1. Add the 'Energy' system.

[Flash] and [Engage/Block] no longer consume sword power, but rather energy.
Energy will recover over time, and using herbs can restore full energy.
When the energy is too low, it is impossible to use [Flash] or [Engage/Block].

2. Key position adjustment.

Many players have given feedback that the current key position is unreasonable and the operation is very awkward, so they have made the following changes:

[Flash]: [Original] Left Shift or S key ->[Now] Space bar or left Shift key
[Jump]: [Original] Space bar ->[Now] W key
[Engage/Block]: [Original] W key ->[Now] S key

Apologies to players who have adapted to the old key positions! I hope the new keys can provide better gameplay.

There are still two key options to choose from now. You can switch in the [Key Description] column of the [ESC] menu.

Option A: Default button scheme.
Option B: Exchange of [Style] and [Engage/Block].

3. Improved the efficiency of obtaining sword power.
4. Fixed some other minor bugs.

  • Added the color changing tool to build mode, which allows changing the colors of already placed furniture, windows and doors

Improvements
  • Beds are now claimed when people start sleeping in them rather than when they finish, causing couples to be more likely to sleep in the same bed when creating a new save
  • Selected walls, roofs and stairs are now also highlighted with the white outline in relevant game modes
  • Display an alert exclamation point on the job and needs tabs, as well as in the character switcher on the side, when not at work and when important needs are low
  • Food items with honey on them are now not considered viable for babies
  • Randomly remove a child from the list of adoptable children every night to slowly randomize it
  • Improved the performance of auto-tiles, especially when rotating the camera a lot

Fixes
  • Fixed the reason why the character creator's Done button is grayed out not displaying when using a gamepad
  • Fixed phones being left behind on the ground when people get removed
  • Fixed a min/max floor exception when there are no visible lots
  • Fixed a deadlock where, sometimes, a person holding a baby would get stuck if the baby was also holding something
  • Fixed adults trying to put babies in cribs when they are already in one
  • Fixed people being unable to go jogging autonomously when on their home lot
  • Fixed people discarding a book they're already holding when told to read

API
  • Tiles are now stored on map sections as tile instances, allowing for them to store additional data per-position
  • Added the serializer usage enum to denote whether a serializer is used for saving, loading or both

Don’t worry — we’re still alive!

Progress takes a bit longer with our tiny team and limited time, but we’re hard at work behind the scenes.

Right now, we’re focused on adding comic-style text effects — on-screen captions like “PEW PEW” and “BOOM” that appear the moment an impact happens.



These sound words — also known as onomatopoeia — will pop up for everything from massive explosions down to dripping pipes. We're currently in the experimentation phase, looking for ways to make the game feel even more lively and expressive.
