Fixed an issue that could cause disconnection after generating zombies or hitting zombies

After the last update, some players reacted to the problem that the client will be dropped when shooting enemies. We have fixed and optimized this problem. It is now suspected that when the monster initializes the application of physical bone logic, the speed of the client is faster than that of the host, which triggers a logical error and causes a disconnection. We will continue to pay attention to this problem, if you still encounter this problem after this update, please inform us in time.



2. New Ammo UI。(Beta)


In this update, we added a new feature, the Ammo UI. This function is still in the testing stage, we hope to continue to develop this set of functions, so as to maximize the replacement of the UI in front of the camera.

Hardcore mode reload animation covering all firearms

Now in hardcore mode, all weapons will have an animation of the magazine inhalation reaction when inserted into the magazine.

Hardcore mode weapon operation optimization


a. After inserting the magazine for a short period of time (0.5 seconds), you cannot immediately eject the magazine . This is to prevent misoperation.


b. In the dual-hold state, when the left hand is close to the main hand, the rate of controlling the rotation of the firearm will be reduced to prevent excessive rapid rotation.


c.After using the reload key to cancel the bolt catch , in a short period of time (0.5 seconds) you cannot immediately eject the magazine . This is to prevent misoperation.


d. In some cases, the bolt dragging logic failure . This problem has now been optimized.


e. Now you can't eject the mag when firing。

Added projectile effects for machine gun turret and shotgun turret

Completely turn off SnapTurn or SmoothTurn

1. Rework hardcore mode magazine insert logic

Many players have complained more than once that the mag insertion in hardcore mode is very uncomfortable. Now, we have substantially revised the cartridge insertion in hard core mode. The judgment of the current magazine insertion is very loose, you can easily insert the magazine! This process will be very smooth.
We will continue to optimize the operation of the hard core mode next!

2. Duplicate weapon in multiplay prevent logic

After several versions of testing, we formally added a set of mechanisms to prevent the use of multiplayer network delays for weapon replication. We hope that this mechanism will allow everyone to enjoy reasonable game fun in multiplayer mode, and will not be affected by the cheating. This system is still under test, you are welcome to continue to give us more feedback.

3. Turret adjust

The initial health of the turret has been increased,6k/5k/7k/9k(Flame/Laser/MachineGun/Shotgun)。
The cost of each repair is reduced to 500
After each wave is over, the turret will be automatically restored to full health!

4.Fixed bug where client players were not be harmed

1.Rework the Shotgun reload in hardcore mode

First of all, thank you very much for your feedback. The reload logic of the original shotgun in hard core mode will be greatly affected by the frame rate. This leads to a wrong judgment of the shot when the shotgun is used to shoot under certain circumstances when the frame rate is changing violently. . After receiving a lot of complaints from players, we redesigned the reload logic of the shotgun in hard core mode. This new set of logic will work properly even if the frame rate is unstable.
We will continue to optimize the reload of other weapons in hardcore mode!

2.Error correction in tutorial and text beautification

This is also a problem that many new players react to. We have fixed this problem, and beautified the fonts that appear in the teaching tips of the teaching concept, and also optimized the teaching interaction.
We will continue to optimize teaching tips for different types of VR devices.

3.Snap turn/Smooth turn system Rework

This is also a problem that many new players react to.
In this update, we reworked the system of snap turn and smooth turn. After this update, players will be able to customize the rotation angle and speed as well as the rotation method.

When the Snap turn is On,
Each turn will rotate left or right at a fixed angle. The angle of rotation to the left or right depends on the value of "Turn Speed ​​/ Angle".

When the Snap turn is Off,
Your turn will become smooth turn. The turning speed is depends on the value of "Turn Speed ​​/ Angle".
The larger the value, the faster the rotation speed.

---Touch Locomotion/Turn---

The default is off. When this option is on, you can locomotion and rotation by touching the touchpad without pressing the touchpad.
We do not recommend turning on this option for devices with a joystick.

4.Fix the Snipe penetrate bug

ZomDay official version released today!


