HAMMER TIME
You have the Anvil to battle the battle things. Now complete your set with the tools of the master craftsman, the HAMMER. Designed to be powerful, hard-hitting, and the embodiment of destruction.The Hammer is the Retrocitor's equivalent to a Battleship, bristling with weaponry, and known as a Warship. Much like Battleships, Warships are the gunships of a fleet, equipped with a devastating arsenal. Warships are unable to target multiple ships on their own, utilizing a single large firing arc, but are also more durable and agile.

The Hammer comes down June 9th in Complicity</h3> 



 The Hammer is the Retrocitor’s equivalent to a Battleship, bristling with weaponry. Able to strike at targets all around it, the Hammer is more agile than its Battleship counterparts

Link Torpedo

 The Link Torpedo is a high-velocity torpedo, using its momentum to punch through its target and chain into multiple enemies, using Explosive damage. 

Net Squadron
The Net Squadron is a modified salvage collection unit, originally designed to hook up energy tow cables to salvage, now weaponized to deal damage to enemies. 

Burst Thruster

 The Burst Thruster does what the name implies and provides a short boost to the forward speed and acceleration of ships allowing them to close in on enemies. However, the boost only lasts for a brief period.

Barony Duke Carrier Flagship

 The NPC Carrier, the Duke, is a new hull being developed for the NPC faction, The Barony. This ship is the Carrier/Flagship of the Barony faction. It features Hangar slots for offensive prowess, giving it a long-range 360-degree firing arc. It provides support bonuses to allied Barony hulls in its vicinity, as well as provide offensive support in the form of long-range weaponry and drones, as well as shutting down enemy hulls that wander into it’s range.   

Weapon Specials
  • Known for pushing the limits, the Retrocitors developed the Superheated Rounds to increase the damage Kinetic weapons deal to heavily armored hulls by dangerously exposing the core of the munitions. Use this special when dealing with high health enemies, or with hit and run hulls to wear enemies down.
  •  The Overload Conductors was designed to help Energy Retrocitor weapons overload enemy shields and get damage past them. Use this special when dealing with enemies with high Shields to punch through their defenses.
  •  The Rapid Launchers was created to help deliver the ordinance of Explosive Retrocitor weapons to their targets faster. Use this special when dealing with faster moving ships or any swarms of ships you need to take out quickly.

[Tech] Experimental Salvage

  • Repurposed Squadrons - While equipped, the health and dps of equipped squadrons is increased but it takes time to load up replacement squadrons.

[Hull] Anvil Carrier 

The Anvil was originally used as a mobile salvage and repair platform, hauling the crews and tools needed to complete long recovery operations. Now it has been refitted to act as a Carrier, deploying squadrons to attack while supporting nearby hulls.


[Tech] Retrocitor EN/EX/KI Resistors

The Resistors provide hull resistance against select damage type in addition to counter-tech for different weapon behaviors


[Tech] Momentum Thruster

The Momentum Thruster was designed by the Retrocitors to provide a powerful thruster system that focuses on hull handling. It also takes the momentum energy gained from sharp turns and converts it into shield energy.


[Tech] Breach Squadrons

The Breach Squadron is a modified salvage collection unit, originally designed to set explosive charges and seperate pieces of salvage to break them into smaller pieces, now weaponized to blast apart enemies.


[Commander] Khalin Hullwright

Kahlin still has his Root implant and it has allowed him to access the weapons systems of Retrocitor ships under his control, improved the performance of any Vulcan based weaponry equipped to them as well as improved the Shield energy of his fleet. He uses his ship building knowledge to help the Retrocitors escape from, and take the fight to, the Astral Barony.

[Crusade] The Retrocitors have been working with R&D and created the Stalker Ranger. Utilize the mobility and out maneuver enemies while earning the new Experimental Salvage components in Crusade. Starts Thursday, April 14th, 2022 at 3pm PST. 


[Campaign] The Enemy of My Enemy… This new campaign will feature 5 NEW! targets and continues the lore and what is to come after Keres’ defeat. Astral Barony forces continue to pour into the Sector, determined to bring destruction to those that stand in their way. Our newfound allies, the Retrocitors, have given us valuable intel as to the motives of the Barony and, even better, tools to help take the fight to them.

[Tech] Experimental Salvage


  • Unstable Power Cells - While equipped, the DPS of the hull is increased.

  • Range Booster - While equipped, the hull's max effective range is increased.
[Hull] A new Ranger class hull, the Stalker can deal high damage from a very long range but cannot sustain much damage, requiring either an escort to prevent ships from sneaking within its minimum range or strong flying skills. 

[Tech] The Reclaimed Shield boosts shields to almost dangerous levels, although it is limited to a single damage type.

