Hey, folks! We're super excited to unveil the launch of Devespresso's official Discord server. Yes, we know we're late to the party...but better late than never, right?

First off, we want the Devespresso Discord to be a place where you can just relax and chat. We're still in the early stages of establishing things, so your opinions can have a big impact on how we establish the community and its roles.

In addition, we've crafted an exclusive set of sweet Vambrace and Coma emoji just for our channels. Take a gander at this very small sampling of what's on offer!



The team is also super active on Discord, so it's also a good opportunity to speak directly to us, ask questions, or just talk about the game with other like-minded players.

Vambrace: Cold Soul - Saint Leica


Greetings, fellow Adventurers! Team Devespresso here with yet another QOL update for Vambrace: Cold Soul. So, what's new?

Inventory
There were a number of inventory related bugs. This patch solves almost all of those issues.

Fast Forward Traps
You may now Fast Forward the results of Trap Encounters by holding the Shift Button.

Item_Move Key
A new function for moving items has been added to the inventory. Simply click the item and press the Shift key. Click anywhere else and press E to move the item there.

The Traitor Outcome Item
An item in your room was supposed to be updated following Chapter 6's conclusion. That has now been fixed.


Renamed Items & General Text Updates
We decided to rename the ultimate relic to Voltek Slug. This is due to its unique properties which actually makes it a more valuable item. The new item, on the other hand, has been renamed "Metal Slug." The Ultimate relic's graphic was also updated to reflect these changes. Furthermore, SystemText has been updated along with the stat changes for those relics. Skill names are fixed at the English one as well. Main Text has also been polished.

Credits
Norihiko Hibino has been credited for his amazing engineering work on the Vambrace original game soundtrack.

Hideyuki Sakurai of Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. has also been credited for his work on the game's distribution in Japan.

Boss Slot Number:
Some people may have noticed that Septhis's slot number said "II" instead of "III" in the final fight. Well, this wasn't actually a mistake. His portrait was simply blocking one of the numerals. We fixed that.

Lyric Skin Glitch
Some of Lyric's costumes, especially the 'Ghost Vigilante Uniform' had some odd animation glitches. Minho made some changes here, with her ankle and skirt so we hope that fixes all the costumes.

Comrade Campfire Dialogue
Missing Dialogue was discovered for one of the comrades. This has been restored.

Several additional dialogue glitches were also fixed.

Hey everybody, Team Devespresso here with a special announcement!

We’ve been especially encouraged by the passion the community has shown for Vambrace’s characters, story, and art. We also adore fan art! That’s why we’re announcing the first official Vambrace art contest. We want to encourage everyone to submit their work for consideration. Don’t be shy…really! We love it all! The only basic rule is that the art has to follow basic community post guidelines. It can be anything related to Vambrace.

From the art we gather, our team will choose two submissions. Another 2 submissions will be chosen by the community through voting.

👍 = 1 point.
A comment = 2 points.

The comment points are regardless of content and they cannot be made by the original artist.

The prize will be your choice between a Steam Key for Vambrace: Cold Soul or Vambrace: Cold Soul Original Game Soundtrack. More information about the soundtrack can be found here. Your prize may also be gifted to a friend.

The contest will run until July 9th so, until then, be sure to upload your work in the Artwork section of the Community Hub.

To everyone who has waited patiently for the past two weeks, Version 1.08 is now live!

This patch represents our effort to parse through objective community feedback and implement changes that will definitely enhance the overall player experience. Since launch, we have prioritized listening to the amazing perspectives our players have brought forward. After all, there are some issues that are best solved from exactly that type of input.

Adjustable Difficulty

When we started making Vambrace the objective was to create an extremely punishing but fair game. We wanted to balance it in such a way that players had a genuine sigh of relief when they managed to make it through a neighborhood. We received feedback that early versions subjected players to the whims of RNG a little too much. After that, we rebalanced encounters and enemy stats for a friendlier learning curve.

