Check our bandcamp where you’ll be able to pre-order both ALBUM (by UNBEATABLE), and UNBEATABLE \[ost]. The former contains all of the vocal songs (WAITING! FAMILIAR! The songs from the trailers!), while the latter will contain the full score; all BGM, cop fight, and minigame tracks. If you already backed a tier in our Kickstarter / Slacker Backer campaign with the game’s soundtrack included, you will receive both releases, in full, on Day 1 - no additional purchase needed.

LISTEN TO OUR PERFORMANCE OF WORN OUT TAPES AT DAY OF THE DEVS

A labor of love between the sound team, listen to our performance of a brand new rendition of WORN OUT TAPES, which debuted at DAY OF THE DEVS: SUMMER GAME FEST 2025!

This new song is included as a part of our pre-order launch for the vocal album, and will also be available for listening on YouTube. If you’ve listened to UNBEATABLE: DEMO TAPES, you may be familiar with WORN OUT TAPES, but that version is a lot closer to the B-Sides we are doing for the final release. In truth, we had always planned on making a new version of WORN OUT TAPES that better reflected the game’s aesthetic changes, as the now named “\[tally-ho! version]” was developed all the way back in late 2018, before we had fully identified the direction we were taking with the game. With how much that’s changed since, we see WORN OUT TAPES as a full circle moment - one that really unites the early days of this project with what the game is today! Attached at the end of this post is the full MV credits.

You can download this new version of Worn Out Tapes as a pre-order bonus for UNBEATABLE: THE ALBUM. Soundtrack Backers will receive a download as a part of redeeming their pre-order key for the soundtrack. We’ll be sending these out starting the moment this post goes live - give it at least up to 24 hours for the keys to arrive. In the event they don’t make it to your inbox, reach out to dev@dcellgames.com with your backer details and we’ll get it fixed ASAP.

PLAY WORN OUT TAPES, from THE ALBUM, in the UNBEATABLE \[DEMO] BEGINNING JUNE 9TH

This new version of WORN OUT TAPES, as well as the original WORN OUT TAPES ( the “\[tally-ho! version]”), will be our new rotational songs for the DEMO, replacing both FUTURE PEOPLE and SLEEPING IN. You’ll have this weekend to get your final scores in for those two songs, before WORN OUT TAPES swaps in during Steam Next Fest!

These new charts were created by game producer CHI XU with the assistance of Cheryl Stelli.

Since this build has already been in the oven for a while, we have the patch notes for the version releasing, PATCH V1.6.1-DOTD - take a look at the changes we’re making on Monday!

PATCH NOTES
  • Sleeping In and Future People are replaced with WORN OUT TAPES and WORN OUT TAPES \[tally-ho! Version] in UNBEATABLE \[arcade mode]

  • You are now sent back to the \[arcade mode] menu rather than the main menu upon quitting a song in UNBEATABLE \[arcade mode]

  • A fix was made to the skybox shader in the rhythm game scenes - the sky is no longer gray in them!

  • You can now skip pre-rendered videos (which should allow people who are softlocked by this on certain devices to progress).

  • Subtitle Rendering was fixed.

THE FULL DEMO OST IS OUT ON YOUTUBE (and included with a pre-order of UNBEATABLE: THE SOUNDTRACK)

We’ve heard you! The full demo OST is now available to listen on YT, featuring all of the background music, minigame tracks, and miscellaneous extras not included in UNBEATABLE: DEMO TAPES, peak divide’s single releases, or the upcoming UNBEATABLE: THE ALBUM release. Note that the YouTube uploads for these tracks may not be final renditions of the songs, and are subject to change prior to release.

Rogue Cell - Maplelike Games
Version 1.1 Plans

Rogue Cell's release came with a lot of great feedback, and we've loved hearing it. You enjoyed the game; it's the perfect balance of short and sweet, it's got a lot of polish, it's incredibly relaxing, but you want just a bit more out of it. We get it! Rogue Cell might have started as a solo developer's portfolio piece, but why not make that portfolio piece just a bit bigger? So, with nothing better to do, we've started working on a Version 1.1 update that will bring a few quality of life improvements as well as a challenging New Game+ to attempt.

While we can't promise a specific date, we are aiming to have 1.1 published within the next week, so stay tuned for an update announcement.

NG+

New Game+ will unlock after completing the main game. It will crank up the difficulty and start you off in a very hostile environment, making you work for those DNA points. We don't want to give too much away and over-promise, as this feature is still being worked on, but we hope it will give you a satisfying challenge.