[Tech] The Charge Beam is a powerful beam weapon that ramps up quickly dealing heavy burst damage to enemies.

[Tech] The first Tier 11 Trigger; Surge Intruder warps in a single Intruder class ship, specializing in a single damage type. 

[Tech] New ship thrusters are being researched, starting with the Drag Thruster, which reduces hull drag helping hulls reach their top speed faster.

[Base Tech] Based on the Retrocitor’s Reclaimed Armor,  Reclaimed Plates boost module defenses once equipped.

[Base Weapon] Based on the hull weapon, Sling Driver Turret can now be equipped to bases.

[Hull] The Inheritor Dreadnought is intended to be a fleet replacement, working well against targets with high health but will see trouble with its rear blind spot and inability to deal with very large swarms of enemies.



[Tech] Salvaged Thrusters are best used to supplement a Dreadnought’s inherent weakness of mobility.

This month is the start of Tier 11 and some interesting new content. Participate in monthly events to earn the new tech brought by the Retrocitors, as well as learn why they are here and what they are running away from. 

RETROCITOR SCRAPPER




 




[Deception] Join the Retrocitors in their battle against these mysterious invading forces. Earn the first Tier 11 ship, the Scrapper, and try out the Experimental Salvage to find the best combination for your play style. 


[Mobilization] Earn the Scrapper MK III - MK IV upgrades while earning a top spot on the leaderboards! 


[Alliance War] Alliance War is a hybrid PVP/PVE event where Alliances fight with other Alliances for control over Mining Outpost in a special Unstable Sector to earn Intel and Solar Shards that they use to purchase prizes and unlock additional tiers or prizes in the event store respectively.


[Decimation]  Attack targets to complete the Retrocitor Scrapper Elite and grab the Reclaimed Armor, Reclaimed Shields, or Diversiform Missiles you might have missed. 







[Scrapper]

The first Tier 11 hull, the Scrapper, is a fighter class hull that will feature strong defenses and above-average damage output.  This will be the first hull with an Experimental Salvage slot and two items to choose from. 





[Experimental Salvage] 

The Experimental Salvage mechanic is the new defining mechanic for Tier 11. You will be able to choose from a selection of components to equip to ships for custom gameplay.



[Reclaimed Shield] 

The Reclaimed Shield is manufactured from scavenged technology. While its shield energy output is at a high level, it lacks the resistances of other shields, instead able to offer high resistance to a single type.



[Reclaimed Armor]

The first hull armor in the Retrocitors faction and provides Armor Health and Explosive Resistance to start.





[Diversiform Missile] 



The Diversiform Missile appears to fire a single projectile missile, but upon detonation splits into 2, and then splits again into 3. In addition to covering the enemy with multiple projectiles, there is a small AoE to help against swarms.




[Campaign] These time-limited missions are being repurposed to help set up lore and provide additional activities for those that want more combat. These campaigns will not only give you context to VEGA events, but will also give you a step up in Tier 11 with relevant prizes.





  • Slingshot Prime Shift Boost fixed, min range on weapons now work as expected

  • Modulator has Spectre Resistance removed and it’s Prime Shift Boost resistances lowered.

  • A9 no longer gives a Spectre Resistance but instead boosts Charge Time and Drain Rate for Prime Shift.

  • User interface icons with low resolution are being updated.

Our forecasting radar has detected prolonged, severe magnetic activity in select sectors of space. Keres seems to be behind it, but the charged particles interfere with our predictive instruments. Tread lightly as your instruments will likely be affected as well. Grab the Optio hull to use Liberatus tech against them, disrupting opposing systems in battle. 

SPECTRE OPTIO






[ION STORM] WARNING: A large magnetic storm is brewing. The magnetically charged sectors feature Liberatus targets dropping plans for the Optio hull. Brave the high energy particles to earn the Lustre Cannon III and Ilos Missile III. Forecasting is predicting the storm on Thursday, December 9th at 3pm PDT.

[Mobilization] Liberatus Ameliorate targets hold the pieces you need to upgrade your Spectre Optio II-IV. Don’t forget the Hacksaw Vulcan Turret III fragments are waiting for you in the Hone targets! It starts Thursday, December 16th, at 3pm PDT.

[Decimation]  Shut down the top Ameliorate to collect the pieces to complete your Spectre Optio Elite! The new Hiberna targets will grant the previously unavailable Spectre Boosed Dissipators Type C. All in Decimation starting  December 29th, at 3pm PDT.



[Solstice] Once again, we will reenact the Norwalien's narrow escape from a collision with a Red Giant. Join in the Snowball Fight Thursday December 23rd, at 3pm PDT.






