We’ve patched up some bugs, rebalanced crafting requirements, and made a few quality-of-life updates. Thanks for all the feedback during the demo!

Gameplay

  • Added sanity effects to all foods: eating raw food now reduces sanity, while cooked food restores it.

  • Cardboard Matches and Wood Matches can now be equipped like a torch, but only last for one turn.

  • Fixed fresh pelt from squirrel and rat not being able to dry on the Drying Rack.

  • Fixed crafting recipes that incorrectly used fresh hare/fox pelts instead of the cured versions.

UI/UX

  • Fixed Fresh Pelt and Gut items showing the wrong card detail popup (appearing as a large, empty space).

  • Updated Cooked Rat Meat to display the correct icon.

  • Reduced default sound effect volume from 60% to 40%.

  • Lowered volume on overly loud sound effects to be more comfortable.

  • Fixed sound effects not playing when starting a campfire or loading Chapter 2.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue where moving cards after applying filters could leave empty slots and sometimes block further progress.

Threads of War - _K_o_S_

In the first month of the war, Ukrainians were horrified by kilometer-long columns of enemy tanks advancing on Kyiv, Kharkiv, and other cities. Various rumors spread among the people, panic raged, and tens of thousands of men and women went to military enlistment offices to join the defense of their country.

Amid all this madness, the Ukrainian army and volunteers did everything they could to stop the enemy.

In those days, the song “Oh, the Red Viburnum in the Meadow”, performed by Andriy Khlyvnyuk on Sofiyska Square of Kyiv, became a symbol of resistance. In 1914, it was the anthem of the Sich Riflemen, and in 2022 it was given a new life.

So I decided to use it as the main theme for the first phase of the 2022 war - the liberation of Northern Ukraine.

Like all other soundtrack melodies, it is performed in 8-bit style. In this track, alongside the main heroic theme, I composed another melody that intersects with the main one but conveys the chaos and tension of those days. In the background, I created an intense “clanking” sound of heavy military machinery.

This patch contains mainly bug fixes and small improvements.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Improvements
  • Updated Unity game engine version.

  • Improved descriptions for Scrapper, Spreader, Irrigation, Overflow, Big Spender, Beet Salesman, Pumpkin Spice Latte, Sprinkler, Wheat, and Fertilizer.

  • Improved tutorial texts, especially their entry animation and font.

  • Improved input device auto-detection. From now on, only major navigation inputs (like d-pad navigation for gamepads and arrow keys navigation for keyboards) will trigger input scheme changes. Moving the mouse will still change the input to mouse.

    • This change will allow for combining mouse input with keyboard binds such as \[N] for next day or \[H] for harvest all.

  • Fixed bug that caused spawning temporary exhaust Cabbage cards in card packs and supply drops.

  • Fixed bugs related to spamming the next day button (mainly on gamepads).

  • Fixed the camera not centering on a selected map node (mainly on gamepads).

  • Fixed a few game internal errors.

Localization Update

Besides English, the demo is now available in:

If your system is set to one of these languages, it should set the language accordingly; otherwise, it will remain in English. You can manually change the language in the settings menu.

Some parts of certain languages have been improved by community members. However, the translations are certainly not perfect, so please don’t take any offense in that and let me know if you find anything. I’ll try to fix it asap. Overall, I hope for all non-English speakers that this is still an improvement. In the future, for official releases and such, you can expect professional translations for sure.

Remaining Patch Notes (QoL changes)
  • Right Click Squad Member "Circle Portraits" in collection window for details

  • Right Click Hex Cards on the battlefield to open the character's "Archivum" page

  • If characters are equipped with Consumables, they now pop up at the beginning of the turn on the left side as a reminder so they can be used - as they must - before any actions.

  • I updated the tips which can be set active in the battlefield scene

  • I also added more tooltips & improved some wording

Future Plans

I hope to be soon ready for more updates on release plans etc. For now the Kickstarter release is planned for around the end of September. The additional funds will help to add more battlefields, enemy mobs, item art, campaign mode, and story trailer.

My plan is to hold a permanent closed beta after the campaign until the Early Access launch with regular patches, which will steadily introduce new characters, battles, or mechanics to test and provide feedback.

The current goal is to release into Early Access around April/Mai 2026. I'm also in talks with potential publishers, maybe there will be some updates in this regard too.

GONE Fishing - Bigsexy

Hello all! Me and my brother have some updates for you to enjoy! Our beloved artist is cranking out some baller 3d models and textures and they will be soon implemented into the game I am working on setting up the system for character selection so that you can have a little but of style for you character. Im hoping to have this finished by Monday morning.

Content in today's patch:

Added new totem that displays the progress towards quota. This totem is unlocked by default. As you feed fish to the altar, the totems bar will glow and indicate how close you are to meeting quota. 

Added new volume sliders for music, weather and voip. 

There are also voip sliders for each individual player, allowing you to adjust the volume of each person in your group

Made several improvements to the voip system to improve quality.

Added new VFX when catching fish

Fixed multiple issues with the save system

Fixed bug where crocodile would get stuck in a loop after grabbing a player

Fixed bug where a player's voip state could get stuck to false and never return to true
Some other random fixes aswell.
