OVERVIEW

Over the course of the past few weeks, we have been experimenting with making the Arcade Mode more challenging and worthwhile to play. To this extent, we have introduced a few cosmetic pieces alongside 'modifiers' which can change the way you experience your dungeon adventure!





SCORE ADJUSTMENTS

Why use modifiers? Well, we have introduced a way to increase the number of points you get based on the difficulty of your experience! This will also mean that using something helpful will also lower the amount you gain.



QOL & BUG FIXES

- Enemy damage towards allies decreased
- Adjusted spawn positions of enemies in Tall procedural room

🛠 Patch Notes:

  • Fixed a bug that caused employees not to appear at their workstations during working hours.
  • Fixed a bug that caused vehicles to become non-interactive after an employee finished their work.
  • Fixed a bug that allowed pushing a vehicle out of the zone during an employee’s work.
  • Fixed an issue where the player could get stuck in the shed at the junkyard when trying to sell a vehicle.
  • Improved the junkyard’s appearance from a distance - missing visual elements have been added.
  • Fixed a bug that caused vehicles to levitate after loading the game. The fix may not apply retroactively, if a vehicle was levitating at the time of saving, it will continue to levitate until it is moved.
  • Fixed a bug where items from the repair machine would disappear if the player had only one machine.
  • Fixed a bug where the machine state duplicated, causing the player to lose items.

Azmar Quest - Text Based RPG - S-Games

The new 1.4.1 Azmar Quest update is now live!

• New Game Mode: Story Mode Plus. Replay the Story scaled to level 30 and powered up. Choose which progress to keep at the end.
• New Scroll: Master of Choices (unlocked after completing Story Mode+).

• Updated Bandit's model.
• Updated Vice's model.
• Toned down some language and encounters throughout the Story.

Hearth & Holmes - Abigail

Pictured above is Irene Adler being annoyed that you decided to publish the story 'A Scandal in Bohemia' without asking her. Below are the things that got done in the last two months.

May Progress

  • Linked up rewards and unlocks with events and cases, solidifying outline

  • Wrote discussions about Sherlock's family, Holmes and Watson using christian names, cocaine, and Holmes' health.

  • Wrote discussions about healthy coping strategies such as exercise, playing the violin, and talking to people.

  • Wrote options for gossiping about all of the other characters.

  • That was a freaking lot of writing.

  • Fixed button visibility error.

  • Designed animated text intro to case and time passing.

  • Redid how glows work to have fine control over them, which solve them triggering on loading the game.

  • Reloaded build to try to fix chronic issue with the Unity editor crashing. It did not. My life is misery and lamentation.

  • Fixed error where the @choiceBranch command was storing old text.

  • Went through first three months again, inserting animations and error-checking.

  • Wrote and implemented Moriarty-Debrief after Scandal in Austria case.

  • Wrote and implemented July default. Holmes thinks a cloud looks like a flamingo feather. This is taken directly from canon.

  • Finalized and inserted scene where Watson attempts to deduce something.

  • Redid some of the District case and tested it with new backend.

  • Improved checks about when case buttons should be active.

  • Improved book selection screen.

  • Did a bunch of housecleaning, deleting and compressing images in an attempt to make the deployment size small enough to fit in WebGL again.

  • Updated Itch.io page in preparation to be part of a bundle.

June Progress

  • Implemented Watson writing and publishing 4 short stories.

  • Wrote and implemented the fix stairs project.

  • Wrote and implemented Moriarty Game night.

  • Wrote and implemented Moriarty Math Lesson.

  • Implemented the bookstore and pawnshop being restocked.

  • Figured out how to make custom system variables.

  • Wrote and implemented intro to boxing case.

Unholy Village - vaultgamestr

After one year, Unholy Village will be removed from the Steam Store on July 18th.