[OPTIO] A Debuffer designated hull is adept at spreading various status effects amongst enemies opening them up for more damage. A Debuffer features stronger defenses at the cost of offensive prowess. Debilitate and Shield Disruption

[LUSTRE CANNON] A new Energy weapon has been developed to aid the Optio in combating spawned hulls and other enemies in close proximity. The Lustre Cannon uses ricochet projectiles to damage and debuff multiple enemies.

[ILIOS MISSILE] The Ilios Missile uses a single, guided missile to deal lots of damage in a large area. The Ilios was developed as an offensive option for tier 10 Carriers, and can only be equipped to these hulls.

  • A9 resistance has been changed to 30% to prevent fleets being indestructible

[ENERGY SURGE] Burst into battle on Thursday, November 11th in the ENERGY SURGE feature event to earn the Modulator, Hacksaw Vulcan I-III, and Fulgor Beam III.


[Mobilization] Upgrade your Modulator MK II-IV by gathering pattern pieces from the newest Liberatus targets in the November Mobilization, then claim the Dart Wing III and Electron Sentry III. It starts Thursday, November 18th, at 3pm PST.


[Decimation] Be prepared to complete your Modulator Elite with the newest Liberatus Capacitor 129 and 131 appearing Thursday, November 25th at 3pm PST.


[Alliance War] Join your Alliance on Wednesday, November 24th at 3pm PST to gain Intel, Solar Shards, and Marauder Tech from a collapsing sector.




[MODULATOR] It’s a tank! It’s a fighter! No, it’s the Tier 10 Spectre Modulator! This Specialist hull uses its Prime Shift abilities to act as a tank with high resiliency, then transitions into a DPS hull using the stored energy to increase offense and return fire. The Modulator, unlike previous hulls, has a lower Prime Shift Threshold that is not tied to a conditional weapon.


[ADK-09 “ANNIE”] Fleet Commander ADJ-09, also known as “Annie”, was an officer recruit in the Spectre Division. With her advanced knowledge of Spectre, she optimizes Prime Shift systems to give your Spectre fleet a step up with an increased charge rate. 


[TRACKER TORPEDO TURRET] Based on its namesake, the Tracker Torpedo Turret uses an AoE torpedo that spreads on impact. Another tool to use against swarms of enemies. 


[EN/EX/KI DISSIPATORS] A new set of base dissipators are here. These dissipators feature a single resistance type (Energy, Kinetic, and Explosive) and include weapon counter tech for the expected behaviors of that type. 


[SPECTRE BASE WEAPON SPECIALS] New Base Specials are here, providing a boost to key stats for each damage type: Explosive, Energy, and Kinetic. These specials trade off by the benefits with mass.

  • [FLAME STRIKE] Launch into battle to earn the Warbird, Tracker Torpedo I-III, Carbyne Armor I-III, Electron Wings I-II. Flame Strike begins Thursday, October 14th @ 3PM PST.
  • [MOBILIZATION] Upgrade your Warbird to Mk4 using materials found in Mobilization, then earn the Electron Wing III.
  • [DECIMATION] Fully upgrade your Warbird using materials found in Decimation, but don’t forget to pick up materials to craft the Pyro Sentry III for the latest in base defense.
  • [ALLIANCE WAR] Join your Alliance in Alliance War, which is tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, October 27th @ 3PM PST. Gain Intel, Solar Shards, and Marauder Tech from a collapsing sector, but most of all, have fun with your Alliance.


  • [WARBIRD] The Spectre Warbird is the quintessential battleship, featuring area of denial capabilities including dual firing arcs (one on side of the hull) and allows for ample weapon loadout flexibility thanks to its 8 weapon slots. Independently of its Prime Shift state, upon losing its shields it fires a single projectile which splinters into three projectiles, which in turn, splinters into five additional projectiles.
  • [TRACKER TORPEDO] Using explosive damage along with AoE, the Tracker Torpedo brings the best of battleships into a single weapon - as the name suggests, it uses guided shots to help ensure it reaches its target accurately.
  • [CARBYNE ARMOR] Using a more effective health to mass ratio than previous armors, Carbyne Armors are the latest in Tier 10 defenses, providing not only a boost to Prime Shift charging, but also grants 50% resistance against Energy, Explosive, and Kinetic Damage at level 3.
  • [SENTRIES] The Shelling Sentry, Electro Sentry, and Pyro Sentry are included in this release and are planned to be introduced throughout the coming months. First is the Pyro Sentry, then keep an eye out for the Electro Sentry and Shelling Sentry in the coming months.
  • [HANGAR WINGS] Electron Wings, Scorch Wings, and Dart Wings will become available over the next few months in a similar pattern to Base Sentries: Electron Wings become available first through the Flame Strike event and Mobilization, then look out for the Scorch Wings and Dart Wings in the future.


