Happy 2011 from Audiosurf-land! This week we've got some upbeat rock from the UK's Heifervescent. These songs remind me of sitting around watching Brady Bunch reruns where Greg wants to be a rock star--the lyrics suggest there's nothing more to worry about than which girl to take to Friday night's dance, or arguing over who's got the dreamiest eyes. I like it.

"Magnetized" and "Superglue" have the thickest traffic. "What's this all about?" has a 70s pop feel to it, and "Lunar Module" is the most laid-back of the bunch.

Happy holidays from Audiosurf-land! We've got a few spiced-up holiday tunes to entertain you this week from J.E.L.L.i. If you've ever wondered what a punk version of "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer" would sound like, then you're in luck. And you've got to appreciate a version of "The 12 days of Christmas" that's sung so incredibly fast it's done in 4 minutes.

And then we end things a little more calmly, with a holiday piano composition by Torley called "Celebrate Every Day."

Ooh, I can't get enough of epic guitar music. So in that spirit, this week on Radio we present to you some mega-epic tracks from Oleg Serkov.

L.E.O. is a blur of curvy red tunnels the whole way through. "Way of warrior" is a gentler ride with a strong pulse that's still plenty epic.

This week on Radio we're featuring some Makina, which is a new genre for me. It originated in Spain, and it's like really fast bubbly techno/trance with chipmunk-like vocals thrown in. I'm not sure what's up with the chipmunks, but they start to fade in the background of the driving pulse of these rides.

We start off with Prana Yama's "Convicted" and its 251 traffic count. For me, the pounding bass of "Call me back" was balanced by its happy ecstatic parts. "Beautiful Girls" is almost 8 minutes long with plenty of hills and valleys. I enjoyed the "cyclone" sound effects for these.

Woo-hoo! It's J-Pop week on Radio! Phrenia's tunes will put you in the mood to fight some giant robots.

Then for our experimental song of the week, we have some Spanish/Jewish/Middle Eastern fusion from Ofri Eliaz. I was really surprised at what a good ride "Ir me kero madre" was.
