle RPG.

This game was one of the starting points for Megaloot - something I made a long time ago as a side project, just to try things out. Over time, I decided to finish it and release it on Steam because I felt it deserved a place here.

It’s simple and quiet. You level up skills, manage your inventory, and slowly get stronger. No big effects, no pressure - just a steady rhythm of progress.
