Thank you for playtesting Illusive Domain.

As previously planned, the playtest will be taken down today to focus on fixing up feedback and bugs.

The playtest will stay up for a while longer, but there will not be any further updates during this period.

🔥QUICK EXPLANATION🔥:

I figured I'd start posting stuff on here so that anyone interested or those checking out the page for the first time can see where I'm at.

As of right now, pretty much all of the footage and screenshots of the game on here are roughly a year old and the game has changed and improved a lot since then. Making the trailer alone took weeks for me at the time, so it's been hard to commit to making an updated one when I know there's still changes to come that I want featured in it. Because of that, I've left the Steam page itself kind of neglected, so I figured the least I can do is start writing quick updates of where the game is currently at here. I might go ahead and update the showcase screenshots though (even if it means they'll be inconsistent with the trailer footage).

🔥CURRENT GAME STATUS🔥:

  • 🏝️ HUGE art (and performance) improvements have been made in pretty much every aspect of the game since the Steam page was first made.

  • 🎰 The Item Box is in and fully functional (although I haven't thoroughly tested it in a while so might need to double check that).

  • 🌟 Wisps are in and fully functional (again, gonna need some new testing to verify).

  • 🧙 The Class System still needs substantial work. A lot of the coding is done for many of the classes, however the Thief class still needs to be fleshed out significantly and art for all of the class abilities still needs to be made and implemented

  • 🃏 Cards are implemented and functional to a degree - the main intention of the card system is for it to go hand-in-hand with the class system so a lot of the card functionality needs to be tested thoroughly once that's ready.

  • 💯 The "Fiatro" Score System (working title, inspired by another solo dev game if you can believe it) is something I've been working on meant to also tie in with the class system and reward players for good gameplay (haven't even mentioned this in the Upcoming Features section of the page yet). The art and basic code for it is implemented although still needs some decent work to get functioning in tip top shape.

  • 🤖 Bots (also need to add this to the Upcoming Features section). Bots were something I've avoided tackling for a long time, but recently I decided they were necessary to really bring life to the game even if you're playing solo. Only the bare bones work has been done for them so far and there's still a long way to go before they're ready, but I truly think they'll be a great addition to the game when they are. The plan is to have them so that you can play with them online or in single-player and in both instances, whether you turn them on, how many there are, and how good they are, is completely left up to you.

I think that's it for now. There was a lot to cover so I tried to keep it pretty broad, but in the future I'm probably gonna just leave it at "Current Game Status" and get a bit more specific on what's actually changed. Hoping to post one of these every week, but life is hectic so don't want to make any promises.

This is a revision of the project grim diary. The last patch has been a while because of the big changes still in development. The project has not been abandoned, it’s constantly being developed. It’s a big step~up and changes compared to the previous direction.

No More Modes 

Instead of modes it will be added as part of the world going to explore. Everything now revolve around exploring.All the modes now will be added in this new open world.

Changes to Character Selection

Instead of the character selection player will be modifying the team through the world itself.

New additional characters will be recruitable to the party. Default characters will be Emi and Eli.

Defeat Condition

Will spawn to Save Point which can be found inside the kabo’s Village.

Battle/Encounter

The battle system does not change much.

Playing this way is *NOT* recommended as the game was designed from the beginning to have these, but now the choice is entirely yours! Check out the full change log below!

Update v0.91 is here! Bringing in some new additions, changes, and fixes. Please continue to post your bug reports and feedback in Community Hub or in the game's Discord server.

- building snap points for all vehicles
- cars now need wheels
- new item Wheel
- automatic campfire meat drop
- hold button hint for sleep, fireplace, etc.
- "Snap" hint when looking at a snap point

CHANGED
- building a vertical pillar on a car will align it with the car
- improved building obstacle detection
- wheels won't disappear when car is destroyed
- human enemy attacks are now more predictable
- cars will now run poorly with unpurified Urlid
- replaced car funnels with simple filler for easier building & pipe attachment
- fireplace start/extinguish trigger on the whole object
- can no longer enter destroyed vehicle
- throwing food near enemies will delay their attack
- made defogger legs shorter

FIXED
- exiting a vehicle that was covered in buildables was problematic
- player busy error lock if clicked during loading
- loading screen ended too early
- emptying a fluid container would increase bladder value