After a long time of production, ZomDay finally attracted the last time of EarlyAccess, but also the first update of the official version! From then on, ZomDay will end the 3-year EA phase and enter the official version phase! This update includes a brand new map with tower defense elements, a variety of new enemies, dozens of new weapons with special features, and a large number of optimizations and bug fixes.
After the transition to the official version, we will make a slight increase in the price of the game.

Here is the update list:

1.New map:DeepDarkHole


The new level has elements of tower defense! Players need to guard on multiple routes of monster attack, and build defensive towers on the route to destroy the attacking monsters, and finally protect the central tower located on the center platform of the scene!










Players can build and upgrade and maintain turrets through the builder of defense towers. These turrets have their own abilities, and a reasonable combination will give them their greatest strength.






2.New Weapons

Updated weapon has reached 10 kinds! In addition to adding new weapon types, some of the more duplicate weapons have been replaced.















3. Optimization and adjustment


  • Dual-hold position compensation: offset compensation of the grip point during dual-hold, mainly for some special weapons such as chainsaws, MG42, minigun and other large weapons. During dual-hold, the fulcrum of the auxiliary hand will slightly leave the dual-hold Centerline (more to the left or right, depending on which hand you use for the auxiliary grip), this will make your auxiliary handshake not stretch too far and cause fatigue, making it feel better in dual-hold.
  • In the arcade mode, the speed of the automatic rifle after firing in the bullet time is the same as the speed in the non-bullet time.
  • The weapon model in all scenes was replaced with Mesh instead of the previous SkeletonMesh, which would reduce the CPU load.
  • Hand detection was Optimized.

This is the first patch after our Chinese new year vacation. We’ve received a tons of feedback and bug report after the last Beta 1.5 version , so this patch is aiming at the Serious bugs and fixing them.

Here is the change list:

1. Hardcore mode grab magazine Optimize:
Now you can drop the mag by just release the grab button after you grab it. It works for Vive and OC both.

2. Bolt/Slider operate collision area Optimize:
All the Bolt/Slider detective collision were enlarged.

3. Bug fixed:
Now OC controller can do the weapon ‘offhand’ in hardcore mode normally.

4. Bug fixed:
The mag not spawn after left hand grab a gun after a melee weapon.

5. Bug fixed:
Semi auto shotgun’s ammo capacity may be chaos in hardcore mode in sometime.

6. Bug fixed:
Now the SVD will go to your back slot instead of your R/L slot.(because it is sniper rifle)

7. Bug fixed:
Katana’s holding angle was adjusted to controller.

Now the Firearm display board will display your unlock weapon normally since we force it to read you save file when you begin play.

In this release, we officially launched the long-awaited hardcore model. In the hard core mode, all gun operations will be consistent with the real world of gun operations, allowing everyone to truly experience a "doomsday zombie survival simulation." We have also added zombie dismember, hit recover, and dodging systems, and now the zombie's response will be more realistic. In addition, network reconnection, optimization, online bug fixes and other updates will be released in this update! Please see the list of update changes below.


1. Hardcore Mode

Hardcore mode is the highlight of this update! When the hard core mode is turned on, the game's operating mechanism will change a lot. Let's take a closer look at the hard core mode:

You can turn it on in the main menu ! The upper right corner button.

All firearms operations simulate the real firearm operation to the greatest extent. Players need to use both hands to reload magazine.

Use the grip button to perform all gun operations, including pulling the slider, the bolt, or pulling the magazine out.

At the same time as the gun is taken, a magazine will spawn. The clip can be grabbed to reload a weapon or throw it into the world. In other words, players in hardcore mode can drop the clips into the world and share it to the other players. It should be noted that if you drop directly at your own feet, you will be regained the ammunition yourself, just like picking up (step on) the ammo boxes in the world. So, when you want to share ammunition with your teammates, please find a higher table and put it on~

For example, the base damage of a shotgun is 10 . After entering the hard core mode, the base damage becomes 10x2 = 20. Shooting enemies 10 meters away, the damage value is 20, and if you are shooting at a distance of 0 meters, the damage value is 20x3 = 60. By analogy, the damage of a shotgun in hard core mode will change between x2 and x6 within a distance of 10 meters.
The damage distance attenuation also applies to shotguns in non-hard core mode, but the power will change between x1 and X3.