The good news is that now you can have your cake and eat it too. This version has 2 difficulty levels: Standard & Cold Soul. Standard difficulty represents the patched difficulty that was much easier from what players experienced before and at launch. Cold Soul is the definitive experience with more combat encounters, tougher enemies, and a faster Geistometer.

New Skills

ALL characters now come with 3 skills. 2 default skills & 1 randomized skill. This means that the 3rd skill will vary from hire to hire. Maybe you hired a new recruit with a particularly awesome combination of skills. Now you’ll have to think twice about letting him/her go. It also significantly varies the tactics you can use in combat. You can still craft relics to alter your Ultimate Flourish for even more variety in combat.

New Flourish System
With the addition of multiple flourishes, we’ve also implemented a new point based system for these skills. Characters will have a default of 5 Flourish points to spend. Each Flourish skill has a different Flourish Point cost, so be sure to check that out before you use them. This also adds a new layer of tactics to combat as you weigh what skills to use and how to build points for future attacks.

New Monster Type System

Creatures will now come in 7 varieties. Certain skills will have bonuses against these creature types. Their type will be indicated in the icon below their portrait. The basic types are as follows:

Flesh: Weak against some melee skills.

Wraith: Weak against some Magick skills.

Blood: Weak against some Hedge skills.

Hedge: Weak against some Blood skills.

Tek: Weak against Grenades and bullets.

Archonic: Weak against Lyric.

Shade: No weaknesses.

New Items

To accommodate the new skills, we’ve altered existing Relics and have also added some new ones to the mix. Every character class will have a special relic that enhances their specific skill. This Ultimate Flourish can be upgraded two levels.

Bugs & Text
We’ve also worked diligently to smash a variety of bugs and correct any text issues we managed to catch as well. Perhaps our favorite “minor” bug to fix was the inventory cursor issue.

Hey everyone!

It’s been some time since we last spoke. We’re coming hot off of E3 and nearing the conclusion of our tests for the next big update. So, I’m dropping by with some news and a few teasers for what’s headed your way next week.

Steam Cards, Badges, & Profile Backgrounds
Some of you may have already noticed that Vambrace trading cards have just gone live. There are 15 basic cards to collect and a pretty sweet foil Aetherbrace badge waiting to be attained. We hope this enhances your Steam experience. In addition to that…

Big Update Incoming!
There’s a great deal we’ve been chomping at the bit to share for 1.08. We wanted to make sure we spent enough time testing things before we made any official announcements. I’m excited to say we’re happy with the current state of these new developments.

Since the game’s launch, we’ve made a huge effort to assess feedback from the community. We prioritize objective ideas that we believe stays true to the spirit of the game’s original design intents AND enhances player experience. Something we’ve noted from both positive and negative reviews is that many players would have liked more “depth” to the combat system.

Perhaps, what the community will find more surprising is that our early designs had features that were intentionally left on the cutting room floor to maintain a minimalist combat system. We are revisiting some of those features and adding a lot of new content to balance things out.

Features
-An enhanced point based flourish system
-3 default skills per character with enhanced skills from Relics
-New recruits have a randomized skill
-10 new relics that can be crafted or haggled from merchants.
-Monster Types which yield bonuses or penalties in combat
-Adjustable difficulty levels in the options
-A new monster, varied formations, and teams
-Rebalanced stats for enemy encounters
-Finally, a fix for the dreaded teleporting inventory cursor!

The result is a more robust combat system that requires a deeper level of tactics. However, it doesn’t compromise our original design intents and feels like a natural extension of the game. More details about each to come with the next patch.

Vambrace: Cold Soul - Saint Leica


Hello, friends! Tris here with an all-new update for patch 1.07.

New Relics!
All new unique faction relics have been added for Lyric. They can be unlocked by successfully completing Faction quests.

Fix
Sitara was difficult to find for some people. So, she is easier to find after the Chapter 6 Boss fight.

English Script
Various typo fixes, some monsters have been renamed, and some general polish work has been done.

