Hey Parcel Inspectors!

It's been a busy month for Parcel Simulator, with lots of new features and changes being worked on to get the game closer to release. I'm hoping to have a release date announcement coming very soon. Here's some of the stuff I've been working on:

📈 The Warehouse Must Expand!
The non-demo area of the warehouse has been expanded significantly, with many more expansions and lots more verticality for extra large storage racks. More space is something I hear demo players crave, so I've made sure that the full release warehouse has lots of expansions to build your conveyor setups into!



↗️ Splitter Conveyor
The splitter conveyor will allow you to equally split parcels three ways to split up your storage. The splitter always prioritises empty routes, so even if one or more of the routes are full parcels will continue to flow.



🤑 Conveyor Upgrades
The conveyor upgrade system has been implemented to allow you to upgrade existing conveyors to level 2 and level 3, increasing speed and other stats. Scanners can be upgraded to increase their scan speed, and conveyors upgraded to increase their movement speed.



🔎 Contents Inspection Improvements
Further improvements have been made to the contents inspection licence in Parcel Simulator, including some better animations, a larger variety of items, and some QOL changes.



🔢 Serial Number Improvements
To make life easier when checking serial numbers, some invalid serial numbers will now be visually identifiable by looking for codes that are too short, or contain alphabetic characters (A-Z). The handheld serial number scanner has also been improved, to allow back-to-back scanning of packages to check for validity.



🎨 Conveyor Paint
Conveyor belt paint will allow you to paint up to 10 belts per bucket, to make your conveyors more visually distinct from one another. 🔴🟠🟡🟢🔵🟣



💾 Autosave
Autosave will be enabled by default, ensuring that your game saves as you play. You'll be able to disable this in the settings, though, if you want to ensure that Alt+F4 doesn't save your progress.

  • Fixed a bug with Pocket Pet when activating while no cards in hand (the discarded card got stuck in hand)
  • Fixed a bug with unlocking new cards (via Fuse event) on the mountain, the displayed unlocked card would not properly show.
  • Updated settings to default to 240 FPS limit for new players (backup in case V-Sync is not working, and uncapped FPS crashes the computer)

Dear Earthlings
It's been about a month since the last dev diary, so it's time to write a new one.
I want to keep doing these monthly, because I don’t want to give the impression that I’m not working on the game. Even though I’m not always posting a lot of content, it actually means I’m working really hard behind the scenes!
So, let’s get into it.

Animations
I'm currently reworking all the animations and sprites for every faction. So far, the Naala, M38, and Sundogs have been completed, now I just need to redo the Robotek faction.
Animations are now being done in Adobe After Effects, which will result in a much smoother visual experience.

I showcased the Sundogs in the last dev diary, so this time I’ll be showing the M38 and Naala.



Crew Roles And Types
I'm also busy assigning different roles to your crew members. One of these roles is the Engineer, who will help repair your ship when it takes damage. Another is the Pilot. You'll be able to instruct them to fly to specific locations, and they’ll take you there. There are many more crew types in the game, but I won’t reveal them just yet!


Planned Release Date
My plan is to release this update about a week before the Steam Summer Sale. That way, I’ll have time to fix as many bugs as possible before the game goes on sale.
Right now, that puts the release around June 19th 2025. I’ll do everything in my power to make that date a reality, but I’m not ready to lock it in just yet. If everything goes according to plan and nothing unexpected comes up, I should be able to pull it off.

Bigfoot Life - Planet 47 Games
I'm excited to announce that the Bigfoot Life Demo has been localized in the following languages.

  • English
  • French
  • German
  • Spanish
  • Japanese
  • Russian
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Korean

It should be noted however, the Demo was machine translated. The full game will be translated by a professional localization company done by humans. If anyone playing one of the localized languages and would like to report a mistake or a correction to the translation please let me know. Other Updates

  • Rock throwing and human throwing have been updated.
  • A bug that would cause you to not be able to change the eye color in the Bigfoot creator should now be fixed.
  • There was a floating trail cam away from a tree that has been placed correctly now.
  • Fixed being able to spam swinging the stick and floating across the ground while doing it.
  • Other small fixes.

Procedural Studio - PSDev
Version 1.9 features performance improvements for editor preview visualizations. Enabling these previews could cause significant delays in the graph editor, especially when working with large 3d meshes. This update brings a level-of-detail solution that significantly reduces these delays.
As a second change, a loading screen for graphs is now shown during application startup. It is now possible to select the correct workspace(s) to load. In older versions, all workspaces were loaded. This could make it impossible to start procedural studio if a file was corrupted

Hello, dear Pixelians!

