Hello all,

I am delighted to announce that Willowbrooke Post is out now in Early Access!

Opening the Doors to Willowbrooke

We are glad that you've chosen to support solo indie dev Dante Knoxx on his exciting journey to create Willowbrooke Post. For just one person, the game is an ambitious one, and we're excited to bring you a post office management game with charming characters and narrative.

For Early Access we are starting by releasing the management game, to ensure we have the balance of post sorting, wrapping and survival just right. This simple core loop forms the foundation for the wider experience Dante wants to create.

If you are here for the story, and want to experience the charming world Dante is envisaging, then the opening of the game will give you a hint of the direction and some of the surprises and delights we have planned.

As an Early Access game we hope you will enjoy the ride, and work with Dante to help hone and shape the game experience into something truly special.

Thank you for all of your support.

This is just the beginning of the journey.

Thanks,
The Willowbrooke Post Team

Official Soundtrack Samples - Willowbrooke Post Composer Announced

Firstly, I'm excited to announce that Willowbrooke Post's original soundtrack is composed by Chris Randle, whose music and sound design credits include Team 17's LA Cops and Mike Bithell's Volume.

Willowbrooke Post Main Theme
https://youtu.be/87UiW2yS1Ek
Chris Randle: The overarching goal of the soundtrack was to create something that reflects the warmth and neighbourliness of life in a small village. The main theme sets the scene, so it had to communicate this idea. I focused on making the musical setting as intimate as I could by using brushes on drums, breathy woodwinds and fingerpicked guitars.

Train Journey Through a Snowy Landscape
https://youtu.be/EzKxMGTtXOo
We also have one more piece of music to share today, a piece which accompanies the game's opening sequence with the player character travelling from back home to Willowbrooke.

Chris Randle: The train to Willowbrooke takes place on a snowy New Years Eve night. I wanted to capture this in the music. The melody itself is based on a steam train whistle, played using blown bottle samples. I chose the accompanying organ because it reminded me of the chuffs of a steam engine. The high chimes sit behind it all to add a wintery, starry feel.

If you want to find out more about Willowbrooke Post's talented composer or to follow his updates, you can find his website here and his Twitter here.

If you're yet to add the game to your Steam wishlist, make sure to do so to keep up to date!
