The Frost Orb is now live for Wizards, offering high burst and powerful crowd control. It trades blocking for mobility and shuts down melee with style. Alongside it:

Hello Founders!

As mentioned in an earlier post this week we are moving the game into the Early Access stage! With that move comes a pretty substantial update to the game as well! We have added a lot of new content and even a new game mode! For more details on these things please read below:

  1. Third Map: We have added a third map to the game! The new map is set in a city that has recently been hit by an apocalyptic event, causing you and the enemy cults to fight for control of the abandoned and empty city.

    • This map is different not only visually than the other two but also features an infinitely long but narrow road

    • This adds a new challenge for players that will require them to change how they play

  2. Cult Families by Map: We have made it so maps now only spawn certain families.

    • Each map now has two cult families assigned to it to pull enemies from

    • For bosses, the first two bosses only will spawn from the assigned families, but the final two bosses will be randomly chosen from all the other cult families

    • For the final boss, since we only have one currently, it will always spawn that one but once we implement more then this will be based on the map and families as well

  3. New boss: We have added a new boss for the chronically online family! For the longest time it only had one boss so this one has been planned for quite some time. It has many unique mechanics that are completely new so we hope you have fun.

  4. New game mode: We have added a 10 minute game mode!

    • This is a faster paced game mode that is more challenging to complete as enemies and bosses are spawning in more quicker

    • This mode is an alternative to the 20 minute game mode for when you want to play a quicker game and are on a time limit!

Some Minor Changes:

  • We have improved performance slightly for late game! We will continue to try to improve performance further in upcoming updates.

  • Fixed a game crashing bug when using lightning magic and taking the Arcane Mastery boss passive.

  • Some other minor fixes as well.

  • Added data to save files
  • Moved Gameplay Settings (Pirate toggle, asteroid speed toggle, manufacturing speed toggle) to only be present in pause menu.
  • Pirate on/off toggle is now max pirate level setting so players can play whole game with pirates remaining at X level or completely turned off.
  • Gameplay settings are now linked to the save file so each slot can have different pirate / asteroid / manufacturing values

  • Visual optimizations improving performance focused on shadow casting, improving batching and
    reducing triangle counts to optimize and speed up gameplay.

  • Reduced volume of extracted liquids for very large pools

Hello everyone,

I am happy to say that after months and months of work, High Above is getting ready to be played by you. But before I release the demo to the public, I thought that it might be a good idea to run a private playtest where I can test the upcoming demo with a smaller number of people. I want them to play it, poke it, see if the game plays well, makes sense, and most importantly, is fun!

Since you are one of the first people who followed High Above, it would be an absolute pleasure and honour to have you play the game first. To join the download queue and play the High Above playtest as soon as it’s available, just click the "Request Access" button on the game’s main Steam page.

The playtest will feature the Mediterranean-inspired rooftop theme. Just think of chilling out in Italian villages and small towns on a summer’s day.

Today, we're pushing a tiny update for Trombone Champ, which updates it to 1.26G!

Mod compatibility with 1.26G
This is a very small update, so we don't expect it to break anything that wasn't broken in 1.26F. But, if you rely on mods that are broken by this update, you can load the previous version of the game by right-clicking the game in Steam, going to Properties, choosing Betas, and then choosing the "last_update" beta branch. But please hop on the newest version as soon as you can!

Fixes:
  • Fixed issue where "The Trombone Champ Collection" tooltip would appear in the Track Select screen when starting a new game and forced to play "Warm-Up."
  • Added some additional code to the Steam Workshop uploader that should attempt to auto-delete a Workshop item if the upload fails. Previously, failed uploads could result in a blank item being added to the Workshop.
  • Added a tiny arrow to the Collections button in Track Select to make it appear more clickable.
  • Fixed metadata for "Taps" to display the correct song length.