First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to report bugs and issues that affected your experience.

While bugs are sometimes unavoidable, they should never disrupt your enjoyment, so we rolled up our sleeves and tackled those pesky troublemakers. 🐞

Now, let’s take a look at what’s been fixed and improved in this update:

BUG FIXES

🎓 Graduation Bug Fixed:
  • The issue preventing graduation from Pixelian Academy is now resolved! If you're playing on an existing save where the bug occurred, just head over to the college, talk to the headmaster, and interact with him to graduate. If you’re starting a new game, everything should work as expected without any action needed.

📘 Quest Fixes & Progression:
  • The quest requiring you to raise any skill to 15 is now working correctly and should auto-complete if conditions are met.

  • The Roughnecks' quest to defeat someone has been fixed.

  • The Dream Task “Reach 100 Crime” now tracks progress accurately.

  • Previously, aspiring criminals were losing 24 Crime points daily, making it hard to progress. We've rebalanced this. Crime now decreases by a random amount between 1 and 7 each day.

  • You can now play Digital Keyboards directly from your inventory.

  • Character walk and run speeds increased by 10%.

  • Previously, accessing the Basketball Arena required Prestige Level 10, even if the Coach had invited you. Now, once you receive an invitation, you’ll be allowed in right away, no Prestige requirement needed.

💳 Banking Updates:
  • You can now make hospital payments using your Credit Card.

  • The issue with increasing Credit Card limits is fixed. You can now spend 25 Prestige Points to boost your limit by 2,500P.

🍅 Ketchup Crisis Solved:
  • Turns out, ketchup had mysteriously vanished from all of Pixelia. But don’t worry! We’ve restocked every supermarket! Our sincerest apologies for the saucy inconvenience. 😅

Intro Guides for Mini-Games


Now, whenever you try a mini-game for the first time, a helpful pop-up will appear to explain how it works.


💾 Better Auto-Saving System
  • Auto-Save is now enabled by default for all new games! If you’re playing with an existing save file, you can still enable Auto-Save manually from the Pause Menu.

  • We’ve also increased the save frequency. Your game will now auto-save every 1 minute and 30 seconds instead of every 5 minutes, offering better protection against progress loss!


New Optional Features to Make Your Pixelian Life Easier!

We’ve added four new settings to help tailor the experience to your playstyle, and it is completely optional!

🕹 Key Rebinding
  • This was one of the most requested features, especially by players who had difficulty with certain key layouts. For now, you can rebind a select set of keys, and we’ll be expanding this to include more, particularly mini-game controls. So you can fully customize your setup soon!

📈 Skill Progression Speed
  • Don’t feel like grinding? No problem. You can now choose how quickly your skills progress while practicing. Select from Normal, Fast, or Very Fast. Your pace, your rules. 👀

⚡ Needs Decay Rate
  • You now have control over how quickly your Needs; like Energy, Hygiene, Hunger, Toilet, and Mood drop over time.

🗺 Reveal the Full Map
  • Having trouble finding your way around Pixelia? You can now spend 250 Prestige Points from the Pause Menu to instantly uncover the entire map. Easy exploration, if that’s your thing!


A Final Note:

I’m incredibly grateful for all the feedback you’ve shared as it really helps shape the game. While a few bugs may have slipped by, don’t worry, we’re on top of them. Bugs can happen, but that doesn’t mean they’re here to stay. 🐞

I’ve also started working on optimization improvements to tackle the crashing issues some of you have encountered.

Lastly, if you’re enjoying To Pixelia and have a moment to leave a Steam review, it would mean a lot and help more people find the game.

Fixed a ton of script bugs thanks to Salvos on the Steam bug report thread, and one thanks to dudithebudi. Also, box objects of "animal" material no longer pulsate because it looked terrible, like AARFY's floor, but other shapes still do.

Finally, updated troubleshooting info regarding black screen and cursor on start-up, thanks to techno_will. If you see a black screen on startup, try these steps:
1) Turn off system frame limits.
2) Change video settings to "High performance Nvidia processor."
3) Try non-Steam version if all else fails.

Thanks to everyone leaving Steam reviews. 58 more to go and I will shut up about it.