QOL + Bugs

For quality of life improvements? Well, that list is evolving, and if you have any suggestions or things you'd like to see added to version 1.1, please let us know!

No bugs have been reported yet, but if you do encounter anything funny or not working quite right, share your feedback and report bugs so we can fix them. For now, you can report bugs and feedback to contact@maplelike.com.

Hello everyone,

I’ve just updated the demo with several important changes, improvements, and fixes based on internal testing and player feedback. Here’s what’s new:

Major Changes

  • Progression Fix: Level-ups now trigger correctly and consistently.

  • New First Boss: The first boss has been changed from Arakne to the Maneater Boss.

  • New Enemy Added: Introduced a new standard enemy in Cheops – the Wild Boar. It’s faster than mummies but still goes down in one or two hits.

  • Cheops Level Layout Updated: The level has been made wider to improve movement and combat flow.

Balance & Gameplay
  • Luck Rework: Luck is no longer scaled in flat 1%–10% steps. It now influences XP and heart drop rates in a more balanced way.

  • New Upgrades Added:

    • One upgrade reduces the duration of night.

    • One upgrade reduces the duration of day.

  • Lighting Adjustment: The night phase is now brighter for better visibility.

Bug Fixes & Optimization
  • Fixed several issues with enemy interactions during dashing, especially cases where enemies would behave unpredictably.

  • Improved code performance across the board for better overall gameplay smoothness.


This update also includes various smaller fixes and tweaks not listed here. I'll continuing to fine-tune the demo, and your feedback is incredibly valuable!

Burrow Wing - Semxy

Now obviously you and your slightly heavier wallet are happy about this, soft product consumer. What about me though? Why would I do this?

I'm making more games, for one - I want the back catalogue priced like its a back catalogue. Burrow Wing was the first commercial product I've put out, and I love it dearly. A lower price means more people can play, and heightens the impact of my tiny little storefront here on the steam marketplace. I think the lower price also justifies some of the sharper edges and messy code in the game too, between you and me. A learning experience.

UI & UX Improvements
  • Purchase Amount Buttons: Buttons that change the quantity of item purchases now visually indicate the selected amount through color changes.

  • Menu Navigation: All menus, including the Escape menu, can now be closed using the Esc key for improved accessibility.

  • Item Star Ratings: Star level indicators for items have been replaced with more informative tooltip boxes for clarity.

  • Upgrade Buttons: Upgrade buttons now display the expected damage increase after leveling up an item. A full redesign of this system is planned for a future update.

  • Item Info Panel: Completely reworked with a larger layout, updated fonts, and improved coloring. Descriptions for each item are now included in this panel.

  • Offline Gain Menu: UI has been revamped, now featuring smoother animations upon activation.

  • "Click the Wizard" Menu: Interface has been refreshed to support new gameplay mechanics.

Gameplay Adjustments
  • "Click the Wizard" Mechanic: This mini-game now consumes Crystals per click for balance reasons. Players can toggle the wizard between active and paused states. The game will remember the wizard's state after closing and reopening.

  • Offline Gains System: Fixed an issue where earnings gained while offline did not affect Time Crystal (Respect) systems or weapon progression.

  • Item Purchase Interface: Completely redesigned for compactness and ease of use. Scrolling between weapons is now smoother and faster due to improved scroll ratios.

  • Gold Buff Calculations: Resolved issues with gold buff stats not displaying correctly in player statistics.

Bug Fixes
  • Error Message Spam: Fixed a bug where holding the purchase button would flood the UI with error messages each tick. Now, warnings are displayed at 1-second intervals.

  • Skeleton Upgrades Display: Addressed an issue where skeleton upgrade labels would disappear after a game reset.

  • Skeleton Health & Name Bug: Fixed a performance issue that caused skeleton names and health bars to render inconsistently or appear empty.

  • Lightning Wizard & Spawner Fonts: Text formatting and fonts for these entities have been corrected.

  • Weapon Level Scaling Bug: Fixed a bug that prevented level scaling based on weapon level after a timeline reset (Respect system).

New Features
  • Achievements: Achievements have been added to the game for additional progression tracking.

  • 2D Mode Background Behavior: Players can now choose whether resource protection in 2D mode continues while the game runs in the background.

  • Item Research System: Fully implemented and accessible for 1000 Chaos Crystals. Players can research and craft new items or upgrades from scratch using this system. Each crafted item increases the research cost, but mastery levels reduce the required production points. Only one research can be active at a time, and progress is only made while the game is open.

  • Update Info Menu: A dedicated in-game menu now provides details about the latest updates and changes.
