Rocksteady has confirmed an earlier Eurogamer report it is working on a Suicide Squad game.

In a tweet showing an image of a decrepit-looking Superman with a target on his head, the Batman Arkham developer revealed the Suicide Squad game will be announced on 22nd August, during the DC Fandome event.

In June, Eurogamer's Tom Phillips rubber-stamped a domain name-fuelled rumour that Rocksteady was working on a game centred on DC's Suicide Squad.

Warner Bros. is teasing the new Batman video game again, this time with another cryptic image published to social media.

The WB Games Montreal Twitter page published the image, below, which shows a third of the complete image.

Microsoft's catalogue of games available to Xbox Game Pass subscribers grows ever stronger this month with the addition of some genuinely top-drawer titles such as Batman Arkham Asylum and Arkham City, as well as Alien Isolation.

Rocksteady's first two Arkham adventures are quite possibly the best superhero games ever made, and they're both included in the Batman: Return to Arkham collection which arrives on Game Pass tomorrow, 21st February.

Joining them is the retro-futuristic Metroidvania Headlander, and the enjoyable Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.
