- Rivalries can be generated dynamically after matches, especially after important matches with at least one incident. You will receive a notification when a new rivalry is created.

- Generated rivalries are relatively rare. Usually there will be about 1 to 3 incidents per year if you run the default seven competitions.

- The intensity of each rivalry can fluctuate from year to year. If a rivalry's intensity drops too low, there's a chance it will be removed.

- There is now a dedicated section to list out all active rivalries. You can also edit or remove rivalries there.

  • 3 new conversation topics added

Updates:
  • The sexual violence trigger warning icon has been updated
  • You can now move the camera using the keyboard by pressing the up and down arrow keys
  • Game accessibility has been improved by reducing the need to switch between keyboard and mouse during conversations. You can now:
  • Press Space to skip to the next dialogue bubble
  • Press Ctrl + Enter to send the final message, then Space or Enter to confirm or cancel
  • The NPC in the first conversation is no longer always the fox
  • A new button has been added to return to the background selection screen when launching a saved conversation
  • Improved detection to reduce false positives during moderation
  • Various spelling corrections

Fixes:
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when running moderation mode with certain localizations or topics
  • Fixed a crash that could occur when playing the "Solitude" topic

We’ve been delighted reading your comments and reviews of Fireside Feelings: you’ve described your conversations with Spark as “therapeutic and healing” and we are glad that you created your own havens, making you feel safe enough to dive into some deep topics.

Three new topic packs, fully localised in the game’s six languages, are to be released during the course of the roadmap, along with a whole-new setting, and a new - and so far, unannounced - game mode.

The first of these topic packs, The Lost Messages, is available today and explores the things never said: conversations never started, messages left unsent, and notes left unfinished and will be accessible after the base game’s main experience is completed.


In addition to an upcoming deluxe version of the experience, which will include a delightful digital artbook and soothing soundtrack, Fireside Feelings will be coming to Steam for Linux and Mac, and become fully Steam Deck verified.

And because we wanted to give your more opportunities to talk to your heart's content, we’ve outlined our vision and roadmap for the upcoming months. Like all plans, it’s not set in stone and may evolve over time and so we would love to get YOUR input and feedback on it - please let us know how you feel about it in the comments!

We’ve reached a huge milestone: Deathground Alpha is complete! Our Alpha-pledged Kickstarter backers received their final Mission Debrief at the start of this month. They’ve been playtesting all available maps for the Early Access launch, one last time, before we head into our private Beta playtesting period.
