In this update, we have some major changes:

- First, the training and combat sprites have been revamped.

- Steam services have been added. The game now has achievements that can be unlocked on Steam. (I'm working on creating ranked battles in the future.)

We recently discovered an issue where save data was not syncing properly across devices due to a misconfiguration in the number of files set for Steam Cloud synchronization.
This issue has now been resolved.

Please restart your Steam client, and the synchronization problem should be fixed.

- Added Map Toggling, **Right-Click** to toggle a map in or out the vote rotation.

Fixes/Balancing:

  • Fixed a localization issue that caused severe lag in some systems (sorry!)

  • Spores from Mycelium now properly inherit buffs from Blacksmiths and Beacons

  • Flametower is now properly getting movement speed boosts

  • Earthworking a level 3 Concabulator will give you 2 Concabulators and 1 Broken Cabulator again

  • Trappers now gain a bit of attack speed when leveling up

  • Fixed a conflict caused by ending a run during an animation

  • Re-enchant now properly works will all enchantments.

  • Improved Executioner targetting system

  • Fixed visual display of ranged projectiles (they would randomly be invisible)

  • Damage pop ups now always display actual damage output of melee troops

  • Fixed a glitch that charged 30 gold whenever using Explore/Earthworks during Endless Mode

Kill The Music - Nikko Nikko LTD

Update Summary:

This small update polishes the changes from last update, focusing on Bug Fixes, New Curses, Increasing Song Speed and Overall Balance Changes. 

  • NEW CURSES: The New Curse system if there are both a Larger Curse Pool to choose from and Harder Curses that counteract certain builds. We’ve added new curses to really explore this system better. 

  • BUG FIXES: In the last update a couple of Bugs and Soft-Locks were flagged and we’ve addressed a couple in this recent update. 

  • SONG SPEED: We’ve increased the speed for all the songs slightly for a faster game feel. 

  • BALANCE: There were some balance issues with Boss Health being way too low for most players. We’ve adjusted the Boss Health, Enemy Damage and Stat Reward Amounts accordingly. 

Future Plans:

  • Next on our docket is expanding our Upgrade Options to prepare for the full release. Stay tuned!

  • Solo Resets Combo

  • Combo Cap (10)

  • Only Perfect Ticks up Combo Count

Balance Changes:

  • Shortened Spawn Time for Absurdity 3 Song 4, 7, 10 and 13 because some players were clearing enemies too fast, leading to wait time. 

  • Increased Boss Health for All Absurdity Levels

  • Increased Enemy Damage in Absurdity 3.

  • Enabled Double Time Always Mode unlocked by default 

  • Lowered Dodge Cooldown timer slightly 

  • Set Good Beat Hits to be slightly easier to hit

Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed Typo in Chapter 1 Cutscene

  • Fixed Typo in Absurdity 3 Short Description 

  • Fixed Typo in Firing Rate +3 Upgrade (description said +2 while the title said +3)

  • Set Round Start to use Med instead of Normal for Difficulty label for better terminology consistency 

  • Fixed issue where Unlocks could soft lock players from accessing the “Play” option in Main Menu

  • Fixed issue where Solo Costs Health curse would soft lock player in next round in certain circumstances. 

  • Fixed issue where Guitar Beam would interfere with all instrument functionality 

  • Fixed issue where if Firing Rate +3 Upgrade was selected in Tutorial, the upgrade would not correctly be activated/added in next round.

  • Fixed issue where Completing Absurdity 3 would soft lock the player from playing again (Absurdity 4 would be incorrectly unlocked, when it’s not in build) 

  • Fixed issue where if you navigate the main menu towards a “run start” as fast as possible the asset loader will not have enough time to compile data and soft-lock the game.

STARTING A NEW GAME IS REQUIRED
Some of the patch notes may be repeats from before.

Major Changes:
- Added a visual skill trees and adjusted some of the skills dependencies.
- I just realized the Boost Action plugin was boosting all damage by 3x + 30, it's now reduced to 1.0x + 0. It was also boosting some skills that give buffs with an extra 3 turns, that's been removed.
- Removed Boost actions and related items/skills. (It just doesn't fit the game anymore)
- Removed VisuStella's Skill Learn System.
- Changed the name of almost all natures, changed the percent gain/loss from 2% -> 4% except for luck which got 8%, reduced the amount to choose, and added flavor text to them.
- All weapons have had their damage lowered and all weapons are now upgradable to Tier V. Now, Tier I - II can be crafted at an anvil and Tier III - V are craftable with a blacksmith.
- Added 10 new accessories that can be equipped by most classes that change the attack element of basic attacks.

Minor Changes:
- Fixed Hanali and Felahna not being locked when entering the Druid Trials Dungeon.
- Fixed the followers not being unlocked when leaving the Druid Trial (Thanks to Arunay on Steam for letting me know).
- Party members are no longer automatically added back to the active formation when teleporting or ending battle (Thanks to Guinevere on Discord for mentioning it).
- Changed the crown of thorns to no longer damage you outside of combat (and no longer flash the screen red) and reduced the MAT 15-> 10 (Thanks to Hawtmod on Discord for letting me know).
- Changed the Crown of Fire to only be equippable for the Pyromancer class tree.
- Removed the shop in the Forge and Craft.
- Updated Credits
- Reduced the amount Sorcerer Heal & Revive give.
- Reduced the amount Ecomancer & Tamer skill "Rain" heals.
- Added new damage types that aren't implemented yet but some skills for Apprentice and Unkindled were given the 'Magic' damage type.
- Fixed Kristolon not being able to get any specialization for Archer or Psycho (which likely caused a softlock).
- Appropriate skills are now automatically learned, such as for new followers.
- Changed Archer tree skill icons.
- Added a new state, "Wet". It's applied when you fight outside in the rain. Increases lightning damage taken by 20% and water damage taken by 7%, reduces fire damage taken by 20%.
- Changed wild magic aquisition to be automatically learned at levels 45 and 70.
- Changed the Magicians damage skills to require a wand.