EXECUTOR DREADNOUGHTDue to the Executor having 100% damage resistance under certain circumstances against new event targets, the Liberatus Resistance it features at Mk3 to Mk6 will be capped at 30% (currently 50%).

On Tuesday, September 21st, we completed a hotfix which capped Liberatus Resistance at 50% due to the Executor not taking any hull damage whatsoever using certain equipment loadouts. It was later discovered the most recent high level targets can be destroyed for free repairs, which was unintended. After further testing, it was deemed necessary to further reduce the amount of Liberatus Resistance to 30%. This change will be active directly after the server update.


  • Fixed an issue where Architect’s Prime Shift Boosts applied to Architect instead of its Spawned Ships.
  • Fixed an issue where Borophene Plate 1 and 2 may not display resistances in stat blocks.
  • Fixed an issue where Spectre Dissipators may not appear as available to equip on Mobile.
  • Fixed an issue where Fulgor Beam item XP was set to Tier 9 values.
  • Fixed various minor localization issues.

[SOLAR BURST] Burst into battle on Thursday, September 16th in the SOLAR BURST feature event to earn the Architect, Pyro Coadjutant III, Fulgor Beam I-III, Ternary Shields I-III, and Compressed Rounds III.


[Mobilization] Upgrade your Architect to MK4 using materials found in the September Mobilization, then claim the Electro Coadjutant III and Shielded Conductors III.


[Decimation] Gain the power of the Elite Architect through Decimation. Gain the Kinetic-based Shelling Coadjutant III, then pick up the Nitro Munitions III.


[Alliance War] Join your Alliance on Wednesday, September 22nd @ 3pm pdt to gain Intel, Solar Shards, and Marauder Tech from a collapsing sector.




[ARCHITECT] The Tier 10 Spawner Specialist has arrived! The Architect features a number of Spawner Slots, stats, and prime shift abilities to support Spawned Ships, including Prime Shift Boosts for speed, DPS, damage resistances, Counter-Chain, and Counter-Ricochet. Its Prime Shift Active features a Chained Stasis Energy projectile to help fend off any swarms of enemies.


[COADJUTANTS] Three types of Coadjutants, one for each damage type (Explosive, Energy, and Kinetic) will be released over the course of September. When they say the best offense is a good defense, point them to the Coadjutants, which provide both offense AND defense when used strategically.

In the weeks leading up to this release, a semi-public PvP playtest was held and over 200 rebels gave us a massive amount of feedback on the current state of Fleet vs Base (FvB) combat. We listened, and in this release, not only does the Capitol Carrier arrive alongside three Field Generators and three Squadrons- there are also FvB improvements that are based entirely on community feedback. No FvB update would be complete without new base equipment though. Look out for Borophene Plates and Fission Missile Turrets.

This is it! Base updates have arrived, providing new turrets, module levels, and more - find the full details below. Also in this release, expect a new Umbra Fighter, the Wendigo, and Dyad Beam which debuts alongside it.

We’re listening to your thoughts on the recent resurgence enhancements and have begun investigating potential changes. There are two main focuses for these changes. The first is to retain the feeling of winning and the second is to resolve base guards, which may require an exceedingly large amount of attacks depending on the amount of guards used. As these details are finalized, additional information will be posted.

As previously mentioned, the browser version of VEGA Conflict is wrapping up. This is tentatively slated for the April release. This will let you play on the fly, and you’ll only have to load up KIXEYE.COM.

[Hull] Thrive in combat using the Umbra Wendigo, which excels at close-ranged, aggressive encounters.

[Tech] The Dyad Beam is the first Tier 8 beam and uses Energy Damage. Convert these to Blight, Plasma, or Alien damage for additional combat flexibility.

[Trigger Ability] The Omni Blade fires at multiple angles of attack, blasting massive close-range energy at the push of a button.

[Hull] The Zettabyte is the first Tier 8 Pharmakon Dreadnought, using its Salvo Stutter Overdrive, Giga-Pulse Overdrive, and hit and run tactics to control the battlefield.

[Base Tech] Look out for the Nova Missile Turret, which provides explosive damage with AoE. These can be converted to Blight, Plasma, and Alien damage variants.

[Base Tech] The Atomic Driver Turret is a long-ranged Kinetic Driver, convertible to Blight, Plasma, and Alien damage variants.

[Base Tech] Resonant Plates provide additional defenses for your base and give a bonus boost to Shield Energy.

[Base Tech] Step up your base defenses with the Plasma Field, Blight Field, and Xeno Field, which provides Shield Energy, defenses, and damage-type specific resistance.
