The ENDLESS BACKGATE - LIBERUM PROJECT

Hello, this is LIBERUM PROJECT.

We’re here to share the details of the Demo v0.0.2 update.

▶ Anomalies
  • Changed the knocking sound for anomalies.

  • Adjusted anomaly spawning so they no longer overlap with interactive objects (Missing Posters, Coins, Item Boxes).

  • Added a UI indicator to I2 anomalies.

  • Added an animation to one of the I2 anomalies: the abnormal coin.

  • Revised part of the description for anomaly D3.

  • Improved anomaly G6 so that when properly countered, the screen briefly blacks out to signal its disappearance.

▶ Items
  • Updated the way item passive effects are displayed.

  • Added usage logs for certain items when used.

▶ UI
  • Added a warning that triggers when closing your eyes if the gauge is over 60%.

  • Fixed an issue where opening Settings from the title screen would also open the pause menu.

  • Updated parts of the Settings UI.

  • Improved some anomaly descriptions for better clarity.

  • Added tutorial text to the Manual.

  • Added memos to the Manual.

  • Changed the system so that a new anomaly is revealed each day. New anomalies can be checked in the memos.

  • Corrected several English translations.

▶ Bug Fixes

Fixed an issue where using the item “Anti-Psychotropic” at 1 HP would still result in a Game Over.

Fixed a bug where damage logs would appear when countering D3.

▶ Other
  • Doors will no longer open during Merchant, Card Game, or Item Selection events.

  • Merchants now only appear when you have at least 3 coins.

  • Reduced the reaction speed of the Card Game.

  • Adjusted card spacing in the Card Game to better match door alignment.

  • Updated some Card Game rewards.

Unbridled: That Horse Game - Mind Evotion Games
General Brightness & Post-Processing Settings
Some players had trouble navigating in darker environments. This was due to our different settings for various weather types. We’ve now adjusted the post-processing effects for all weather conditions, both day and night. As a result, interiors and exteriors are now always bright enough to find your way around comfortably.


Seasons
In addition to the new brightness adjustments, the weather system has also been reworked: it’s no longer completely random. Instead, you’ll now experience season-typical conditions:
  • December to February: Winter
  • March to May: Spring
  • June to August: Summer
  • September to November: Autumn
Note: This is based on in-game time, not real-world time or your PC calendar.

Reminder: Your in-game calendar may reset with this update. If that happens, don’t worry — no progress will be lost. The game will simply start on March 1st.

Horse Editor UI Overhaul
The Horse Editor has received a fresh, cleaner design!
Additionally, these changes have been made:
  • A new button lets you open your screenshot folder directly
  • Camera and horse rotation are now controlled with the mouse instead of buttons


Fertilizer
Until now, processed fertilizer could only be sold — that changes now!
From now on, you can fertilize:
  • Fields
  • Raised beds
  • Trees
to boost your harvest yields.

Multiple Names for Your Horses
At the community’s request, we’ve added the ability for horses to carry two names at once.
Additionally, the UI for renaming horses in the Horse Editor and during purchase has been slightly updated.


Horse Poop Function
The poop system has been completely rebuilt. Horses will now only poop twice per day — once in the morning and once in the evening. Old piles disappear the next day (at 6:00 AM). There's now a system behind it — previously, it was random.

Sound Effects
We’ve started integrating new sound effects. Each one is carefully edited, trimmed, and acoustically optimized.
To avoid repetitive patterns, several variations of similar sounds are used.

Tack Sets – Rework
We’re currently working on updating the Kingston, Kentucky, and L'Aquila tack sets to give them a fresher and more fitting look for Unbridled.

Miscellaneous
As the number of functions, variables, and macros continued to grow, the code became increasingly complex. To address this, we’ve invested time in a thorough cleanup and restructuring process.
Our goal was to remove redundant elements, improve organization, and significantly increase readability and maintainability. These measures lay a more stable foundation for future development and long-term maintenance.

Dev Log #27 – Power, Style, and More Realism

Hello Builders,
The construction site is getting busier than ever. With this update, we focused on bringing more realism and new systems into your projects, while also expanding the possibilities of customization.

Materials and Finishing

We’ve introduced a wide range of wall structures, paints, and floor finishes, allowing you to personalize both interiors and exteriors. Materials are now aligned using a World Alignment system, so large surfaces look more natural and avoid repetitive patterns.

Electrical Installations

A brand-new electrical system is now part of construction. You can build a complete power network with a switchboard, sockets, and light switches. Electricity flows realistically through the network, and everything can be tested in-game.

To make things easier, we’ve also added a cable scanner. Even if your walls are already plastered, you can still visualize where the hidden wires are running.

Wooden Assembly

We added a wood paneling module, where you can attach panels and decorative elements to walls using a hammer tool that appears in your hand during work.

HUD Improvements

The HUD has been expanded with new modules to support the growing systems: materials, electricity, and construction elements. At the same time, we’ve started developing a brand-new interface that will eventually replace the current HUD in a future update.

Expanding the World

The environment around your building site has been improved with new background elements and higher-quality distant objects, increasing immersion and depth in the world.

Future Foundations

We’ve prepared the groundwork for water and sewage systems, as well as the first code structures for basement construction and excavation with heavy machinery. These are still in development, but they set the stage for even more advanced building mechanics in upcoming updates.

We’re getting closer to a true full-scale construction experience, and this update brings us one big step forward.
