🆕 New Features

• A log file is now generated when a save file becomes corrupted, with a message shown in the console. (Please forward the log to the developer.)

• Customers will now leave the Protein Counter after waiting for 1 hour.

• Custodians now reliably return shopping baskets.

• A subtle "tick" sound plays when new console messages appear.

🐞 Bug Fixes

• Fixed a crash when loading certain save files.

• Resolved an issue where Cart Corrals could corrupt save data.

• Cashiers no longer get stuck when returning baskets to a full stand.

• Addressed bugs related to selling Cart Corrals and Basket Stands.

• Fixed shift schedule issues, including employees not ending their shifts.

• Manager will no longer freeze if saved while helping a cashier.

• Resolved an invisible cart getting stuck in the player’s hands.

• Save file date now loads correctly and no longer resets.

• Selling a Protein Counter now removes it as expected.

⚖️ Balancing

• Store expansion costs reduced.

• Cash register conveyor speed increased by 100%.

• Vehicle speed increased by 30%.

🔧 Improvements

• The Employee Management and Hire Cashier tasks now auto-complete if already unlocked in the Progress Tree.

• Fixed various spelling errors throughout the game.

The replay version of the player is being overhauled to be a 1:1 recreation of all of your actions! Dives, rolls, slides, dropkicks, and reloads will all now show up in the replay just how you did them.

Gun muzzle effects and smoke have also now been updated to show up in the replay! Finally your replays will start to feel like a real full detail action scene. Make John Woo proud with choreographing your own ballistic shootout.

Both of the above clips were recorded in-game with the free cam mode during replay!

With all of the updates to the replay player, I couldn't resist adding a proper third-person mode to the game! Soon you will be able to experience all of Maximum Action from a whole new perspective. And of course workshop weapons are supported as well!

Maximum Payne Maximum Action

Progress on 2 new levels. The Jungle rework and sequel. As well as Arctic 2

The tank boss fight sequence in Jungle is being reworked to be a more dynamic and destructive! I designed a new AI and locomotion system for the tank where it will naturally crest and roll over the terrain and crash through objects.

New runway section work in progress!

Andy (OptionalSpace) has been hard at work on the runway section of Arctic 2! Lots of new destructible walls and an improved layout. Our goal is to make the runway one of the most climactic set pieces in the game.

New particle effects and destruction. A new spark effect and a whole new optimized particle driven destruction system is coming soon. Even small objects like bottle and cups will dynamically react to your bullets.

Better controller support and SteamDeck Verification in the works. When playing with a controller proper glyphs will now show up throughout the game. The controller re-binding menu has been reworked to also show the glyphs and work much more consistently.

Even some controller support has been added to the editor!

UI has been fixed to better support 4:3 16:10 and ultra-wide monitor resolutions! Play the game in 4:3 for the true arcade experience.

Localization! The Simplified Chinese localization is also still in the works and more language support is coming soon.