Korean Script
A great deal of polish and changes to the Korean script.

Industrial District Bug
Some players reported a bug in which returning to the Industrial District after Chapter 5, passing Thrain and entering combat caused a bug. This has been fixed.

Isabel Bug
There was a bug that caused the game to crash in the final fight if you “guarded” with Isabel. This has been fixed.

New Shelter
A new Shelter was added after the Overseer/Thrain encounter.

Chapter 5 “Backdoor”
During the Sack of Dalearch, the Naziri Camp now has a backdoor to allow players to go back to Gerrard and sell their overstocked items.

Teaser:
There are some pretty big updates in the pipeline…and I mean it when I say this is a pretty big deal. I can’t make an official announcement yet with any details because we are still exploring our options for this, but stay tuned for more updates.

Vambrace: Cold Soul - Saint Leica


Version 1.06 is here and with it comes some much-anticipated features and a few fixes.

New Game +
The biggest feature this build has to offer is our addition of a New Game +. Access to it will be revealed to those who complete the game. This feature will allow players to complete the game faster in order to unlock missed costumes and new endings.

Only read the line below if you’ve already completed the game.

Pay special attention to the end game epilogue scene for a clue about how to reach New Game +

Hedge Mage
After listening to community feedback, we revisited the Hedge Mage and tweaked some of her stats. We believe the new build yields a companion that will be a true asset to your team in the icy wastes. Some of her changes include:

-Recovery now heals Target ally for Health +2.
-Her Flourish points charge faster.
-Healing Light now heals target ally for Health +3, That Ally gains +1 Health per turn for 3 turns.
-Life Fusion, a relic skill gained from the Amulet of the Matriarch, now heals target ally +4 Health and receives Super Rejuvenation status for +2 Health per turn for 4 turns.

Bullion Chips
Combat drops now include Bullion Chips in varieties of copper, silver, and gold. These hold no practical use, but they can be traded with merchant for hellion.



Haven Closet & Bed
For those who completed Chapter 5, a closet and bed are now immediately available in Haven so you can rest. You may also rest at the Lost Lady Inn in the ruins of Dalearch.

Skip Tutorial
If you are a player who has already cleared the tutorial, this option will appear. Technically, not a new feature but we're letting you know it exists.



Fast Forward
A tutorial graphic has been added to show players they can speed up combat with the Shift button.

Fixes
-A bug with the Arcaster’s eye has been fixed.
-Various lines of broken dialogue, typos, etc. have been fixed.
-All-Mother’s Rosary has been removed from the tutorial.

Steam Cards
A full collection of Steam cards are in the process of being approved.

Outro
As always, we’re still discovering stray issues with dialogue, and the odd broken line of text here or there. We appreciate the help of everyone who’s been sharing this feedback on the discussion boards.

One Serving of Replayability, Coming Up!

Ask, and you shall receive! Well, not always. We are just human after all. Some of us, anyway. The verdict is still out on Minho who may be more machine than man (at the rate he's working). But I digress...

What could make this game better, you ask? More replayability, you say? You're absolutely right! As such, we're adding our very unique take on a New Game + mode in the upcoming 1.06 Patch. We're sure you're all gonna get a kick out of this. More details to come.

Also, Steam Cards. Yes, they're coming very soon. Please hang tight!

But that's not all. We'll also be adding a special new loot drop that will be sure to spice up those combat encounters.

If I may be allowed to indulge in an excuse for any lingering issues...

Between the 4 of us (at Devespresso) there is a lot of ground to cover for a game of Vambrace's scope. Also only 24 hours in a day. (Darn it!)

The important point is that we're LISTENING. I can't emphasize how important the community's feedback is. It has been absolutely essential in helping us bring Vambrace closer to the best version of itself that it could possibly be. Step by step, we'll get there.

Your insight is super valuable. We appreciate the efforts of those who continue to notify us of any oversights we've made (bugs, broken text, etc.). We'll do our best to patch those up ASAP.
