Fix & Update
1. Added dark-themed UI, freely switchable in Settings.
2. New character "Lan" added: Unlocked after completing "Main Story II - Endless Corridor".
3. New outfit "Note - Futoko" added: Can be purchased with candy.
4. Adjusted Rating system and adjusted Nrk algorithm (Nrk will decrease differently after update).
5. Reduced candy acquisition penalty: When holding over 20,000 Candy, every additional 1,000 Candy reduces acquisition rate by 1%. The maximum penalty is 80%, when owning 100,000 Candy.
6. Changed character selection logic:
- Tap character to cycle through permanent outfits
- Tap blank area to confirm current outfit
- Locked characters/outfits shows unlock prompt when tapping blank area
7. Slightly decreased candy drops during gameplay; slightly increased avatar drop rate.
8. Added new song pack covers for some chapters.
9. Fixed abnormal max fps on mobile under certain conditions.
10. Optimized resolution settings.
11. Fixed other issues.

Version-Only Event
1. "Nota - Radiant Negative" Rerun:
- Available during v2.5 after clearing Main Story II
- Unlock with 10,000 Candy (never available again after v2.5
2. "Note - Futoko" 50% Discount:
- During v2.5, unlock for 6,000 Candy after getting original Note.
- Price reverts to 12,000 Candy after the event.
3. Double Candy for 10 first plays daily during v2.5.
4. First Play Bonus: Extra Candy for first plays of any song during v2.5.
5. Login Reward:
- 2,000 Candy for all players during v2.5
- Additional 10,000 Candy for players on platforms where v2.0 was inaccessible.

Sometimes I wonder what this devlog should be about. Is this a bullet-point list of what I have spent my work hours doing this week? Do I really want to tell you everything? There needs to be surprises!

Sometimes I feel like talking about broader issues in independent game development. How do you learn to code? What tools do you use?

Sometimes I want to talk about more personal things. Motivation, inspiration, work ethic.

I did a lot of things this week. I spent time working on automatically adjusting particle effect colors for new environments. I created some lava for you to fall into. I created an enemy that rises up out of the lava and spits at you. I also added the ability to switch the music to the next song by hitting a hotkey, for me and the playtesters as well. I also installed a Godot plugin, called G.U.I.D.E., which handles input. Remapping keybinds in Godot can be a massive pain, and G.U.I.D.E. does a great job at providing a much simpler framework. It also has full documentation, as well as several video tutorials on Youtube, created by the developer. Highly recommended.

This week, I studied a lot. If you are looking for the best overall pixel art course that I have found online, check out Pixel Art Master Course on Udemy. It's very thorough and helpful. I spent time reading a game design book called Level Up! by Scott Rogers. It is very good at breaking down all of the details of game design. I read Beginning Game Development with Godot (2021). I did not learn much. I am not THAT much of a beginner. I also read some of a French comic book called "The Obscure Cities" and the mysteries in the stories are very much inspiring my subversive creativity.

Here are some tools I use for game development. The Godot game engine. Very nice, open-source, constantly being updated, and learning resources are abundant. Pyxel Edit. This is the best tool for creating tilesets, period. It is not as fully-featured as Aseprite, lacking powerful features such as custom brushes, but for simple pixel art, tilesets, and animation, it is extremely useful.

Now how is my personal game development journey going, for me? Well, I am motivated. This is my dream job, since I was a little kid, and I have a huge drive to create worlds, craft stories, and provide unique experiences to players. I want to create games that are infused with my own personal creativity.

Once upon a time, I watched Twin Peaks season 3. I thought it was the single most uniquely creative visual project I have ever seen. Everything single moment of the show was pulled from the depths of David Lynch's creative mind. And I was ashamed. Why am I not putting ALL of my creativity into everything that I am doing with my life? I remember this moment, and I continue to work to release the unique vision that I have inside.

1. The text format for displaying the quantity of items has been optimized.
2. Fixed the issue where the cooldown time abnormally decreased during high-speed multi-enemy battles such as Beast Tide.
3. Fixed the issue where the enemy's image was displayed incorrectly in the mind wandering mode.
4. The list of characters to be selected for reincarnation and tribulation has added a function to filter "reincarnable characters". (Level meets character)
5. Fixed the issue where the number of enemy killing tasks in secret realms or dungeons was not counted.
6. The World tree has been upgraded to allow for a rapid input of one level of material each time you right-click with the mouse.

Hi friends, as it became usual once a year, happy to say I'm still alive, still in the army 3 years through the war.

August 2025 marks 75 000 copies of Titan chaser sold since its release, and your support helps me significantly to keep my sanity during this crazy time. I no longer feel myself as a game developer, although I hope to return as soon as our neighbors stop claiming our cities and people as their and killing my friends in the process.

Until that happens, I can only continue do what is right as the part of Ukrainian Armed Forces, count on your support through my existing games and continue to absorb this horrible experience as inspiration for the future projects in case I get the opportunity to make them.

Q: Enter the main game screen and check that the confirmation green is highlighted at the lower left corner, indicating that the supporter pack has been activated.

Q: The official version is just a stage, not the end. The game will be updated with more content and DLCS for expanded gameplay.
