This week, in our Boot Camp series, we will explore everything related to operator customization. We will explain how it works and how to unlock it.

Customizing.

Now, let's take a look at how to customize your operator. The process is simple, but we'll walk you through it.

 

Remember, when customizing your operator, the hitbox remains the same. Thinner operators have no advantages in this regard, and bigger clothing does not slow you down. The helmet shape and size does not matter, the helmet hitbox covers your entire head. As long as you have headgear equipped, your loadout’s armor will protect you. So with this in mind, be free and go wild!

Customizable Items

In WW3, you customize several aspects of your operators. 

  • Head

  • Headgear

  • Facewear

  • Facepaint

  • Chest

  • Pants

  • Gloves

  • Bodypaint

  • Arm Patch

  • Flag Patch

  • Sentence Patch

  • Voiceover

  • Camouflage for clothing

Obtaining Customization

To start with, you have 3 loadouts. Each of these carries a different set of customization items, which you can mix in any given character slot. However this will be a little limited, so let’s look at how to unlock new items.

First, you can obtain some free items via achievements. Upon obtaining 500 kills in Moscow, Berlin, or Warsaw in Tac Ops, you will obtain an operator blueprint, one for each map where you achieved 500 kills. You can find these achievements in Career -> Achievements -> Events -> Local Advancements. In addition to this free option, there are occasional silver currency blueprints being added to the shop. You can obtain this currency by doing weekly challenges or completing achievements.

Secondly, you can obtain operator blueprints from the in-game or launcher shops. And of course, by purchasing the battlepass and completing the necessary tiers, you will unlock even more operator customization via blueprints.

Once you gain an operator blueprint, they will become available to use from your list of operators. But more importantly, each item that’s included in the operator can now be used to customize your own. You’ll be able to use all of the components that the operator came with, i.e. the helmet, the arm patch, the voiceover, the pants, etc. Obtaining a certain camouflage for a certain piece of clothing will let you color that piece of clothing with that camouflage. In essence, each operator is an expansion to your catalog of customization.

Lock, load, and move like never before. This update brings a major overhaul to ranged combat, giving you more speed, control, and tactical depth on the battlefield.

Here's what's new:
  • Reworked Shooting Mechanics

    Shooting is now faster and snappier, allowing for more responsive and satisfying gunplay.

  • Move While Shooting

    Mobility is key, you're no longer rooted in place while firing. Dash, move, and reposition without interrupting your attack.

  • Updated Projectile FX

    Every shot now feels (and looks) better. All projectile visual effects have been updated for a cleaner, more impactful experience.

  • Rifter Sidearm Overheat

    The Rifter’s pistol now features an overheat mechanic. Firing too rapidly will cause it to overheat, temporarily disabling the weapon until it cools down. You can also upgrade your overheat bar at checkpoints, so don't panic!

Adapt, react, and fire at will. The battlefield just got a whole lot more dynamic!

即便看不见碑文,也会有某个存在帮助主角诵读它们。

碑文得到解读后,便可以发挥灵感,填补空缺,将“话语”补全。

*这篇碑文记述了某个天体。没有眼睛的主角,只能以此种形式觉察“祂”的存在。

自然律法、记忆、习俗……那些没有实体的记载,却着实存在着的“话语”。

在这个动荡的时代,它们也不再完整。

如果能将其补全,那些残缺的也会得到复原吗?

This week, we continued adding more production units and spent time tweaking and testing them. We also introduced additional materials, such as coils and blooms, to make metal production behave more like real-life manufacturing.

In addition, we added a company manager feature that allows you to manage multiple companies and switch between them. This means you can finally start new companies while still being able to return to your older ones if you wish.

Before this update with all the new production features goes to beta, we plan to release another hotfix to address a few issues related to the tutorial and some crash fixes. If everything goes according to plan, the new production system should enter beta shortly after that hotfix.

From everybody here at Payload Studios we would like to say a big thank you to all the players who have downloaded the TerraTech Legion demo over the last few weeks. Over 50k players have jumped in and played the demo and we have been blown away by the reception (it has received over 40k wishlists). We also truly appreciate the reviews, good and constructive, as well as the feedback you have been leaving on Discord and Steam

We have some good news. We won’t be removing the demo and you will be able to play it all the way up to release (we may even update it with some shiny new things in the coming months). Here is a little taste of what we are planning for the full release:

Fixes:
  • Fixed an issue where items in inventory may not be visually removed after selling them to a vendor.
New:
  • Reduced global log size to 125(this was taking more performance than we liked when visible.
  • Logs will now hide when inventory is hidden. If logs were visible while inventory was closed, would still cause a performance impact.
  • Reduced cost of "The One Ring" from shop to 650k base.
  • Updated the look of some cliff rocks. They should be less "blurry" when up close.

This Pre-Alpha demo build of Rogue Point is not the final product. One of our aims with Steam Next Fest was to see what players thought about the game's systems, to allow us to make necessary changes and improvements before our Early Access release.

We always wanted to make Rogue Point with community feedback in mind, and an important step towards that goal was to get the game into your hands early in development. As developers, we work so closely to the game that sometimes we struggle to see the forest through the trees. It's one of the most important things we learned from the release of Black Mesa - our community is a valuable source of new ideas and fresh perspectives

We've received a wealth of useful community feedback in Steam discussions, the Crowbar Collective Discord and in our dedicated feedback website. And while we're still going through a lot of it, we would like to say thank you again to everyone who took the time to leave feedback! We hope that you'll all be very happy with the state of Rogue Point when we get to release!
