Great news everyone: Working with Valve, I was able to give all existing COSM owners access to 10k - it will be under "Applications". Please check it out if you have a VR headset!

I also lowered the price, but keep in mind new customers will not get 10k in addition to COSM.

I am working on trying to attach the application to the COSM release for all you early adopters, but I ran into a technical hurdle. I hope to get it resolved today so you all get your free copy.

For a long time now, my team and I had been working on adding ways for our users to create their own COSM content. Originally, when we had a full development team and high hopes for lots of Early Access sales, these were going to be part of the COSM release. Now, it's pretty much just me working on the development and it just wasn't feasible to make tools for both flat screens and VR, so we're launching them as a new VR-only application, titled "10k".

But don't worry, existing COSM owners will get a copy of 10k for free when it launches! And we do plan to keep updating COSM with content created with 10k - COSM will be the "view-only" version of 10k.

We are also still looking for beta testers, so please contact me if you're an existing user with either an Oculus Rift + Touch or a Vive and interested in the beta version of 10k. I'll be sending Steam Keys out shortly!

I am VERY excited that this thing is almost ready for people to use. We demoed it at VRLA in May, and people had a lot of fun using the tools (even with the bugs!).

Great news everyone, we are releasing the creation tools, where you'll be able import structures and datasets from the Protein Data Bank, Neuromorpho.org, Google Poly, and Quandl.com, as well as upload your own files (png/jpg, fbx and obj models, csv, pdb, swc). Again, thanks for your patience - we are a (very) small team, and the scope of this thing is huge.

Let me know if you want to be a beta tester, I'm going to put the beta build up for people to test in a week or two.

It's been a little over a year since our last update, and we've been spending that time retooling our visualization engine to give you a better VR experience, and more accurate molecular content.

We also added support for more data types, including MRI scans, and financial data sets from quandl.com. This will mean a lot more to you when we release our creator tools, but it's very exciting to be able to integrate so many different data types. We will update the non-VR versions within the next week or two.

Last, I just want to say: thank you so much for your support! We're a very small team making something with a huge scope, and the more people who download COSM, the more we can focus on development of this important project.

Hi everyone, we wanted to explain our delay in adding more content.
We updated to Unity 5.4 to take advantage of VR optimizations and features, but unfortunately the newest Steamworks API update that went along with that has introduced some bugs with the field of view zooming controls. We are actively trying to get a fix pushed through for that, or find a workaround.
New content is still coming, and we've been pushing forward with other areas of improvement for COSM as well. As soon as we have a build that is ready for you we will make another announcement!

Thanks again to everybody from the community for checking out COSM - Worlds Within Worlds. In fact, I can't thank you enough, but let's move on to the patch notes!

This patch applies only to the VR version. Standalone builds were not affected, but will also be receiving regular updates as needed.
