Updated to the latest Fix branch version to deal with any potential engine bugs.

Biography/Character Profiles

Rewrote this section a bit. Before, there were 95 rpyc that were used only once and stayed in memory. I have reduced this to one JSON that is read once and put into objects. This should help with some of the initialization time because part of it is loading all the rpycs into memory.:)

Kimmy in the Gym with the Werewolves
  1. If there is only one who may go after Kimmy, it will only show that.

  2. Fixed an issue where it would play the last video (and may affect other areas that would have this type of issue).

N1 Josh Scene

A bug was introduced where it couldn't find an image. This was due to a space in dictionary (Python sees "Python is great" and "Python is great " differently, so this was the cause of the problem. Space had been deleted, and now it plays without an issue.

Translations Not Working in Menus

I have change screen navigation (which has the begin, continue, etc) so that they are translated. :)

Great news! We have been hard at work on the upcoming steam demo and it even has a release date! We will launch the demo next week on the 23rd of July!

If you have played the prototype version on itch you might wonder what is going to be different in the Steam Demo. We actually overhauled it quite a lot:

  • The balancing has been dramatically improved

  • New prestige mechanic and a talent tree

  • 9 unlockable talent points that have a significant impact on the gameplay

  • Achievements (only in-game, we will have proper Steam achievements in the full game)

  • New upgrades

  • New sprites, icons and animations

  • A bunch of crazy hats for the helpers

  • More languages! We support 15 languages now; this wouldn’t have been possible without the help of our amazing discord community, thank you all so much! If anyone finds an error in the localization, please let us know

  • Controller support

  • Steamdeck support

  • Twitch integration (You can have the helpers be named like people in your twitch chat and spout random chat messages)

  • Customizable table cloth

Next some good news, that probably nobody besides us devs cares about haha: We made it to 30k Wishlists and are moving steadily towards 40k! Thank you all for following us and contributing so much to the development of the game! We are going to run out of coin rain GIFs soon :D

And finally, let me share some visuals of new features:

As I mentioned above, you can now customize your table cloth, Greenpixels recorded a short video explaining the feature. We have already seen some really fun community designs in our discord!

This is the first glimpse at the underlying lore of the game, it’s the animation that plays when players reset the game to start a new prestige run

And here are two GIFs of upcoming mechanics (they are still “work in progress” and won’t be in the demo though), nothing out of the ordinary, just what you would expect from a game about flipping coins:

Cataclysm: The Last Generation - wormywormgirl
  • Fixed an issue with rocks, arrows, and similar items not fitting in vehicle spaces properly.
  • Fixed an issue with the above not respecting multipickup/multidrop.
  • Fixed an issue with pickaxes throwing error messafes.
  • Perception now contributes 7% more to your night vision radius.
  • Updated chargen to show more and better information in the helptext for stats.
  • Made some items (makeshift bandages, coffee, tea, cigarettes, joints, basic food items, clean water) craftable regardless of how bad your morale gets. This should make addiction withdrawals slightly more bearable.
  • Fixed some inconsistencies with longcoat coverage.
  • Monsters now take less damage from fire and more damage from falls.
  • Zombies are no longer immune to being blinded by tear gas, though it will not stun them.
  • Updated monster acid armor to properly defend against the corroding damage from splash attacks. Generally speaking, robots have a lot of acid armor, kevlar/etc. zombies have quite a bit, arthropods have some, and skeletal zombies have a little. In most cases, this is not outright immunity, just reduced duration and potency.
  • Fixed a ton of quests which were failing to spawn objectives, were auto-completing due to a bad date comparison, or had similar minor issues.
  • Fixed the spawns for most scenarios. This includes adding improved spawn conditions for things like Car Crash as well as removing the ice/frozen labs from the lab start scenarios, as these were generally not survivable.

- Improved the leaderboard saving system.

Now you just have to launch the game, and you can see on each season the good score

3. Select the "Betas" tab on the left.
4. In the "Beta Participation" dropdown menu, select pup_july.
5. The build will begin downloading—once complete, you are ready to play!
