There’s only one force known to man that can improve board-game-like strategic RPG For The King, and that force is pirates. They’ll be swinging on board November 21st as part of the Into The Deep update, equipped with new gun-class weapons and with other NPCs (friendly and not-so-friendly) on their tail. If the trailer’s anything to go by, there is a lot of shooting people on boats.

Do what you want, because the pirates are free. Yar, Har, fiddle dee-dee.

Hex-based roguelikelike action-RPG For The King today completed its fourteen-month adventure through early access and arrived at a full launch. For The King

Hex-based tactical dungeon crawler For The King has been rattling around on Steam’s Early Access section since February of last year, charming folks with its stylish texture-lite aesthetics and its compelling mix of freeform adventuring and uncompromising tabletop-inspired combat, where things are seldom far from a bad turn. IronOak Games reckon that their first baby is just about ready to take its first steps into the wide open world, and are gearing up for launch on April 19th.

Death comes easily to the intrepid hex explorer. If you re lucky, you ll just get a quick bandit axe in the forehead. But if you re like me, only the most scurrilous death will do. In a poison bog surrounded by old swamp hags, for example. Or deep underground at the hands of deranged cultists and their bat minions.
