Here’s a mega-bummer. The video game creators behind a small indie horror game called FAITH have gone through a hard time. They made a very MS-DOS based spooky scare game that would be a real fun experience for you to engage with right now, and they bundled it with some other retro horror titles. Unfortunately, they had to do so quickly as a fundraiser because their dog was just attacked, and this is an immediate fundraiser to help save a tiny pupper’s life.

Tell me that for 1.79 I can finish a pretty cyberpunk point ‘n’ click ‘em up within half an hour and I’ll say “Ooh you’re twisting my cyberarm, go on then!” So this morning I bought Murder [official site], the newly-released latest from Stranded designer Peter Moorhead and pals. It’s the tale of a Tokyo futurecop investigating, obvs, a murder, and it… is not a game I liked. But I’ll mention it because I know some of you were anticipating Murder, because it only cost me 1.79, and because I can think of far worse ways I might’ve spent that half-hour – are you familiar with ‘shower snotting’?

Altis Life is a roleplaying mod for Arma 3 [official site], featuring police, ambulance crews and outlaws. We sent Brendan deep into one of the UK servers to see what the populace is up to.

Hank receives a message. Raise your altitude or be shot down . Before either of us have time to consider it, we can hear the telltale crack of gunfire beneath us. Hank lifts the helicopter higher and higher until the gunshots ebb away. We are flying high over the orange streetlights of Kavala now, over the main street of the town, the bank, the fishmongers, the pub. I turn to Hank. Was that the police shooting at us?

Yeah, he says, hand on the stick, that was small arms fire.
