Armored Battle Crew [World War 1] - Tank Warfare and Crew Management Simulator - Gattai Games
Dear Tankers,
More British vehicles will be coming your way! Along with some update on some exciting WIP features!

Flying Elephant
Nope, It can't fly but given the size of the tank, it is indeed an elephant! Well armored, it can easily lead the charge right into any opposition!

Austin Armored Car
Why settle for 1 turret when you can have 2? This vehicle traded speed for more machine guns!

Mine and Dynamite Launchers
Having trouble dealing with enemy tanks or field guns? You will be able to equip all your vehicles with AT Mine, AP Mine or Dynamite Launchers in place of the default Smoke Grenade Launchers. Activate them via the steering panel and they will be tossed out from the rear of the vehicle.

You can be Picasso!
We expanded the WIP in-game terrain editor with the ability to paint textures (Sand, Mud etc) and paint 3D grass and flowers. Pretty neat!

Experimental AI Tank modules!
We are exploring on how to make fighting enemy tanks more than just a slug fest. Example, destroying modules will affect the performance of the tank (damaged engine will slow the tank, damaged ammo rack will slow the reload). AI tank will get more health but destroyed module will explode and do significant damage to the tank.
TLDR: Aim for modules to destroy enemy tanks more efficiently or Knock out the crews to disable it!

Dear Tankers,
We are very pleased to show you some of the very cool upcoming terrain editor tool features!

No Terrain is too ROUGH!!!

What can you do with the terrain editor tool?
You can easily sculpt the terrain using the brush with the mouse!

Adjust the height
Using the Height brush, you can elevate or depress the terrain. Great for giving you the height advantage or sending the enemy straight to hell.

Flatten the curve
Using the Flatten brush, you can set a height and paint the terrain to get a uniform height. Useful for making a bridge across the river without getting bitten by the crocodiles!

Smooth It
Got stuck on an uneven slope? No problem comrade, use the Smooth brush to smoothen out the rocky edges and you are good to go. You can try it out on your face too (result not guaranteed)!

Features that will be considered further down the road:
  • Paint the terrain (grass, mud etc)
  • Paint grass, flower
  • Place barbed wires, buildings, trees etc

Dear Tankers,

Sorry for the long wait! We have been busy working on adding new features to the Sandbox game mode (more sneak peek will come later in a separate article).

Today in the limelight will be the addition of the new whippet, Medium Mark B, to the game!

Be sure to restart Steam so that the patch (v0.2.6a) downloads.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Medium Mark B
To better exploit breaches in enemy lines, Medium Mark B was designed to be longer to aid in trench crossing and had larger fuel capacity. Unlike Mark A, the engine and fuel tank is located at the rear in a separate compartment.

Medium Mark B can be unlocked from his predecessor Medium Mark A Whippet.

Fitted with 7 gun ports, Medium Mark B packed some intense all-round firepower!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bug Fixes
- Improved tank steering on steep slope. Reduced sliding left/right when going up slope.
- Fixed inaccurate add on front armor (light and medium) on Mark IX.

Dear Tankers,
We are very pleased to announce the new upcoming sandbox game mode!

What is a sandbox game mode?
The sandbox game mode will be a new addition to the game on top of the current campaign and custom battle. It is a hybrid of a editor/battle system where you can edit the mission in editor mode before hitting the start button. Once you are done battling, you can stop and get back to the editor.

What are the main features?
The main features that will be in the first build are:
  • Deploy units for Player and Enemy faction
  • Wide range of units (Infantry, Crew served weapons, Tanks, Planes)
  • 3 Type of AI (Defender - Hold Position, Defender - Attack Victory Point, Assault - Attack nearest enemy)
  • Set Time of the battle (Dawn, Morning, Afternoon, Dusk, Night)
  • Set Difficulty (Easy, Medium, Hard)
  • Choose the player vehicle (All tanks created in the garage will appear as a dropdown list for selection)
  • Set the spawn point for player vehicle
  • Save/Load mission

Features that will be considered further down the road:
  • Able to switch faction (You can play on the side of enemy)
  • Able to deploy units of various nations
  • Place barbwires, mines, resupply points, buildings etc
  • Spawner to spawn units overtime
  • Simple editor for scripted events
  • Custom victory and defeat conditions
  • Steamwork integration to upload/download sandbox mission save files
