The Aspects are a great choice for players who enjoy focusing on their own economy more than fighting their enemies, as the Coral can help them explore the world and expand their cities, and they can employ some unique diplomatic interactions. Of course, they can go to war if necessary, but the Aspects will do best when they live in harmony with other Empires, minor factions, and the Coral.

We have big news to share with you today: Amplitude is going indie again 🎉

Our journey with SEGA over the last 8 years has been amazing, and we have learned so much working with them, but now we are returning to our roots as an independent studio. With ownership of the studio returning to some of our original founders and members of the team, the creative vision of our games and the Endless universe rests in the hands of those who know them best. While we are going our separate ways now, we part on good terms and wish our friends at SEGA the best for all their future projects.

Today's hotfix should resolve the crashes on launch experienced by players using certain intel chips, especially on Windows 11.
We want to thank all of you who reported this issue, and especially the people who shared detailed information, suggested workarounds, and confirmed whether they are working.

Amplified may be coming to an end, but there's still time to talk about the Endless! Space, Legends, and Dungeons, you name it, we got it all for you today:

No, that's right, we got not one, but two versions of the official Auriga Map for you! We're here to celebrate Amplitude Studios: 11 years, 5 games, and an amazing community! Over the next few days, we'll be adding more rewards to Games2gether for all of you to enjoy, hang out with you and our guests on Twitch, and even pose a couple of challenges to you!


Speaking of challenges, like almost every year, we are holding another Community Challenge for the duration of Amplified: From now until Monday, January 24th, 7PM CET, every match you start in Humankind, Endless Legend, or Endless Space 2 will count towards unlocking additional Humankind rewards for all players. The first reward is a set of player emblems inspired by African cultures, and further rewards will be revealed as we get closer to unlocking them. The final two rewards in particular are quite interesting. All rewards unlocked in this community challenge will be added to the game when they are ready at a later date.


In the meantime, we have several other rewards for you to enjoy:

The beautiful Amplified keyart is available in various formats for use as a wallpaper, from your desktop to your phone or perhaps your social media banners. This time, we even have an animated version for your phone!

At Amplified back in late January, we announced 2 new DLCs for the Endless Universe games, Monstrous Tales for Endless Legend and Dark Matter for Endless Space 2. Unfortunately, we had to shift their release back twice for various reasons, but today both DLCs are ready to be played, alongside some new free content!



So, what do you get with Monstrous Tales?

A heap of new quests exploring the fantastic inhabitants of Auriga (and often allowing you to play with content from other DLC even if you don’t own it)! Chase a majestic Skyfin or capture a mighty Guardian to place them in your service. Face the indomitable golems of the Kapaku. Aid a Vaulter archeologist in uncovering the past of Auriga, and its connection to the stars. This, and more, awaits you in over a dozen new stand-alone quests and a new short multi-chapter quest with stunning new art.

For the release of this new DLC, pretty much all other Endless content is 75% off, so if you are missing anything in your collection, now’s a great time to grab it!



Even if you don’t pick up the new (or any of the old) DLCs, we still got some new content for you to enjoy: The first official Auriga map!

Have you ever wondered what the lands of Auriga look like, where the different factions found their homes, and who their immediate friends or foes might be? Now you can explore this yourself by selecting the “Auriga” scenario in the Generation Presets when creating a new game. However, this map is of course still only an approximation, limited in fidelity by the tiles and features available to us in Endless Legend, and restricted to the vanilla features so everybody can enjoy it regardless of DLC owned.

However, we are already working on another version of this map to share with you later!




Have fun with the new content!

Today we want to share some news about the Monstrous Tales and Dark Matter DLCs that some of you may have already guessed at: 

We are moving the release date of these DLCs to May 6th. 

Why would we move the release date again, if we have already moved it once for the sake of bugfixing? This decision is not just about polishing, though we continue to do so as we test the new quests with our VIPs. We also want to be able to deliver some (anticipated) content to be released alongside the DLCs. 

In particular, here’s what we’re working on for Endless Legend for the free patch that accompanies the release: 




Community Patch Bugfix Integration 

Many of you probably know of the Endless Legend Community Patch, and indeed some of you have asked us before to integrate it into an official patch. For those of you who have not heard of it before, here’s the gist: The Endless Legend Community Patch (or ELCP for short) is an ambitious modding project, spearheaded by LeaderEnemyBoss, aimed at addressing bugs and improving balancing and AI in Endless Legend (you can learn more about it in our Community Spotlight on the project). The scope and quality of the mod are exceptional, and it is quite popular with many players, and we have even used it on stream ourselves. 

LeaderEnemyBoss has kindly agreed to let us integrate his work in an official patch. While we will not be merging the whole suite of the ELCP into the official version, we have been able to add several of his bugfixes from the ELCP to the upcoming patch, like fixes to a few quests or to a serious issue with Urkans and defeated factions. Of course, we will share a full list of these fixes when the patch releases alongside the DLC. 


Auriga Map 

The Endless Galaxy is full of ancient wonders, and many of our players are always eager to learn more about it, explore it in new ways, or even add to it with their own projects. From discussions and speculation on the forum to entire pen and paper RPG projects, we constantly see players looking for deeper knowledge of the Endless, and the geography of Auriga is probably among the top contenders for “most requested information about the Endless Universe.” Since the wonders of Auriga are a major theme of the Monstrous Tales DLC, we have decided that rather than simply giving you a map, we will instead create a fixed map for Endless Legend, so you can explore Auriga yourself! 

Based on a sketch made by Jeff many years ago, this scenario presents the definitive map of Auriga (and if you’ve ever asked Jeff a lore question, you know how hard getting a definitive answer from him can be.) On it, you will find many places you have heard about before in quests or other descriptions, but also locations our community has never heard about before. We hope you’ll enjoy exploring Auriga, and look forward to any new discussions and projects this might inspire. 





We hope that all of you will enjoy this new and updated content that will be added in the patches accompanying these DLCs, and will have fun exploring the mysteries of Auriga and the Endless Universe in the new quests of Monstrous Tales and Dark Matter.
